I think more than 50% or majority of the cases are of Psychiatry therefore it has the topmost scope though there is not much awareness not only of the lay men but the doctors as well. So far as awareness of the doctors is concerned how many us send cases of cancer, mastectomies, amputations, illeostomies/colostomies etc to Psychologist/Psychiatrist for their counselling and boosting their mood and morale? Remember, this all is for the scope point of view and Aptitude is no doubt the first requirement.

@@drkanwal5526 yes. You can also go for paediatrician as it has scope and demand. Endocrinology is post master's i think. In both family medicine and paed medicine you don't have to attend any emergencies and no night shifts. In paed emergency u can always refer to superspeciality hospitals. In family medicine you can act as physician, cardiologist and diabetalogist. Also you can do fellowship in diabetology which will definitely give you an edge considering the growing diabetic patients. Scope of oncology and geriatrics is also high. Ultimately it's your wish considering all the factors and conditions, consulting seniors make a wise decision. Best of luck . Thanks.
