Great episode taff, ahh.. the Junkers 87.. classic Luftwaffe aircraft, had tons of fun with this myself so many times over in the past, though I prefer fighter aircraft, the Junkers 87 is a plane that any talented flier will have hours of great flight hours and fun with. From experience I gained from the 1946 IL-2 and GB series, I've had endless hours of great results when it comes to air strikes and anti-shipping strikes, but if your wanting to survive your main hope.. from my experience that is.. is hope you have effective fighter escort, tail guns are all fine and good but if your dealing with capable USSR fighters.. your in for a struggle. Regardless this would make a fantastic series if your interested in the Junkers 87 as a candidate.. I've had vast amounts of fun with the Junkers 87 so I say go for it. It's just a thought so please don't misunderstand me, it's just me supporting the channel, or if your interested in another campaign for IL-2.. and you don't feel comfortable in operating the Ju-87.. try giving the BF110 a swing.. that gives you a lot of challenging moments at times but also a good amount of fun and exciting moments at the same time also. Thanks for another fantastic episode taff, was really great.. loved it, keep it up and well done mate 👏 👍👍
A little long winded but i agree, any IL-2 content from Taff makes me happy and especially the campaigns. Also, the stuka is cool not only because it is the only airplane that gets to set the soundtrack before they attack
@@edwardjohansson2909 Long winding is something I'm breaking out of, and making great effort also.. but now and then, get caught in the clutches, but at least it's an effort isn't it? Fun aircraft is the Junkers 87, very fun.. especially with anti-tank attacks. Great experience also in my honest opinion 😁.
How is is masochistic? We merely watch TH-cam in 2024. We are not actually the pilot who 80 years ago loses their consciousness for a couple of seconds when they pull up from the dive.
@@Cybernaut76Yeah they're very slow, and if you get found by fighters, you're in for trouble. It can sometimes turnfight surprisingly well for a bomber but it wasn't made for it in any regard.
@@hunormagyar1843 In for trouble? Normally, yes but maybe not if your rear gunner is as masterful as I remember seeing from Taff (or was it some other uploader). That man has played machine gunning games his whole life it seems! Though once Soviet fighters managed to shoot down his He-111.
Pity there wasn't Defiants defending those ships (low level). Would have been interesting to avoid them once you completed your dive. Or maybe they might have dived down with you ? " .. why is that hurricane trying to overtake me ??? .. oh! wait, he's got a turret ! Not a hurricane ! ..EVADE ! .. "
The modern IL-2 games don't have as many aircraft as the old IL-2 1946 did. Taff is flying a 1942 Ju-87D in a 1940 mission - the correct version of the Stuka for this mission is the Ju-87B. The top speed of the Ju-87D is 255 mph - 15 mph faster than the Ju-87B. However, in this mission, Taff's Ju-87D is carrying the "Jericho Trumpet" windmill driven siren, which causes a huge amount of extra drag on the airframe, and reduces the Stuka's speed by 12-15 mph.
Nice one. I've seen a lot of your videos, and I'm impressed with the realism you put in. Not being an 'expert' makes it all the more realistic for what it would have been like for the poor sods in those airplanes.
When the Hurricanes attacked it seemed to me they were using early RAF tactics. Attacking line astern like that. The fact that they lost two of their number demonstrates how ineffective those tactics were.
Thought this series was going to be a hurricane campaign? Pleasant surprise
The single Bf109 who decided protect and escort a dozen of Stukas all by himself:

The sound of the dive is terrifying. Jeeze.
Wasn't expecting the perspective shift! Hope this turns into a nice medley of aircraft from the channel battles!
Outside of a He111, the Stuka has always been a masochistic fondness of mine when it comes to flight sims. Thanks, man!

@@Cybernaut76 I think he is referring to playing flight sims, and how much tougher it is flying a Stuka compared to other aircraft.
@@lutherburgsvik6849 Could be. You cannot even raise a landing gear in Stuka so it must be cumbersome and slow to fly.

Unfortunately I don't reckon Il-2 has Defiants, probably not even Il-2 1946 did, even though it was a library of ww2 aircraft.
@@hunormagyar1843 Shame ! IL2 Cliffs of Dover had a AI defiant, pity not flyable.
super happy you are starting a Stuka series. great idea
Amazingly beautiful game.
It would be interesting to see the same mission flown in Cliffs of Dover and get your options of how they compare back to back!
The Hurricanes sounding like a swarm of angry wasps
Good show, pip pip.

The sirens are optional for the planes in the game, i think so are the reqr facing guns. @MrLBPug

Well played, Taff
New intro music...nice.👍
So the degree diagram on the right window, is that used to tell you the angle of your dive against the horizion?
Most likely.
Great series with the Stuka!
I LOVE Ju-87’s. The best!!!!!
Watched and Liked 👍
Top notch contents and presentation Taff!
Oh... cool, thanks Taff :)

Finally a new series
I thought this was gonna be a Hurricane campaign still enjoyed the video though.
Good mission thanks for the video great work.
👍👍👍
At least you did survive.
How is that bitter and disappointing? At least you landed home instead of dying or being captured.
So let's get this straight. You don't release the bombs until the duck quacks? 🤣🤣🤣🦆
No Doras in 1940 only Bertas👎
Not s big fan of german aircraft flight sims.
@MrLBPug Fr lol
