The Fender Mustang LT25 is thee best beginner amp, that little LCD screen and its tuner helped me so much when I first started out a few months, I’m looking into upgrading to that GTX 50 soon
This is a fresh breeze we needed in this kind of demos/reviews. Jazz and Andrea did a very nice job and I'm sure that they will get better as soon as they get more experience. I enjoyed the talk and demos and look forward to watching more videos from them. I reckon it makes a big difference and will appeal to many young people learning guitar and the not so syoung as me as well 😉
girl with the black shirt has a really natural style, very relaxed and fluid. you can tell she has played for awhile. hats off to both of them. good demo
Nice presentation. Welcome! I have a GTX50 and, as a beginner, I like that it models amps and voices from the history of music. Right on my iPhone, there’re presets for the sound of Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Eagles, John Scofield, Pete Townshend, Derek Trucks, and many more. Plus you can model amps and speakers manufactured throughout the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. And pedals galore. All that without having to touch a dial. Or … know anything about amplifiers. I’m proof of that. But over a year, I’ve learned so much. One last thing, it has an acoustic guitar amp model that is clean and perfect for that type of guitar. Although … I like to be bold with my Taylor.
I've been playing for more than 50 years and I've been in many bands and owned a lot of different amps, and the LT25 is one of the best sounding amps that I've ever owned for low volume playing at home. As with all my favorite amps, I prefer using it with one of the clean amp models with one of my favorite OD pedals in front of it, intead of using the dirt on the amp
I'm sure there are some people out there who are saying that these two ladies could do better. Well, I invite you take a look at Chris's videos from five years ago and Cooper's videos from last year or so. Just as they developed and got more comfortable with the "terror of the record button," so will these two. Meanwhile, I thought this was an outstanding debut performance by Jazz and Andrea. More please!
I'm a beginner, I use to play 15years ago, then life just happens and you put that dream in the closet, I recently just got into guitars again when I asked my sister what my niece wanted for her birthday. I started buying her all the guitar stuff and now it lit my fire for guitars again! I might have to get two one for me and one for my niece. We're not rich so I got her stuff from the pawn shop, but if I get some extra money then yea I will get two.
Y’all need to bring these girls out for more videos. It’s a nice refreshing change to see new personalities and more life in the video and not the same monotone two guys all the damn time lol. Bring the girls back half time 😂 people will watch
Very refreshing...we need more women talking about guitars! And I'm a huge Princeton fan myself, and many players can't afford a Princeton so these are decent alternatives. Great video!
Am trying to decide between the LT 25 and the 50. Is there a big enough difference in sound/quality/features to justify the extra 150 for the 50? Can the 25 be heard if trying to play live with drums/bass? Thanks!
What I’m sold on is that Sg vintage cherry with P90s, absolutely gorgeous grain 🖤 I’ve been wanting to hear a clean demo of it, and this totally helped. Thank you 🙏
Great video, very humble and liked the vibes. I just sold my lt25 and got a gtx100. Biggest difference is sheer volume, I couldn't hear my lt25 over my buddies drum kit so the gtx has all the power I need, having a 12" speaker and an open back cabinet helps the sound fill the room. The nice thing is that the gtx still plays fairly well at low volumes so you get the best of both worlds. Good for beginner/intermediate guitar players like me.
i have the mustang lt25, it's a nice upgrade from the Fender Frontman 10G which is there budget cheap amp. this one can be had for $150 and under depending on where you look. The MGX is nice for an amp, but i wouldn't exactly look at that one as a budget amp. I've seen prices average between $199 and $299, you can go all up to $399 if you go with the 100 watt version. most people wouldn't need something like that, unless your gigging.
Dang‼️ 1st guitarist : keep on jam’n please … 2nd guitarist: That was some sweet chops!!! Very old 60/70s classics era fuzz tones that’s not even around with bands anymore , you should keep on jamming that sound.
Nice job ladies. Bought the LT25 and really like it. Bought after looking at Spark, Boss, etc similar amps. Not meant to blow the neighbors door off its hinges, but more than enough for a standard size room. You do need a data transmission capable USB micro male to whatever (USB/Lightning) port is on your computer/phone. You can use the Fender Tone to see your pedals etc. on screen. Also you need the chart in the manual to match up their presets with the actual amp; i.e. the "60s Rock" is modeling the Vox AC30, etc. Good value for the price I think. The LT50 I think has even more presets and is wireless BT capable if that moves the needle for you.
Growing up in San Antonio it makes me so happy to discover this channel - keep up the good work. I was exploring this comparison (LT40 vs GTX 50) and the demo really helped. While the GTX has more features i think the LT40 is a better size and sound imo.
I love my Fender GTX 50 amp. As an experienced home musician this amp is perfect for any occasion. If you're playing live with a band being mic it'll sound better through the pa system.
On their comments about the Line 6 Spider amps - yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I started with those amps too, which all the shops used to rave about, but they were awful.
Nice review, thanks guys. I just started to play and I have the LT25 and love it as a practice amp. What would be awesome would be if Fender would add some support for Fender Play. I have an iMac driving the LT which gives access to a lot of features, I would love to be able to download the tone I am playing with while learning.
Thank you for other people, other perspectives, from the start. Same. As a beginner, I'm thinking a gumbo of effects. But, well there it is. On the right, she nails it. Basically, does the amp sound good, raw, without mods. And on the left--sorry I don't recall names, including the usual guys--craftspersonship matters. Is it well built. Is it quality.
Y’all read my mind! I was just looking at these two amps recently. Both have so many great features. Thank you Andrea and Jasmine for this lovely review. Nice to see more of the Alamo team especially with more women representation. I sometimes feel discouraged as a girl guitarist when I don’t see myself in the people I watch, but this video made me feel the exact opposite! :)
i bought an LT50 blindly and i was so so surprised, i needed a replacement for my old roland cube 60 which broke, when using an amp i like one setting i can maniplate with my picking volume and tone from the guitar, a classic overdiven sound that can rock hard but clean up when you turn the volume on the guitar down, and the LT50 has it, i was so surprised, 70s rock setting compressor reverb and you are there, my strat has never sounded so good, they say these are amps for beginners but i would have no problem gigging this, i can always mic it up
Why am I shocked that women are reviewing the amps? In 2022? Great review. Specifically helpful that you two mentioned the Line 6 in contrast. Also great that you had a representative from Clean Tone Town, where I also reside.
Fantastic Ladies Fantastic 👏 see you again soon I'm sure 🤓👍 love the gtx, though I want the 100 glad to see some ladies in our world for a fresh change
How about simply saying that these amps sound pretty good for the money. That's honest. And amp tone is a personal taste and the tones from these amps can be tasty to someone who likes that flavor. But to act like Line 6 doesn't make some great products is stupid. And not only are they one of pioneers of modeling when Fender was still pushing the same lousy sounding solid state amps for the same price, but have come a long ways since they began making Spiders. And these amps don't sound that good regardless. Someone would be better off with a Catalyst imo.
I prefer Chris and Cooper, but Chris could learn something from Andrea about positioning. She managed to avoid the guitar-neck-sticking-out-of-the-head-look. Hopefully these ladies will grow into it (I found they mumbled a bit), but it's early days.
didn't they make the damn thing compatible for your Android phone? At least with Bluetooth. Hell this is 2022... Got to go buy a bunch of other crap just so you can record your guitar... So you mean LEKATO can make a portable amp and plug your phone into it and record and Sounds great! And Fender has been in the business for 20,000 years and they can't even make a damn amp to be able to record to your freaking phone that sounds halfway decent....🐂
The Mustang line is not a bad product and honestly if you're a beginner it gives you plenty to practice but personally I sent mine back after a few days I was refunded and I ended up buying a Spark mini and Bias FX2 from the same brand The sound of the speaker is not the best but it is so much more complete than the mustang. For someone who is just starting out I would recommend a spark mini, it's more than enough unless you play live or you are a tone snob and can’t live without your tube amp

Both are great practice amps. The LT50 is a bit more directly competitive with the GTX for performance-oriented features, like the footswitch.
Love my LT25!! Incredibly user friendly, and very versatile for the price.
Great demo thank you. That Telecaster is incredible!
