  • My Experience of Dermatology Practice in the Province (of the Philippines) Pros and Cons plus TIPS
Dermatology Practice and the practice of medicine in general is very competitive and everyday many new doctors are going to the province to start their career. Here is my personal experience of what it's like to practice as a new dermatologist in the province, what to expect and how to prepare yourself. I know others may have a different experience from mine. But I am simply sharing what I went through here as I started my dermatology practice in La Union.
Medicine is continuing to evolve, and in the Philippines many doctors including dermatologists graduate every year. By the time you watch my video more have added to our growing medical field of dermatologists. I hope my story may give you some insight on how to face your own practice in the future.

Doc, I'm from Ilocos Norte and I want to train in JRRMMC this upcoming year.
I am sure I want to practice back in my province after residency. But my concern now is, how to increase my chances of getting into residency? Need po ba talaga ng backer? Average student po ako noong med school and I don't know how to stand out in my derm residency application. Help po.
Anyw, video is helpful for me. Glad you are back, Dra! ❤🎉

@@kzkathrina01 hello! Thats not true, u dont need a backer. I didnt have one. As well as many of my friends who are now dermatologists. Just study the book cover to cover. Apply to as many dermatology residency programs as you can, u never know which one u will be accepted to. And pray. ☺️ Best of luck! Looking forward to seeing u in the conventions 💕

Hello i gave up my manila clinics during the pandemic. ☺️ for now all my clinics nasa La Union. Bt if u need a dermatologist in manila, check the philippine dermatological society (PDS) website para makahanap ka ng derma na malapit sa iyong lugar. ☺️ thank u for watching !
