The term “dog” was indeed a common expression in Jewish culture of the time when referring to Gentiles, though it was not flattering. Dogs were generally viewed as unclean animals in Jewish thought, and the term was used metaphorically to highlight the religious and cultural separation between Jews (God’s chosen people) and Gentiles (non-Jews). However, Jesus’ use of the diminutive form of the word for dog (akin to “puppies” or “little dogs”) softens the tone, suggesting a less harsh interpretation, perhaps hinting at eventual inclusion. This story has several layers: 1. Cultural Context: The term reflects the Jewish perspective of the time, where Gentiles were often seen as outsiders to the covenant with God. 2. Testing Faith: Jesus’ response can be understood as a way of testing or drawing out the woman’s faith. Her humble yet bold reply showcases her deep trust in his ability to heal, despite her outsider status. 3. Foreshadowing Inclusion: The woman’s persistence and faith symbolize the breaking down of barriers between Jews and Gentiles. Ultimately, Jesus praises her faith and grants her request, pointing toward the later inclusion of Gentiles in the Christian message. So if anything: Jesus was trying to get rid of your ways of seeing Gentiles, it's not that hard. Then now you want to say it was Jesus who did the things YOU would do, while He showed you that is quite evil in fact .By the way read the Tal mud you hold so dearly and come back and discuss your own true colours please WOW
Gentiles are not outsiders to the covenant with God. 1. Noah and his family were saved because they obeyed seven laws. 1. Know God. 2. Respect God. 3. Respect life. 4. Respect marriage. 5. Respect property. 6. Respect animals. 7. Preserve justice.
Gentiles are not outsiders to the covenant with God. Gentiles follow the 7 Noahide laws given to Prophet Noah which does not include circumcision. Muslims follow the 7 Noahide laws given to Prophet Noah and the circumcision covenant given to Abraham through the descendants of Ishmael. Jews follow the 7 Noahide laws and the additional laws in the Torah given to Moses and the circumcision covenant given to Abraham through the descendants of Isaac.
Thank you, Rabbi Singer, for explaining this 'issue' to the caller. It is one of the things I have most often noticed being profoundly misunderstood by people who aren't Jewish, and most of the time I can tell that it isn't enough that I, being a commoner, explain the truth to them. We really need people like yourself to help make it all readily available to everybody. I am grateful to be able to visit your channel, to watch your content and listen to your wise words. And I pray that you and your family remain healthy and well during these difficult times. שלום
Martin Luther was obsessed with these notions of the Jewish people cursing gentiles and calling the worship of Jesus 'Hebel Vorik' in Hebrew or vanity and emptiness. I think his health problems and old age in the 1540's contributed to his antisemitism and religious fury.
Jesus never did the following: •Ezekiel 37:21. Bring the Jewish people back to Israel •Ezekiel 37:22 one nation with a king •Ezekiel 37:24 Jewish people will all do the teachings of G-d. •Isaiah 11:9-10 world wide knowledge of G-d. •Ezekiel 37 & 47 building of the third Temple which will stand forever. •Isaiah 2:4 No More war •Deuteronomy 17:8-11 Jesus did not fullfil the Law. He was never recognized as a prophet or Messiah. :D
@@GreenCanvasInteriorscape Because that's all in the Second Coming. Can't be a suffering servant and a conqueror in the same coming, after all. "Never recognized" - lol, imagine arguing with Elijah and Moses, who DID recognize their Lord. Now answer why God doesn't accept any animal sacrifice after 30 A.D.
Also it's the Gentiles that used to refer to Jews as the 'Chosen People' but in a condescending way! We don't go around calling ourselves the 'Chosen People' as we know that we are Servants to the Most High!

Thank you, Rabbi Tovia Singer. Your lessons always are only truth. And your words are always kind to those who refuse to listen. You are above bar above reproach. Thank you for being such a moral man, who seeks truth alone.
Rabbi Tovia Singer’s mind was incredibly blessed by HaShem. How you handle and deal with such callers just amazes but also inspires me. May HaShem continue to bless you in all you do , and of course with long life! For we all need your wisdom .
Thank you for your teaching Rabbi Singer. I always had an interest in the teachings of the Jewish perspective since I am from a family of both faiths, Christian (hence my name) and Jewish from my mothers ancestral line. Recently I have started reading scipture again, but this time I am reading Tanakh to get the true word of G*d and it filles my heart with joy.
Well, I guess Jesus shows his true colours here, in the NT. Once again Rabbi Singer, with his broad and deep knowledge of Scripture (both Tanach and NT) demonstrates the truth, beauty, and eternality of the Torah.
On the contrary, it had a much deeper meaning than was attested in this video. To be blunt, if you want to understand Jesus, you don't go to a Jew, and Singer intentionally avoided the truth of what the Talmud says about gentiles, which it has made comments that are not good. I expect Singer to leave that out though. As for Jesus referencing gentiles as dogs, it is a reference back to the garden where Cain's lineage went on to produce a legacy of criminals. God is always honoring that original branch Israel, and even a jew that is out of the promised land can be a dog, and non-Jews can be grafted onto that branch and be likewise servants of God.

My guess is that he is a KJV only pastor. He sounds exactly like one that used to call the atheist experience. I’ve heard that version of that person many times growing up in the church. Also, I doubt the pastor even listened to the response.

Amazing answer from Rabbi Tovia שליט״א (may he live long and good years). Almost brought me to tears. Love, wisdom and humour tearing down the lies of 2,000 years.
Sanhedrin 59a discusses the role of Gentiles in Judaism: "From where is it derived that even a gentile who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest? It is derived from that which is stated: “You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances, which if a man does he shall live by them” (Leviticus 18:5). The phrase: Which if priests, Levites, and Israelites do they shall live by them, is not stated, but rather: “A man,” which indicates mankind in general. You have therefore learned that even a gentile who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest." Rabbi Weiner quotes and explains this ruling in The Divine Code, 2nd edition, page 92: "If the Gentile is one of the pious of the nations of the world who keep the Seven Noahide Commandments as their part in the Torah of Moses, because he is commanded to do them, and he is careful in their proper observance according to the Noahide Code, and he is involved in learning the parts of Torah that relate to these seven commandments, he is indeed considered before God as being as honorable as a proper Jewish High Priest who served in the Holy Temple."
What a brilliant answer..Tovia has a great sense of humor..with a little sarcasm…he really cares about people wherever they are in their understanding or where they find themselves along life’s journey in the pursuit of truth…which coming from a Christian background usually starts with anger mixed with a little curiosity tucked in an argument lol…but I have found just studying the Bible and using Tovia’s study guide (all scripture)..there isn’t an argument anymore..just questions here and there and I am so grateful fir gaining wisdom and understanding by much study…and all the good podcasts here on this channel and others…it’s a long journey but well worth giving time to. Tovia’s example of being loving and kind with those who don’t understand yet is priceless..and something worth putting into practice.
Rabbi Tovia Singer is correct. The narrative indicates that Jesus referred to the Canaanite woman as a dog. A critical takeaway from this account is the perspective of the authors of the Christian Bible. It is essential to recognize that they seemed unaware that, according to the teachings of the Prophets of Israel, during messianic times, all righteous individuals, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, would have a place in the World to come.

Not he's NOT. In the original Greek text, Jesus never referred to the woman directly or indirectly as a "dog". The exact word Jesus used here, in Greek, was kunarion, meaning “small dog” or “pet dog.” This is a completely different word from the term kuon, used to refer to unspiritual people or to an “unclean” animal. Christ used a metaphor to make a point and test the woman's faith and intentions. Besides, what people here are ignore is that Jesus praised the Gentile woman for her great faith and healed her daughter.
Whose translation? The King James bible is in English, right (I haven't read it, that's why I ask)? King James is the most widespread version of the Christian bible in English speaking countries, so it isn't unfair to expect that the caller would have found these things there. I'll admit I was a little shocked to hear that Christians call gentiles dogs and pigs. That's horrible!.. I haven't met any Christians who used these terms about non-Christians (or about Jews or anybody else), so maybe it's a thing of the past? Still, if it is indeed in the bible, then it has an effect on those who read it. And considering how many, many times the bible has been rewritten, and parts have been taken out or added, I think it might be a good idea to consider changing this particular part too - if such a thing is possible in our time.
The KJV is actually the best translation from the Hebrew. It may not have all the layers of meaning as Hebrew does, but it's p'shat meaning is an accurate translation from Hebrew. You would have a hard time finding a word and saying it was "incorrect".
@@yoshiperspectives4880 The King James mistranslation is not taken from the original Hebrew, but from Greek and Latin mistranslations. If you want a good English translation taken from the original, I recommend ArtScroll. The Judaica Press translation is also good, but I like ArtScroll better. Note that there are certain words and phrases which cannot be translated. The good thing about ArtScroll and Judaica Press is that they will contain footnotes explaining those passages which cannot be literally translated.
Thank you so much again Rabbi Singer. The topic converting to Judaism is on my mind a lot since 3 years. I have been a Noahide since then, but there are times when I feel so drawn to converting. I just don't know where to start. 🤍💙 from Lisanne, from the Netherlands. Are there any Dutch Jews around here who can me help me figure out how and where to start?
This man unfortunately missed the point that it is the Lord's plan on how HE wants the earth and mankind to be in the future. HE has given mankind a great deal of time and freedom in what is HIS creation and yet we dont seem to get that as humans; that we are the created beings in a world created for us that is not ours to do with whatever we want.
Thank you Rabbi.🦋 Every non jew can convert to become jew and bible 36 times commands jews to love converts.🕎🕎 So much for this "subhumans, pigs and dogs" nonsense.
Wow amazing answer!!...the issues are always about really bad transcriptions and wrong perceptions about the difference Tanaj and christian Gospels...is not the same!!...
I can't begin to say how much I respect the patience of Tovia. I did, however, see that eye roll early on. How do you keep from laughing out loud at these calls. They offend even me. I'm a proud ex-Christian, Tovia, and his explanations of Judaism helped me so much in understanding the toxicity of my old way of life. I don't currently hold to any faith, but I have so much more respect for the views of Judism than for the idolatry I came from.
Todah Rabah Rabbi Tovia Singer for all you do! This is so great! I'm so blessed to have you in my life! We are so blessed to have you! I❤ listening and learning from you! May your father's memory forever be a blessing! May his neshama have the highest Aliyah!
Even the Exodus was not just the salvation or rescue of the Jews/Israelites alone. As is written in Exodus 12:38, "a mixed multitude went up with them" out of Egypt. In other words, many non-Israelites were redeemed from Egypt along with the Israelites. It has always been the Jewish belief that "all the families of the earth will be blessed with" us. See Genesis 12:3. The idea that we think we are superior to others or have any interest in ruling over others has only ever been a lie by those who hate us to trick others into hating us too.
Why do you think people hate you Jews, answer, its because you are the chosen race ( i personally would have chose Scousers, people from Liverpool) but I'm not God. For this reason Satan creeps into peoples hearts to get them to hate you. You weren't chosen coz your week so stay strong you have many friends specially in England .Shalom.
Thank you Rabbi for all your insights and revelations it is life changing. Food for thought for us all : Noah, Abraham, Job, Enoch where call counted as righteous in G-d's eye before Moses got the laws. By the way the laws are there for the Jews, as we been taught by the Rabbi's(my understanding paraphrasing), to do what pleases Him not what we think we can do to please Him. So the whole world can server G-d. Enoch pleased G-d, before the law, so much he did not see death, image that it's mind blowing. May the whole world learn of these truths so idolatry and man made religions can be gone and the one TRUE G-d can be served.
Wow !!! Jesus called his worshipers Dogs well I guess that this is one of the verses that ( by Divine Providence ) the new testament authors failed to edit ???
I do not understand how Christians can believe in Jesus when there are open quotes about him calling people dogs what kind of craziness is this? Not very "Godly" if you ask me.
Because we know he didn't mean it. He knew his disciples would reject her. Actually casting out demons was mostly apostles job. He could do it himself but they won't have learn anything so he waited their wrath and used it to shock them and by the same way showing the canaanite woman undeniable righteousness. They were surprised by his reactions and the reaction of the woman and therefore they changed right after.
I’ve spoken to a guy like that before. Spouts ignorant drivel (not only pertaining to this topic, but many others) believes every single conspiracy ever, zero humility to acknowledge what they don’t know. I’m convinced that hardened conspiracy theorists are driven by a need to act out their repressed aggression in “acceptable” ways, thus they need to find a villain. This way they can turn their aggression into a story of the “hero” taking down the “villain”.
Dont forget when Jesus said:¨Dont cast your pearls before the swines.¨ A swine, an unclean animal in the Torah. This is in the Christian Bible. Chazak u Baruch Tovia. You handled it with class.
Paul conjures Christianity for the gentiles. So Christianity has nothing to do with Jesus, since Jesus says you won’t enter God’s kingdom if you ignore the slightest law. To worship a man as god as pushed by Paul is idolatry. Pure and simple.

He was never recognized as a prophet or Messiah. :D
Dude, stay in your lane. What do you know about Jesus? Clearly not much. Jesus stated that those who deny him will not enter the Kingdom of God, and he said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Moreover, in the original Greek text, Jesus never called the woman a dog but used a metaphor where he used the Greek term for puppy or pet dog and not the bad term dog that means unclean animal. People who do not understand Koine Greek always get this story with the Gentile completely wrong, leaving out the fact that Christ praised the woman's faith and healed her daughter. Of course, many here also fail to mention that Jesus referred to the Hebrews/Israelites who denied him much harsher and worse things than a dog or a pig.
Thank you. Being raised a Catholic, I never heard an unfavorable remark about members of the faiths. 1. Catholicism does claim that our faith is a better and easier way, not the only way. 2. Other faiths are critiqued, themselves, not the followers. 3. The faith only references certain parts of the Bible. Very little of the OT is used, except the Psalms and logical and pertinent sections. 4. Catholics are not required to read the Bible. 5. I attended 12 years of diocesan ran education. 6. In 10th grade, we studied the Bible like a history book. In 11th, we studied the major world religions. We were required to be as objective as possible. 7. At graduation, I was awared the Religion Award. There were 600 boys in my class.
Really? So what do you think happens to someone who completely rejects Jesus and doesn't believe in any of it? And let's also say this individual is a very moral, upstanding, good person. What's going to happen to him according to every branch of Christianity including Catholicism? He's going straight to hell, right? Without Jesus, it is irrelevant what else there is. Sounds pretty intolerable to me.
I was born and raised Catholic and went to a convent school from Gr 1-12. While in primary school, at the end of terms, we were herded into the school hall where we were shown films (movies) of the hateful Jews murdering JC. They taught us in a subtle way to hate Jews. Thankfully, even while I was watching said films, there was a voice in my head and, dare I say, my heart that told me those were lies and that G-d loves His people. I remember one specific film shown to us when I was 9 or 10, where this knowledge I had was very strong and I could actually see the evil of the movie. Because of HaShem's loving-kindness I am now a Noahide.
@sharonraffanti3632 Wow! Thank you. That's why I specified diocesan ran schools. I'm in Philly. 1. In a large city, any religion tends to be less of a cult. 2. Religion class was treated like any other subject. 3. Only on special days would we go to church. 4. In high school, there was little indoctrination. It would be with 2,400 students.
@sharonraffanti3632 Wow, congratulations on working through all of that. That's why I specied diocesan ran schools. 1. Any religion tends to be less of a cult in large cities. 2. In Philly, religion is treated like any other subject. We would go to church on special days like Ash Wednesday. 3. Even less indoctrination in HS, especially with 2,400 boys. 4. Diocesan ran schools started around 1900. So, the kids could avoid discrimination and harassment. Catholics were 'It', many right off the boat.
G-d is so much different between the two bibles. I've found more love and compassion through listening to the Jewish perspective. Jesus preached more about "HELL" more than anyone in the false testament. It's ridiculous.
As a Christian I was troubled by this verse when I first read it a couple of years ago. My fellow Christians will perform mental gymnastics to explain this. The most common explanation is that this was just the beginning of Jesus's ministry but later he was more inclusive of gentiles and Paul certainly was. Its a complex and confusing picture. Your explanation is helpful but only if we reject Jesus and KJV.
Nothing troubling about this verse if you understand it. You have to understand the fundamentals of your Bible. This refers to the lineage of Cain, which is a deep topic, but the woman's answer proved to Jesus that she wasn't a dog, and she received her need. Read the parable of the sower of good seed and the enemy that sowed seed after him. That explains it. You also have to remember, 99% of the world never had a clue Jesus was on the earth, and that includes many in Israel, because Jesus was only sent to the few servants of God.
Jesus came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel to gather them in the last days. Reuniting judah and Israel. The gentiles were the other flock. We live after the Millennial in Satan's little season revelation 20.7. Jerusalem where they tell us is a lie and a joke . Does thst dump look like the glory of all lands? The joy of the whole earth?
@@MrDonpasqualino Jesus was sent to "the lost sheep of Israel" not to "the few servants of God". The woman was called a dog because she was a gentile. Imagine calling someone in such distress a dog who came to you for help. The woman didnt have the benefit of reflection on other parables. "Fundamentals, deep topics" dont answer it. How would you feel if you reached out to Jesus and he called you a dog? You are right that 99% of people on earth never had a clue that Jesus was on earth which is why the idea that people will suffer eternal punishment in Hell if they dont believe in him is so abhorrent. Thanks for your reply.
You. Need to study your Bible more. The word Gentile means nations and mist of the time is referring to the northern house of Israel. Jesus told you who these Christ deniers are. Wake up
It appears that you may not have fully engaged with the material presented. The narrative indicates that Jesus referred to the Canaanite woman as a dog. It is essential to recognize that they seemed unaware that, according to the teachings of the Prophets of Israel, during messianic times, all righteous individuals, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, would have a place in the World to come.
You're wrong. The exact word Jesus used here, in Greek, was kunarion, meaning “puppy” or “pet dog.” This is a completely different word from the term kuon, used to refer to unspiritual people or to an “unclean” animal. Jesus often tested people to prove their intentions, often through response questions or challenges. Jesus praised her faith-calling it “great”-and granted her request (Matthew 15:28). So, according to both the context and language involved, Jesus wasn’t referring to the Canaanite woman as a “dog,” either directly or indirectly. He wasn’t using a slur but making a point using a metaphor. He was also testing the faith of the woman and teaching an important lesson to His disciples.
In your explanation of "serving Jews" you forgot to mention that Jewish law rsequires that we treat our slaves with the utmost respect. If this slave does not have a blanket or pillow we are obligated to give him or her ours, i.e., from our bed[s].
To elaborate on the concept of service you can also draw on the service of Joshua to Moses and all students to great rabbis who they call Master throughout the Talmud and throughout Jewish history you even see it today the way students follow around the great teachers of Israel in order to learn from their wisdom and their actions
The ancient nation of Israel was made of twelve tribes divided into two kingdoms - the Jews and the other ten tribes. The Jews are the southern tribes of Judah and Benjamin and representatives of the others. The other ten were the Northern Kingdom of "lost ten tribes" of Ephraim, Manasseh, Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. These ten tribes are still out in exile in the world, currently awakening. Ezekiel 37and many other Hebrew passages say the two kingdoms will reunite.
Rabbi Akiva says, “The ten tribes will not return, as the verse says (Deuteronomy 29:27), ‘And the Lord uprooted them from upon their land, with fury, anger and great wrath, and He cast them to another land, as it is this day.’ Just as a day passes and it will never return, so too, they will be exiled never to return.”
😵😵😵 When you fully awaken or sober up you might notice that that comment was directed at the tribes of Israel Maybe when you're watching an Amazonian documentary about the tribes in the Amazon you can bring up the tribes of Israel incoherently again Jesus never did the following: •Ezekiel 37:21. :D

It needs a very good understanding of Hebrew, sadly much of Torah has been misinterpreted, misunderstood and misquoted ! There is NO OLD Testament .Again this is Christian Talk A away to reject Judaism ! Great question, excellent answer and perfect delivery. It's good to remember that the Gospels include code language to keep it's secrets hidden from evil doers, like "water" doesn't mean literal water, it means the oral Torah and there are many keywords like that. Jesus said he came for the lost sheep of Israel, and that "salvation is of the Jews" and this video podcast goes to prove that. Yes, society can and has functioned in different places with only the literal interpretation of the New Testament, but we have been seeing 2000 years of war, poverty, famine, "end times" paranoia etc and so we can assess that any literal interpretation has proven its flaws. Literalist might reconsider their reading of all scripture for isn't the word of G-d equal in literation but more importantly in Spirit? Is there not always a point of light✡ in between the object ☦and the mirror✝? It says in the Gospel that John the Baptist was beheaded and his head delivered on a tray, wouldn't it be safe to assume that rather than some woman asking for a bloody human skull, she was instead asking for his mind, the teachings of his knowledge of Torah likely written down? It also said his head was buried. Could it be that he wrote out a text that holds valuable teachings for both Christianity and Judaism? Could finding the lost "head" of John the Baptist summon in the coming of Moshiach? Thank you Rav Singer
Actually, Hebrew, tradition from the exodus from Egypt, document majority of the population was Egyptian that is the Hebrew message was always for freeing the entire world
At Mount Sinai, the approximately 3 million assembled Israelites entered into a Divine Covenant with God and became the Jewish People, and they received the Torah Law from God through Moses. From that point on, anyone born to a Jewish mother is a Jew, and is obligated in the Jewish commandments of the Torah. Likewise anyone born to a Gentile mother is a Gentile (one of the Children of Noah), and is obligated in the Noahide commandments of the Torah.
The actual word is not dog in Matt 15:21-28. In the original Greek it is actually “whelps” or “puppies”. Puppy or whelp is more endearing word as opposed to dog. That said, the more important message of this passage is that Jesus does end up helping the gentile women in the end, as he did other gentiles in the New Testament. Yes he came for the Jews as he mentioned in the passage, but he was even more harsh in his language to his brethren the Jews when he criticized them in the NT.
But when Y’shua said to go to the House of Israel, He was saying both houses. The northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah. The northern kingdom was scattered to the four corners of the earth. I believe that many of the lost sheep of the House of Israel, believe that they are gentiles, when in fact they are of the H.O.I. I was thinking when you talked about the Jews were saved from Egypt, and this is true, but there were 12 tribes at Sinai, not just one. And you are right about “others” that are not of Israel being grafted into the covenant, because the sojourners came out with Israel when YHWH saved them out of Egypt. They had to be circumcised, and to keep the Passover. There is one Torah, for the native born and the stranger. Anyway…. I know I will be refuted. (I’m used to it LOL) YHWH bless you and keep you always!

Any Gentile who accepts the Seven Noahide Commandments, and is careful to observe them, is truly a pious individual of the nations of the world, and merits an eternal portion in the future World to Come. (And with this merit, the person will be included in the Resurrection of the Dead).
The Rabbi is forgetting the rest of the story about the woman from Canaan. Jesus healed her daughter as she requested, showing that Jesus did not think that she was a dog. He was merely repeating what was popular sentiment among the people to make a point, and then he acted to heal the woman’s daughter despite her being a Canaanite.
It appears that you may not have fully engaged with the material presented. The narrative indicates that Jesus referred to the Canaanite woman as a dog.
@ The key take away has nothing to do with the issue of the perspective of the authors of the Christian Bible. The key take away is in the text of the wording of the story itself as it stands. Start with the actual text, before conflating it with other things. Jesus mimicked that the woman was a dog because that was the popular attitude among the people, including some of his disciples. And then he show this mentality was corrupt by his actions to heal the Canaanite woman’s daughter instead. It is pretty straightforward.
The caller stated that the Sacred Divine Hebrew Scriptures refer to gentiles as 'dogs".. Rabbi correctly states that it is jesus in the christian book that called people "dogs".... not the Sacred Divine Hebrew Scripture.
Both Rabbi Tovia and the caller are mistaken in their definition of what a "Dog" was/is. The term dog in scripture is speaking of those who are not aware or taught the divine mysteries or secrets, those who do not partake of the hidden meaning of scripture. If you take this into consideration and carefully read this parable or scenario with the "possesed woman" (there's a hidden meaning here) again, you will see what it is really saying.
Knowledgeable Rabbi am i wrong thinking before ( Rabbi the Prince of Judah ) started saying Hesham instead of YHWH and before that all Jews called YHWH ( YHWH ) or am i a nut who just comes up with things coz I'm board. Shalom
Rabbi is this quote from a Bible you've just inferred wasn't written by Jews so its not very good translation. I have a NT Bible that's says different and was partly written my a Rabbi . Shalom.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Matthew 28:19 KJV “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 KJV “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:44, 47-48 KJV 7:59 “and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:4-5, 7-8 KJV “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.” Acts 2:1-6 KJV Occupation of toleration is God’s in the name of Jesus Christ.
What if Yeshua acted this way to show the deciples what is their standing toward those outside? What if He faced them a mirror so they would realize how wrong they are?
NOWHERE did God EVER mention the "Yeshua/Jesus" character to us, NOWHERE did He tell us that we need to be "saved", and NOWHERE did he tell us that He requires HUMAN BLOOD (a purely pagan ritual that God ABHORS!!) as atonement for our sins.
@AdaraBalabusta first part of your comment I do not agree with. But not going to discuss this further. Second part, amen to that.shalom. do not think every believer in Yeshua believes trnitý.peace
Well, jezues has form. There doesn't seem to be any Jews that he didn't think was the satan's spawn. Basically, anyone who didn't agree with him. He was not a tolerant man.
Book of Ruth is similar in the way that she picked up gleaning droppings. Also she marries Boaz, kinsman redeemer by sign of shoe, they had Obed. Father of Jesse, Grandfather of David. 6:19
You miss the point of scripter. Jesus referred to the woman as less than a Jew to test the faith of the woman and teaching an important lesson to His disciples. He demonstrated that all were worthy. Jesus acknowledged her faith and granted her request. Why not provide the entire context.
Jesus sinned; therefore, he was not a deity. Jesus taught contrary to the Torah; therefore, he was not the messiah. Repent. Obey the seven Laws, given to all people in Genesis 1-9.
@@PROVEIT2If you read the regulations about slavery in the Torah, you will see that they are very similar to working for a living today. The enslaved people were to labor for a certain amount of time for a certain amount of money. After that time ended, the enslaved person was free to leave.
@ "If you read the regulations about slavery in the Torah, you will see that they are very similar to working for a living today." That's not true my dear because in Exodus 21 it states that masters can beet their slayves. It also tells masters where they can purchase their slayves. Does that sound like someplace you've worked before? I hope not. Good luck.

See. Rabbi Tovia Singer: Why is taking the name of God in vain unforgivable?
The term “dog” was indeed a common expression in Jewish culture of the time when referring to Gentiles, though it was not flattering. Dogs were generally viewed as unclean animals in Jewish thought, and the term was used metaphorically to highlight the religious and cultural separation between Jews (God’s chosen people) and Gentiles (non-Jews). However, Jesus’ use of the diminutive form of the word for dog (akin to “puppies” or “little dogs”) softens the tone, suggesting a less harsh interpretation, perhaps hinting at eventual inclusion.
This story has several layers:
שלום
Thank you!
Tell them Tovia, tell them.
Martin Luther was obsessed with these notions of the Jewish people cursing gentiles and calling the worship of Jesus 'Hebel Vorik' in Hebrew or vanity and emptiness. I think his health problems and old age in the 1540's contributed to his antisemitism and religious fury.
As usual, it was the Gentiles in their writings who gave non-Jews a bad name, not Jews.

@@Adamburling In the original Greek text, Jesus never referred to the Gentile woman as a dog. The exact word Jesus used here, in Greek, was kunarion, meaning “puppy” or “pet dog.” This is a completely different word from the term kuon, used to refer to unspiritual people or to an “unclean” animal. Plus, he used a metaphor to make a point and test the woman's faith. And what people here are overlooking is that Jesus praised the Gentile woman for her great faith and healed her daughter.
Amazing teaching!
Thank you, Rabbi Tovia Singer. Your lessons always are only truth. And your words are always kind to those who refuse to listen. You are above bar above reproach. Thank you for being such a moral man, who seeks truth alone.

Thank you, as always, Rabbi.
Thank you for your teaching Rabbi Singer.
@@kashrut18 can you explain Daniel 9:25-29? Because Tovia can not.

Wow that man was hateful. Good job speaking to the point calmly and demonstrating how absurd his question was.

You have therefore learned that even a gentile who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest."
Rabbi Weiner quotes and explains this ruling in The Divine Code, 2nd edition, page 92: "If the Gentile is one of the pious of the nations of the world who keep the Seven Noahide Commandments as their part in the Torah of Moses, because he is commanded to do them, and he is careful in their proper observance according to the Noahide Code, and he is involved in learning the parts of Torah that relate to these seven commandments, he is indeed considered before God as being as honorable as a proper Jewish High Priest who served in the Holy Temple."

That's your FIRST mistake....the "KJV"!!!!!! 😮
The King James MIStranslation.

Some sweet sarcasm from Rabbi.
No sarcasm from the Rabbi. All the sarcasm was from the caller.
Wonderful response.
Noah had the 7 Noahide laws.
Yes neither Enoch or Elijah saw death that's why that's not surprising in the New Testament.
Ignorance is bliss. It's widely known that Jesus Christ spoke in parable.
Wonderful Rabbi, but did you ever get the caller to change his mind.
Many times, week, months, or years later, I receive that wonderful email from a penitent caller. This man is in my prayers.
Paul conjures Christianity for the gentiles. So Christianity has nothing to do with Jesus, since Jesus says you won’t enter God’s kingdom if you ignore the slightest law.
To worship a man as god as pushed by Paul is idolatry. Pure and simple.

The Roman Catholic Lectionary for Mass contains 23 selections that are blatantly anti-Jewish.
@sharonraffanti3632
Wow!
@sharonraffanti3632
Wow, congratulations on working through all of that.
Thank you Rabbi your knowledge of both the Christian Religion and Judaism is profound !
The Caller's uses the KJV 1611 version as his source? WOW . The Caller needs take a break !
The King James MIStranslation.
Jesus wasn't sent at all. Jessu was an invention of the Roman empire.....cruci-fiction
Wow he called angry
Victorcold Rabbi Tovia Singer is brilliant , you really think he doesn’t understand metaphors ? Reallly ?????
Excellent explanation and so full of the Truth.... Thank you Rabbi
What about tribes from the amazon who never heard about your desert Santa Claus?
😵😵😵
When you fully awaken or sober up you might notice that that comment was directed at the tribes of Israel
Maybe when you're watching an Amazonian documentary about the tribes in the Amazon you can bring up the tribes of Israel incoherently again
Jesus never did
the following:
•Ezekiel 37:21. Bring the Jewish people back to Israel
•Ezekiel 37:22 one nation with a king
•Ezekiel 37:24 Jewish people will all do the teachings of G-d.
•Isaiah 11:9-10 world wide knowledge of G-d.
•Ezekiel 37 & 47 building of the third Temple which will stand forever.
•Isaiah 2:4 No More war
•Deuteronomy 17:8-11 Jesus did not fullfil the Law. He was never recognized as a prophet or Messiah.
:D
Amelia Bassano God bless her soul.
Christopher Marlowe God bless his soul.
Wow, this guy really missed the point of that story... but I shouldn't be surprised at the subterfuge.
❤
raydun studying Tanak takes a lifetime ! The Torah is very deep and full of wisdom ! It needs a very good understanding of Hebrew, sadly much of Torah has been misinterpreted, misunderstood and misquoted ! There is NO OLD Testament .Again this is Christian Talk A away to reject Judaism ! By the Islam has also distorted the Hebrew Text to fit into there narrative , which came long after Judaism , so did Christianity !
Most people making these arguments are probably hearing it from rumours found in the Talmud, and assume it’s also in the Tanakh
What is the difference between Jews (House of Judah) and House of Israel (Ephraim, Joseph or Ephraim and Menasse)
Dog, Canaan, Canis, Caleb... its translation games.
Its literally latin speakers referencing Canaanites.
Mr Don the Talmud is way beyond your understanding it takes many years of understanding to grasp it !
Actually, Hebrew, tradition from the exodus from Egypt, document majority of the population was Egyptian that is the Hebrew message was always for freeing the entire world
The nations will be in the new Jerusalem. Under the return of Messiah
It also means that we are all descendents of Noah..
(I’m used to it LOL)
YHWH bless you and keep you always!
The stranger who keeps Jewish commandments is a Jewish proselyte, not a Gentile.
Talmud
Why did Jesus tell the apostles to preach all nations if he was only here for the Jews?
You didn't watch the whole video
Not sure why any of it would be taken seriously.
A reasonable person never takes religious doctrine as serious.
Don’t obey the seven Laws if you don’t wish to. You have free will. Best wishes with that decision.
@ "Don’t obey the seven Laws" What evidence do you have to prove your god is real?
Who forced you to watch it?
Jeremiah 16:19 [The greater picture] Describes the generation of the desert, we close to those days, the extinction of the wicked.
Psalm 78:8 - And they shall not be like their fathers, a wayward and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart straight, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. [Generation of the desert]
Psalm 95:10 - For forty years I quarreled with that generation; and I said, "They are a people of erring hearts, they do not know My ways.”
Jeremiah 16: 19O LORD, my strength, and my stronghold,
And my refuge, in the day of affliction,
Unto Thee shall the nations come
From the ends of the earth, and shall say:
‘Our fathers have inherited nought but lies,
Vanity and things wherein there is no profit.’
20Shall a man make unto himself gods,
And they are no gods?
21Therefore, behold, I will cause them to know,
This once will I cause them to know
My hand and My might;
And they shall know that My name is the LORD.
Oooooo. I'll be a dog!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤. I love dogs
Thank you Rabbi....new insight for (me) - Matt 15: 23-28 ...
But he didn't read the whole Passage in Context
Matthew 15:23-28
New American Standard Bible 1995
23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting [a]at us.” 24 But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and began [b]to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 And He answered and said, “It is not [c]good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 But she said, “Yes, Lord; [d]but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed [e]at once.
The Parable and that's what this is a Parable
Shows that Genitals by Faith are included also Get it !
Cool, now do the talmud!
Rabbi Tovia Singer has the patience of a saint…just like his father…may his neshama have an aliya .
He likes to nit pick and Topics that are really not that Important
Hi Marlene!! I hope you and your family are well and that you enjoyed Chanukah!!
Jesus said multiple times that all nations were welcome in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Just saying.
Thank you brothers, Yeshua the Messiah will return soon.
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

He didn’t ask you what is in the gospel of Matthew lol the question was what can you offer us when all your desert prophecy’s come true
Shalom
So much for Christ Consciousness in the New Year...
Jesus was not the christ/messiah as evidence by his sin of teaching contrary to the Torah.
Rabbi is this quote from a Bible you've just inferred wasn't written by Jews so its not very good translation. I have a NT Bible that's says different and was partly written my a Rabbi . Shalom.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
Matthew 28:19 KJV
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15 KJV
“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
Luke 24:44, 47-48 KJV
7:59
“and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:4-5, 7-8 KJV
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.”
Acts 2:1-6 KJV
Occupation of toleration is God’s in the name of Jesus Christ.
What if Yeshua acted this way to show the deciples what is their standing toward those outside? What if He faced them a mirror so they would realize how wrong they are?
“Yeshua” was violent narcissist and a sinner.
The G’d of Abraham is neither a man nor a trinity. He loves all who sincerely repent of their sins.
That's what Jesus was rejected by the Jews because he preached to all people not just juice all are equal in the eyes of God
If all people are equal in the eyes of your god than why did he tell masters where to purchase their slayves? Read Exodus 21.
I hope not. Good luck.
