The 2005 car had Pirelli tyres, a paddle shift rather than sequential from the previous year and a few other improvements. There was also a possibility that Galli was going to be No.1 driver in 2006 while Cowan would step down from the team but they pulled out.
Idk what they were thinking signing Delecour and Alistair for 2002, no offense to them but they could have got Auriol who was a great tester and was behind the Corolla WRC. Heck, even Paasonen, the third driver, outpreformed them when his car was actually running. Also, basing the WRC 04/05 Lancer appearance on a regular pedestrian Lancer rather than an EVO was a hugeeee L.
The debut of the WRC spec Mitsubishi Lancer Evo was the fastest fall from grace from a manufacturer I know about. Funnily enough, Tommi Mäkinen said that he could have won the title with the Group A car. And I think it could have happened. The WRC car simply felt rushed and it definitely needed alot more development time. Then it would have been a tiny bit better. Oh well, atleast the car looks beautiful with the Marlboro livery (IMO)

Felt rushed but ralliart had been developing it since 1999 😂
@@dimitrisqwerty They spent most of the time just sleeping or doing nothing. Otherwise, I can't explain that mess.
