Apple’s expected to introduce a new generation of iPhones this fall, and there have been several feature leaks from reputable sources that we’ll cover right now.
Similar to last year, the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models aren’t expected to feature any major design changes. Instead, Apple is likely to make several incremental improvements.
Based on leaked dimensions, the 15 and 15 Plus will have the same designs as the 14 and 14 Plus. An aluminum frame with flat edges, and a glass front and back. This means iPhone 14 cases should fit the new 15 models.

The dark red for the iPhone 15 pro is amazing This is the first time Apple makes a product red on a pro model but I just upgraded my iPhone 11 to 14 pro so I don’t need a upgrade for awhile still rocking my 14 pro in space black I’ve had it about 2 months so no need to upgrade yet

i went from a iphone 6s to a iphone 14 pro max, i seriously doubt ill buy the 15,16,17 and maybe 18-19 (if they exist), ive had the iphone for ~3 months now, and its still at 100% battery capacity, still almost as powerful (i mean its only been 3 months) etc

The action button sounds really interesting. Reminds me of how you could program the bixby button on old galaxy phones to whatever you wanted with a third party app.

Older iPad models allowed you to customize whether the side switch was rotation lock or mute, and we might finally get to see that come to iPhone. But yet, if it is just a software update and not an overhaul to the button, why can't this action button come to all phones that have a silent switch and will support iOS 17?

Life hack for those not in the know: we already have something like the action button. It’s the back-taps feature that lets you set certain actions to double or triple tapping the back of the phone

I would like to see a fingerprint feature (whether it be on the power button or under the screen). Also some upgrades to the software where we can have some split screen capability.

I recently tried the Pixel 5 with its fingerprint scanner and it’s honestly the worst; Face ID all the way.
Undecided on Plus versus Pro Max. I like that Plus has the thinner camera bump, presumably better battery life, and the mute switch, but the rounded corners and titanium edge and 6x zoom are tempting
I'd buy 14 Pro Max instead of 15 Plus. You'll be getting additional Telescope camera, 120Hz screen, Always On, etc. for about the same price.

I can’t tell the difference between 120hz and 60, and AOD is kinda worthless to me when I have an Apple Watch SE 2022. Also I don’t really like how big the camera bump is on the pro models. I’m assuming the curved border probably roughly offsets the big camera bump as far as general comfort to use, so I think my final decision comes down to this:
- Plus has the volume/mute buttons I’m used to rather than a redesign, lower battery consumption, and costs less - about $5 a month less if I use it for 5 years, assuming the leaks are correct that it’ll be about $100 more than last year
- Pro Max is more durable, has higher specs, has thinner bezels, and has some nice bonus hardware features
Currently leaning towards Pro Max based on leaks, but most of the time I’ve been leaning towards Plus. Ultimately it’ll come down to when they’re actually released and I know precisely the difference between them, because nothing in this video is truly 100% confirmed. I’ve heard speculation that the Pro models will have more RAM than the baseline. I’ve heard they might have 256gb base storage and offset some of the cost of the “pro” difference. I’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds, but whatever happens it’s gonna be a big upgrade over my XR. I’m still more or less happy with my XR, but the main pain points I have with it are battery/RAM/camera.

@@Warp3326 I’ve weighed the pros and cons of switching to Samsung, and ultimately decided that for how I use my phone, I could really go either way on them - so it doesn’t make much sense to throw away all my App Store purchases, make my Apple Watch worthless, lose iCloud, and learn a new OS. It’s kinda tough to make the switch from one platform to another.
The pro max is looking incredible, yet I’ll be getting it in about 4-5 years for the price to drop lmao

@Damian Wójcikiewicz No, there genuinely is no space. Have you seen how thin the newer iphones are? Maybe like know a thing or two about making hardware. Apple doesn't like seperating features for no reason (eg: regular and pro is gonna be two lineups, with plus and max just being a size increase.) Its the exact reason why iphones get features like 2 years after android, apple just doesn't think its necessary or just dont want to do it to keep things simple
I feel like they should move the action button to below the volume buttons. A lot easier to press from a neutral position since it’ll be used a lot more
I like your idea, but the location changing would not be convenient. People are used to the old location.
@@itischeck yeah but people are also used to it being a switch and use for vibrate mode. Hense why they said they’re “replacing” it. They’re taking out a feature and adding a new one in its place. It won’t really matter in terms of muscle memory since you’d have to unlearn half of it anyway (slide gesture, command etc)

eSims are long overdue and I like that Apple is finally approaching this to make the phone more waterproof.

@@BukuiZhao I don't see any practical use for having a physical Sim compared to a eSim. Everything possible can be done electronically instead.
I really hope they bring the mini models back in the future because it is pretty comfortable in the hand.
They already decided to bring them back with 12 and 13 based on peoples whining and … people didn’t buy them. People don’t know tf they want, so I hope Apple will do their own decisions instead of listening to legions of sheeps.
As someone who is ready for an upgrade. This video has convinced me to wait until the fall.
After watching this, my favourite feature would be the action button as it is something new on the iPhone, as well as maybe the USB C charging as well.

I like my iPhone 14 Pro Max so much, I'm most likely skipping the 15 this year. Not that it wouldn't offer decent improvements, but I don't really need them or would make use of them, I believe.

As someone with a custom ringtone, I (obviously) like having my ringer on at medium volumes. It’s a good little conversation starter, for example. I hope this action button is, like the Watch, customizable back to the ringer settings.

I’m thinking probably the first time in over ten years I won’t upgrade. The past few years’ upgrades have truly been minimal and the hardware is already so good.
Well, we did not get solid state buttons nor was the volume button unified, we got 5X optical zoom not 6X, no red colour, prices in the US did not increase. You were right about everything else tho.

Honestly considering upgrading from the 14 Pro to the 15 Pro Max. Periscope lens, titanium frame, curved edges, USB-C, and that sweet dark red all look really enticing.

No mention of Canada 😮. The iPhone 15 Pro Max in Canada should hopefully mirror the USA model. It’s taken Apple a long time to seal up the iPhone to potential moisture access. I’m awaiting the premium price as well. The game of one up man ship between the big manufactures of phones is mind boggling. What will the other guys come up with. Stay tuned

Just hoping they bring the 120hz screen to the non-pro models personally. Sticking with my 12 Mini until that point, its the only thing I'd want to upgrade for, and I don't need the extra stuff that comes with a Pro

I'm using a regular iPhone 8 still, and really want to get all the "new" features apple has, like the face ID, island, and different layouts. Just wondering if I should just get the 14 pro max for size and battery, or wait on the 15 pro max for the same stuff and the usb-c, titanium, and red option. I just thought I wanted to keep the home button and smaller screen, but I've been jealous of my moms iPhone 11 and its camera and face ID. I just don't know If I'll be able to wait for the 15, lol.
Yeah Face ID is great, the larger screen sizes are not. The 13 mini seems to be the best compromise right now, the width is good but it’s just a little too tall. When they got rid of the home button I wish they’d just eliminated the space rather than extend the screen into it.

me too, i'm thinking of either saving up for a refurbished iPhone 14 pro once the iPhone 15 is released or the maybe the iPhone 15 instead. I really want to use the dynamic island and the better camera quality. For me, my iPhone's battery life has decreased by sm so i'd rather buy a phone which has a longer battery life.
Just wait for the 15. It’ll be here in September. Especially if you plan to lease it until it’s paid off.
The change to USB C is certainly welcome. I'll keep checking for 5G coverage in my town. It exists in a nearby city and I'm seeing some infrastructure changes so hopefully soon.

That's not a fair opinion to have on a high end flagship phone. The price they charge should be atleast respectful in par while selling iPhones which they aren't doing!
@@reuben5317 Why change the design every single generation? If the design works, and looks good, keep it for some time. Retooling manufacturing plants is super expensive. It's not economically viable from a company's stand point.

Based on your predictions, it appears that Apple is growing increasingly unreasonable with each iPhone release and some of us might need to switch back to Android when our current iPhones become too old. Removing the SIM Tray altogether is the worst and stupidest idea ever! Maybe some of us don't want to pay extra money to the mobile carrier for that eSIM and maybe some of us prefer prepaid plans instead of being tied up by a contract to that carrier.

Most of the update did materialize.. not sure with the color but based on other TH-camrs, that dark red didn't materialize. I am eyeing on that red for my upgrade.. and Product Red seems to be gone on all lineup. (Sorry, I haven't watched the announcement last night)
Apple will never ever put solid-state power or volume buttons to iPhone or iPad because this will make impossible to force restart frozen device or put it into Recovery Mode or DFU Mode.
I hope one day Apple will make new designed phones. No significant changes every year. What are people going to do with an island or new colors of phones?

I've never had an Iphone in my life, could have...but I always chose android and now that the 15 is next, I think I'm gonna finally switch. The S22 ultra I'm typing this on was the last straw for me.
Don't, the s23 has a way better camera, plus better battery life, and screen. apple uses samsung screens. also samsung isnt overpriced. Don't switch
@crazy towerz I've seen the S23 and noticed the improvements. Hopefully the 24 will continue to show improvements because that's not entirely off the table. But to be fair, price wise, there's not a huge gap between Apple and Samsung. Honestly, there about the same.

Because there's plenty of other phone companies with a great android experience. But the 15 seems pretty cool. When they first switched back to the classic boxy design, I was very close to switching my samsung for the 12. But I really didn't like the color choices and iOS. We're already close to seeing the 15 release, time flies! But oooo, that red is so nice. That would definitely be my choice if I upgrade. But I already got my s22+, and it's definitely got a few years left. Probably won't upgrade for a while, and when I do I'll likely keep my Samsung and the iPhone.
I’m really looking forward to be going back to pro max mode with the iPhone 15 pro max for the exclusive camera features and the bigger screen and battery. I miss the bigger promax I can’t wait 😊
I’ve got the iPhone 14 Pro in Space Black 512GB, and It’s a great phone but I really miss the larger screen size of the 6.7 inch pro max and the better battery life thats why Im upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro Max in Gold 512GB this year

First time I am excited for a new iPhone. I have the 12 Pro Max that’s started to slow down a bit for me so will most likely upgrade to the 15. Definitely most excited for the addition of USB-C (finally). Will only need lightning chargers for AirPods at this point.

I went to Full Sail from 1998 to 2000. It essentially ruined my life. No one would hire me, and when I did have occasional work I was literally laughed at for having gone to Full Sail, and treated like I didn’t know a thing and was an idiot for having gone there. I’m now 44, and have tried to correct this mistake, but I had been so confident in my decision to go there, having gone through not one but two programs, that I used up all my money for college with their very expensive costs. What’s worse, is that Full Sail claimed that going there, students could then audit classes for free in the future. But as their programs changed, when I went to do this I was told that they were no longer equivalent to what I had taken, and that I couldn’t audit anything. I’ve now been unemployed for over 5 years, I’m completely hopeless, and no one will help me. Don’t fall into the same trap that I did. Full Sail is a for profit school and doesn’t care about its students. The motto of the school when I went there was “We take your dreams seriously.” But from my class, that motto became “We take your dreams. Seriously!”

They could just do a software update for the action button idea….hit both up and down volume triggers a user specified action (launch app, flashlight, camera, ATV remote, pause/play music) but they don’t….

There’s always something wrong with the new iPhones, they’re always trying to be different but it’s the always the same old thing all over again. I miss the old iPhones they were better

Currently on 14pro, I think I won't upgrade. But action button is good, it reminds me the good old sony xperia phone have a dedicated camera button to capture.
What to expect TLDR: they’ll reuse the A16 for the 15, while the 15 pro will hopefully get an A17 (if they can give any improvements to the chip)
Same prices again. More colors. Better more power efficient screen, other minor improvements to everything. USB-C if they don’t limit that to the EU. (Better be USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds)

I hate the volume buttons as one button, i don’t know why. I switched from iPhone X to Pixel 7, then back again because i absolutely hated the volume button and the power button on the same side, and a few other factors. This is a big sad moment.
Think I will be upgrading from the aging 6S to the 15 or 15 Plus, but the price tag would be almost the same as the entry-level MacBook Air
