I was surprised to know that he is upset and when I had a conversation with him, I was amazed. Somehow his clutch was really hard (Issue from the factory? May be). He explained other things which was interesting. We talked about Hyundai but its not about all Hyundai cars (Some of them are great for sure).
    Lets hear him out.

I had the diesel ecosport. Which is 1600 km run. Initially gear is hard and It become smooth after few 100 kms. And also clutch is smooth for me till now. Suspension set up is stiff bcoz of tallboy design to have a controlled drive. Check ecosport moose test you will understand why the suspension is stiff. Before buying you should have researched little more to see whether this car will suit you or not. I think some issues with ur clutch that should be checked with SC. Till now I haven't faced any clutch hard issue.

A very honest review. Even I faced hard clutch issue in a bs6 TD vehicle which had clocked around 10k kms and the sales executive gave me same reason of many ppl driving the car. Research on the net too confirmed many complaints on the clutch in old vehicles. Seats I felt small, gap between dead pedal and clutch is very narrow, rear window is claustrophobic. Bottle issue highlighted in this video is ultimate. Safety wise it is good but then comfort also matters when you drive in city for maximum part.

  • @nirmalya171
    @nirmalya171 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    1. I have been driving Ford cars for seven years now. Had an Aspire before and now this same Ecosport. Diesel clutch in Ford's are harder than anywhere else. When I first made transition from Hyundai Grand i10 I was like what is this. But then you take it as a gym equipment, and then gradually get used to it.
    2. Gears also do not slot as well as they did in my Grand i10.
    3. For hill climbing, 2nd gear is not actually dumb. It climbs beautifully at 2nd gear provided you take rev to 2,500 rpm. It infact it did much better than some of the route Boleros and Trax in Darjeeling.
    4. Visibility in Ecosport I felt was more commanding than Grand i10 or Aspire.
    5. Handling at 150 kmph is best at the price band where Ecosport comes. Precise steering and planted ride. Suspension is on the harder side to ensure this. Within city, 31 psi Nitrogen is best therefore. Upgrading factory fitted Goodyear's to Michelin's also help.
    6. 0 to 100 is not the best. But 60 to 160 is fantastic! In fact, Aspire which has the same engine and is of less weight is a dream in this department.
    7. Seats could have had more shoulder bolstering. But the driver cockpit feel is very good. Everything is easily accessible.
    8. I have also faced same issue with the water bottles. Therefore I keep only one standing bottle on driver's side.
    9. Mileage I am getting is 15.8 kmpl. With mixed driving of city and highway.

I bought Ford eco sports 43 days back, it’s titanium variant and tbh I’ve shifted from Hyundai i20 elite to Ford eco sports and yes there’s a lots of different in both car, I haven’t faced any problem till date. Eco sports is fully comfortable, compact, powerful, good road presence and of course built quality & I also did a lot of research about the eco sports and overall in this budget and I am totally satisfied what I have. 💯

Blind piller glass window is for may be to break and unlock car in case you have lost the key or accidentally kept the key inside for minimum damage and replacement of glass. It is definitely not for visibility.
And the main con is its millage in mostly petrol but if millage doest matters to you i recommend to change all tyres to 215/60/R16 for better grip in hilly areas the current tyre slips on many occasions where there is more gravel or mudy slipery roads thats why the power feel less in hills sometimes

I am using Ecosport Petrol Automatic drive since 2016. For city and highway driving it is good. There are no roof grab grip handles to hold. Whenever there is sudden brake or uneven road drives unconsciously, Subconsciously our hands go out and search for the roof handle for stability which are missing for the passengers. I complained the same to Ford, they said they had to remove to place the airbags.
For additional safety they should not remove the basic things. It is also a constraint for elders to get in and out of the vehicle without the roof grab grip handles.

I think there are some serious issues with this Ecosport. I've completed 6k on my 5 month old Ecosport same varient. Clutch travel is very less, it is smooth, mileage is great (16-18 in city and (21-24 on highways and 30+ when cruising at 70 on long strech), blind spot could be a problem but I think I have adapted to it, seats are pretty comfortable. No issues regarding them.
I believe the owner is new and needs some more time to adapt with his car. There may be some clutch issues which should be resolved by service center.
At the end of the day I'm extremely satisfied with my Ecosport!

I own a ecosport titanium diesel since a year now. This guy is only right about the blind spot due to thick pillar and seat discomfort. For other issues, maybe its specific to his car. Mileage you get 16-17 in city easily and between 20-25 on highway easily. Again depends on ur driving but unless u r a very rash driver u can get these numbers easily. Drive is plamted and great. Power is linear and adequate. Clutch is fine but obv hyundai and maruti hav lighter ones. Btw steering is superb and accurate. You cant even compare maruti and hyundai steerings with ford. Ford diesel engines clutch are hard in general. I drove both Aspire and Ecosport Diesel and they were pain to drive in city traffic. On Mileage that I got on ecosport was around 18-19 in mixed conditions probably even 20 but I'm veering towards cautious side. I am experienced and I drive carefully so probably that's why. Also, keep tyre pressure etc optimum, that affects things a bit.
