  • After seeking out the secret Spy Gadget Factory, Jamie and I decided to visit Yardley Chase as it has been on our list to visit for 3 years. Yardley Chase is a World War Two Ordinance Depot built in 1942 by McAlpine Ltd (A Kettering Company) to store bombs. I believe the depot was in use well into the 1970's but I could be wrong on that. Each unit on the site was linked by little industrial railways, with The Northampton to Bedford Railway serving as its mainline railway. The northern section of the site is now occupied by Cadets Training. Amazing what is in our local area and I'd like to thank ‪@JamieBrady‬ ‪@Wombled‬ for joining me on this grand adventure into railway and war history.
