Stunning! I really want to try gouache, I've been using oils and acrylics. But acrylics are too "shiny" for me, and shows in my timelapse videos which is annoying.

What exactly are those Jane Davenport mermaid markers? Michael's says it's prefilled with watercolor o.0 So is it just liquid watercolor in, like, a waterbrush? Can you refill it with your own watercolor like a waterbrush? I would love to see a video on those :D
The Mermaid Markers are brush pens with a liquid watercolor paint in them - the watercolor in the Mermaid Markers is dye based, so they're not lightfast like traditional watercolors. But they do work similar to most watercolor brush pens. They are refillable, and you can put liquid watercolor in them or just plain water to use them as a water brush when they're empty, which is really awesome. I've refilled the colors I've used up with liquid watercolor from Blick. I quite like them, they're really fun to use and play around with. :)
How do you transfer your sketch to your paper that you will complete it on, or do you draw it again on the good paper? Or do you do like a charcoal transfer?
I'm one of those people, too. It helped to get an inexpensive sketchbook so I didn't worry so much about "messing it up". Call me OCD. I have a thing for paper.

Benjamin Mailhot Personally I found watercolour to actually be a pretty easy medium to get into compared to others. Also I feel like you can find some cheaper watercolours that are still good quality. I would search around for reviews on TH-cam.
