Had the pleasure of having drinks with wendy over business, about 10 years ago in a NYC bistro - she chose the place. She was nice, interesting - and it was a good memory.
Had SUCH a crush on Wendy back then - somehow epitomises for me certain looks of the time, emotions of the time. Still occasionally listen to both albums and still really enjoy them. Unadulterated, unashamed pop/punk-pop/whatever. Despite many favourites on both albums, my joint top two have to be Velveteen (so moody!) and Landslide of Love (a perfect pop track - those strings!) Also really loved the Primitives. Great music never dies.

My first day at secondary school 'forget about being a pop star' - like Wendy said it wasn't on the curriculum. I am still playing guitar and enjoying it despite the stupid teacher's attitude and advice. Wendy was just a complete explosion when TVV hit our screens, what a fantastic image, not manufactured by someone with a check list, just her own vision. Fantastic. When music was still great.
