    You did a great job of removing and installing the pump. Several things missing here though. 1. Removing Shroud instructions. 2. Removing the water pump gaskets, demonstration. ( I used a sharp putty knife, then a small round buffing pad.) Prepping the gasket surface is the hardest thing about the install. 3. Cleaning the bolts, shank and threads. 4. Using RTV is not the norm for the threads of the bolts. If anything, I put a light coat of grease on the shank and a thin coat of anti seize on the threads. The RTV gets into the thread holes and clogs them up. The anti seize is to keep dissimilar metal from oxidizing. The bolts are aluminum alloy and the block is steel. 5. I always use a torque wrench, always. Guessing at the torque isn't a good idea. To much torque can ruin the threads of the bolts and on the block holes. I use a torque wrench for everything. 6. While every thing is out, I check the lower belt for cracks and rot. 7. One last item: Showing how to take the clutch fan off is important. Also it's recommended to change out the clutch fan with a new one when you have to change the water pump. Reason: The fan clutch can cause the water pump to go bad as well as the water pump to cause the clutch fan to go bad. This is a highly recommended suggestion. Thanks for the tutorial. Don't get me wrong, you did a swell job. I enjoyed the video.

    • @KnuckleHeadGarage27
      @KnuckleHeadGarage27  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah this vehicle didn't have a clutch fan or shroud . It was set up with electric fans factory setup so that's why that part was never showed .

    • @larrypierce2777
      @larrypierce2777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@KnuckleHeadGarage27 I see, never knew that, sorry about that. Also, RTV is fine on the threads. On the Gasket surface on the Engine, I just wanted everyone to know that it sometimes difficult to scrape those gaskets off. I know mine was and it was cold outside, too. Just disregard everything I wrote. You did a fine job. You're very kind, you could've told me to buzz off but you were very considerate. Thank you.
