This was a really cool opportunity to voice one of my favorite oddballs, even for a few lines. This had info that was new to me, excellent dive. Thanks again, yes?
Good in depth review of my fav comics character - just one note that his shrinking to human form was an entirely accidental collision with the Tardis after he got sent through Unicron's time portal before it exploded (surprising you didn't mention Legacy of Unicron, he goes mentally toe to toe with a literal god!). He did get a contract to kill the Doctor later on (issue 8 of his own series) which he took up enthusiastically, after that initial encounter 😊
I remember when I was younger some metal heads that liked comics just as I did, introduced me to this guy. They mentioned he was a UK creation, was a bounty hunter and was a robot. I was in immediately.
Considering the current course in Marvel, Death’a Head could work in the movies as still an agent of the TVA and help wrap up/speed run the whole multiverse arc or mention that he's been taking care of the Kang issue behind the scenes or even meet with the Fantastic Four to help them in their movie
Just got my Panini collections (which include the Seventh Doctor appearances due to Panini having the master license for European Marvel reprints and the magazine license for Doctor Who) signed by Simon Furman at Thought Bubble.
Funny you should mention Death's Head working for the TVA. Christopher Yost clearly had the same idea. In 'Avenging Spider-Man' #17 (from 2013), DH appears as an agent of the TVA, who even summon replacement versions of him from the timestream every time he gets killed.
Originally established as sometimes in the employ of the TVA during his first Marvel US appearance in Fantastic Four back in 1990. Walt Simonson really liked the character design and wanted to bring him over.
Decepticon Leader Shockwave hired Death's Head to terminate Rodimus Prime not Cyclonus and Scourge. They got in his way so he was willing to accept the contract from Rodimus Prime to terminate them.
Deaths Head was designed to be a supporting character in Transformers and that's what he works as. Trying to make him the hero of his own solo series doesn't work. I never felt he fitted in the Marvel universe either. Shame he can't go back to Transformers where he belongs and works best.
That 2019 mini series was awful! I got the first issue but it seemed to be about a gay couple shopping for their first apartment together and talking in silly billy banter. As that seemed to be the best they had for their first issue to hook readers in I didn't bother buying anymore of it.

I like the idea of him working for the TVA. Going into different timestreams, taking out anachronisms. I think it could work really well

Ah, Death's Head. Yeah, alas he's owned by Marvel. At least they have started USING him again, yes? *lol*
