You're welcome! Wax and pouring temperature affects candle texture. For using natural wax recipe like soy wax and beeswax, feel free to check out my video “Candle Making Tutorial #1: Pillar Candle” which is detailed in achieving a glossy finish by temperature control. For glossy paraffin candles, make sure to use paraffin additive (I use AC-6 bc it's cheaper) and pour the wax at 100℃ - 110℃. ( paraffin candle tutorial related: Candle Making Tutorial #3, #10, #11)
@@shancandlewhat brand name of Micro Wax soft type can be used in USA? I saw that the Chinese and Korean shops are selling white block of such wax that is originated from USA. Is it Sonneborn multiwax W-835 or W-445? And there is a candle glue which is tacky, don't know which type of wax it is. Would reeaaky appreciate for your response ❤
Hii may I know what do you use soft micro wax for? It is indeed relatively easy to get in Korea. If you are in US, you may check if Candle Science has it. As far as I know, soft microcrystalline wax is usually mixed with beeswax in shaping formulas such as flowers, but they can be substituted with other wax. Wax glue is sold at Candle Science. In fact, small wax decorations can be glued with quick-drying glue 401.
@@shancandle yes I use with beeswax and it gives a lot of glossy effect. Unfortunately there are no additives at candlescience excepting UV additive. It’s too expensive to deliver from Korea to USA
oh yes indeed the shipping fee is expensive. You wanna make a glossy beeswax pillar or something? If a pillar, hard micro can be added. No brand restriction. And pouring the wax at 100℃ can make it glossy as well. If you wanna handshape something, like flowers, and soft micro is unavailable, 48℃ melting point paraffin wax and white beeswax (1:1) works as well.
