'GOLDEN YEARS TRAVELING' Hello, Jerry and Joan. Glad to hear that you've gotten your rigs ready to travel once again. Joan, glad to hear that you are recovering from your eye issue. It sounds like whatever procedure the Doctors and thechs performed was a success. Thank God for watching over you and healing you. Wishing you both safe travels and a fun time. Stay Warm. Steve and Diana
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear of Joan's medical issue. Blessings to her and you. I am thankful she is well on the mend and you can resume your RVing!
Glad Miss Joan’s ok now. We just got back from a week at Cloudland Canyon. Beautiful weather and cool temps. Leaves were starting to change. Heading to Gorges state park in NC in a couple weeks.
Didn’t know about Joan’s injury. Sorry ! So that explains why you are not doing your South Georgia trip. As full timers we have to do most of that stuff more regularly. Two weeks ago we had the MORryde independent suspension alignment and maintenance done in Junction City Ks. Just had our schwintek slides worked out. One just needed some adjustment and lubricant and the other the rod on one side had dropped down. Working our way back to Georgia for Doctor appointment and holidays. Have a great time leaf peeping.
Hi Tony. We had a double whammy on the South Georgia trip. Both the eye injury and even if that didn’t happen, we had the campground scheduled when the hurricane ran across the Florida Big Bend then through South Georgia. Guess it just wasn’t in the cards this year, but we’re going to give it a shot again next year.
Coming to you this morning from Leisure acres. Other than the dip getting down to our site very nice place. Your correct about the tire pressures had to stop before leaving to add air to the RV tires because they dropped 9 lbs since the afternoon before. Hope y’all have a great trip.
The weight of your rig might surprise you. It has for me many times within previous rigs. The only way to know for sure is to go to a CAT scale and get a accurate number. Weight adds up very quickly especially since you are so close to your hitch max weight limitation I always choose a hitch that is 5000 pounds more than what I would ever use for that particular camper. Sounds like you may be very close to your campers gross vehicle weight rating as well. I guess it’s the retired airline pilot in me that pays very close attention to limitations and numbers. Happy trails!
Glad to hear she is well. Since you guys are in the south, what do you do about winterizing? I hate to do mine when the winters are so mild here in GA. Suggestions?
If we have a period below 30 and we’re not traveling, I winterize. Sometimes it may be for a week or two, but not worth risking damaging pipes and valves.
Thank you.
I'm so sorry to hear about Joan's ordeal, but praise God she's much better & can get her life back to normal! Safe travels!
Thanks so much.

Thanks George. Check the picnic table under the dog leash.
That little hill can be rough. Seen a few people with long rigs bottom out on it. Love that campground
Have a good safe trip and thank for all your tips and time
