    「京鹿子娘道成寺」 Kyouganoko Musume Doujouji

    Title:Kyouganoko Musume Doujyoji
    Dance:Miki Kurokawa
    Music:Nagauta "Kyouganoko Musume Doujyoji"
Among the Kabuki dances, the "Doujyoji" theme in which a shrine girl dances in front of the gong in prayer, can be said to be the most representative of the elegance and brilliance of the Kabuki dance.
In "Musume Doujyoji" the dance was made into a more flowery and magnificent female dance. The song and dance were further refined in this "Kyouganoko Musume Doujyoji."

This is a female, doing Nihon Buyo, traditional Japanese dance. Roots in Kabuki and MALE actors for female role called Onnagata, and i still will say she did a great job in this role. Very good job. Both men and women have their own individual charms. So i enjoyed this very much.

Tamasaburo has spoilt it for all actors playing this role. Tamasaburo just adds an element that cannot be easily attained by mere practice. He IS the maiden goddess when he plays this role.

I'm very glad for you to have interests to Tamasaburo and Kabuki.By the way one opinion,I think that my dance style is maybe different to Tmasaburo. It's thinking for Natural posture. How to add an element"natural or intentional" is very difficult as you say. I'm trying to be natural expression of the soul and practice but very difficult and not yet enough. I hope you can catch me! Miki.

Miki Kurokawa is so young and has so much ahead of her for the future! She will become a legend like Tamasaburo Bando, the greatest Onnagata.

"Kyouganoko Musume Doujouji" is the masterpiece of Japanese Kabuki-style traditional dance. This dancer's name is Miki Kurokawa. She is one of the extremely talented dancers of young generation. Let's expect in the future of her !

I was stunned when I saw it was a woman performing. You can really tell! She does an amazing job (and not just "for a woman"), but a performer!

Thanks for you to see my Japanese traditional dance. You pointed a little bit faster movements in my dance. You are right&sure that the sharpness in a moment is important in Japanese traditional Dance and difficult.
This Technique is just like IAINUKI(Japanese Fencing style).
I hope you understand to some extent.

Tos vestidos tienen tematica del mar
La parte inferior del vestido es tipo cola sirena .
En la parte trasera de la cabeza tiene franjas rojas y blancas como una gamba que cultivan ..
El tema del mar es super especial ..

Tomasaburo has many years on this young lady, and by the time she is his age, I bet she will be just as stunning! Are you solo? I thought they did not traditionally let women do Kabuki in a group, even though it was invented by a woman, from what I have read. kick butt!

Thanks for your comments. As you said, I don't belong to Kabuki. Even nowadays a woman is off limit in Kabuki, yes tradition!. My dance is NIhonbuyo(Japanse traditional dance). But this dance "Doujouji" is from Kbuki,so similar. When you have a time, please look at "North province(Hokushu北州)” on this channel. This is typical Nihonbuyo. MIKI

I will! I love it so much! It's amazing what you do, for such a tiny woman!!! I recognized it, and Tomasaboro went to China to study the movements of the hands (I believe I read this), and he is so much older. I say "bah" on tradition, too. I LOVE watching these dances to relax me. You already have the hands; you don't have to study how to use them! It's so beautiful!

I'm very glad for your evaluation to my art.
My art is not Kabuki but Nihonbuyou(Jpanese traditional dance).
The roots of Nihonbuyou is Kabuki. But more than 200 years,Nihonbuyou would be
    changed to an independent art.
"defect?" Aha~n, good guestion and difficult to answer.
Please, look at 'Ryusei(shooting star)' and 'Hokushu(north province)' in my channel .
Ryousei's roots is Kabuki and Hokushu is a typical Nihonbuyou.
How do you feel to see them? By any chance, you may get the answer.

Ok! I didn't know that! Whatever is traditional in an art seems to be better. Out of interest, why do I see others going so slow? Is this a defect?
Please excuse my criticism. You are an excellent at your art, Kabuki seems to be illusive, requiring much dedication and skill. I wish there was much more Kabuki in America!
