I anticipated for this amp to do very well; however, I've had several issues despite setting gains properly and proper wiring. 1. It cuts out at higher volumes with heavy bass 2. Puts out a constant noise to speaker wire inputs (even with RCAs disconnected) I checked my wiring several times and finally used an oscilloscope to find a 2-4k hz tone constantly running on my tweeters. The noise is there with gain set to 0. Given that I have to pay to ship back to D4S and no returns I'm giving up. It may seem like a good deal for power x money but you get what you pay for. I assume not all of these have this issue but in my case it did.
Not sure why there's any downside to the pigtail "Y" inputs. looks like they provide some quality connectors. Lot easier to accommodate the pigtails as opposed to another 2.5" in width. Nice little setup in some dashes, no problem under most any seat.
I appreciate that JP names his multi-channel amps by rated output at 4 ohm, makes it so much easier to figure out what the amp is at a glance. I just wish there were more offerings within the series, 50w and 100w might cut it for basic speakers but once you get into higher power stuff this just doesn't cut it; there should at least be a variant for 150w and 200w within the MM multi-channel series, especially when size and price of scaling are considered.
Love watching these dynos and reviews of amps, really appreciate all the work you put in and going it to us real and to the point. Keep up the good work!

I’m new to watching your channel. I like how you do reviews on reasonable priced equipment. What component speakers do you recommend. I’m looking for good clarity not just bass. Thanks
These class D mini amps should come with built-in DSP like other companies are putting out. A 4-channel amp with this kind of crossover features should have class A sound quality. I'm not really a fan of the D4S stuff because of how much power they need and how short their lifespan is. But if they added DSP and even charged $200 for these mini amps, I could see these being a great buy for someone just looking to upgrade their daily without having to upgrade their electrical system. They could give Kicker, AudioControl and JL a run for their money in the SQ market if they built these right. Hell, I would even consider buying them if they lasted more than a couple years.
will this mm504 be enough powa for the jfx65 speakers? i am going to get those 6.5 speakers with the tweeters inside. but dont know if i bridge this amp that 170 something will be enough to run these 200w rms speakers.
i rather like their amps. its s shame there is no 2/4 channel switch. ive heard warranty is a struggle with them and ive had trouble ordering as well. their pricing setup isnt terrible for retail. far better than knukonceptz but even still, there is not much meat on the bone for dealers. if they could add some quality of life features to the amps and if they could fix their web ordering system - i would consider them more strongly against other options in the market.
How do you get in touch with Mr Williston, to ask?s or just ask here? My question is when you look up competition speakers they all have this big thick rubber or foam surround, but yet Memphis M7 12 inch subwoofers and their mojo series I'll have a double stitched twin edge surround, that they say allows more ext. More air flow, there's speaker prices are more per speaker than the average, the sound quality sounds excellent their speakers are made superbly with the vents to cooling the frames, etc none like I've seen in any previous speaker but yet I never see any of them in competitions why is this? also I never have seen a amp test comparison or a review on them except from the manufacturer so I wish that Mr Williston would do a review and Comparison on the m7's and the Mojo's, against other speakers to see which ones are truly the king and Why.... Please n TY ..

I'm mainly waiting to have the fund's to pick up some 13.2s and 72s as well. His 4s, 6s and 8s look solid as well. However, Wolfram has their amps really cheap rn ever since they parted ways with Collin and he started up surge. If you notice, surge is still at d4s, but Wolfram is solo now, mostly through FB. Kev and skar are out as well. It appears Kev and JP have had a beef for a few years. Derek, don't you take side's and get in the middle of it, LoL
So i put the mm1004 in my daughter scion tc running 4 coaxials in 2 channels and bridging the other 2 into a polk 10" sub at 4 ohms. It has severe overheating problems when pushed hard. So much so that i installed a fan to increase air circulation which seems to have solved the issue. The amo its self is very surprising for it size putting down respectable power and impressive sq.
I have 4 D4S amplifiers and have pushed them into light clipping for hours on end. They have never gotten over 110°F. If you have proper connections and enough alt. and battery, you shouldn't really have a problem with overheating. I still have a factory alt, but I have 120AH of Yinlong Lithium. I can't find anyone who has made a high output alt for Mercedes yet.
@@sethgt1234 i own several other d4s amps and speakers. No issues. I assure you the setup i am referring to has all adequate connections and wiring. Honestly its not a deal breaker for me, i just think they need to install a fan in the 4 channels as they do with the monoblocks
I have always had excellent experiences with their customer service. They have literally gotten back to me within an hour any time I have had a question or problem. I don't know if people are doing it wrong or what, but email is how I have contacted them, and it has always been an amazing experience.
50-60 watts RMS is still 4x what a headunit will put out and more than enough for a daily deiver with mid level aftermarket speakers. Nost are 50-80 watts anyways.
I think D4S is going to be my next amp. Only running 2400 watts on my sub. I think I will get an 8k or 5k idk yet I have plenty of electrical to handle it
I have 2 JP13.2AB, a JP10.4, and a JP63. You can't really go wrong with the D4S amplifiers. I have heard people say that they get hot, but I have never had any of them get over 110°F. I have 120AH of Yinlong and very good connections to everything.
No one ever puts out videos on these amps or amps like them that show THD or Dampening. The true factors that give good SQ . Watts are important but mainly for the standpoint that if it performs with the what the company states. But it’s pretty straightforward who produces decent power at the middle tier level. The amp is solid if it produces 95 watts rms even if states 100 rms. I will take an amp with 90 watts rms rating with S/N ratio 110 with negative .01%THD with a high damping factor OVER and amp with poor numbers that produce 110watts even though it says 100 rms. Power does not mean quality. UNLESS you run and amp that has double the power you need and only run it halfway for clean output but even then you still take a chance. Rockfords high end line and JL along with Alpine and many other stupid expensive amps are expensive for a reason

That efficiency is crazy for an amp that small
What’s the encoded word??
I’m new to watching your channel. I like how you do reviews on reasonable priced equipment. What component speakers do you recommend. I’m looking for good clarity not just bass. Thanks
I just happen to be in the market for a 4 channel amp.
i just got my mini maxx 1004. havent used it because my car decided it didnt to drive (rip ball joint) but i hope itll push my two 6.5s good enough
Yes Now I Can Buy Thank You Its So Tiny But Packs in So Much Features
Enjoy the videos man. Keep em coming
D4s specs say fuse it at 25A but video shows higher that 30A so whats the real fuse ratting
i rather like their amps. its s shame there is no 2/4 channel switch. ive heard warranty is a struggle with them and ive had trouble ordering as well. their pricing setup isnt terrible for retail. far better than knukonceptz but even still, there is not much meat on the bone for dealers. if they could add some quality of life features to the amps and if they could fix their web ordering system - i would consider them more strongly against other options in the market.
Can we see some tests of the new Marts Digital MXS 4ch series amps? Preferably the 800x4 and 400x4. the motorcycle audio community would love you for this
I might just get one for the hell of it for that price and footprint.
bottom line: it does what its supposed to do. D4S so far has been a solid product for me.
Not bad results for this tiny bad boy👍🆙️
Return of the molex plug to the channel .
Can you try dd audio ss4.500 . That thing fits in your hand
Have you heard anything about the WarZone Elite 3k watt RMS amp on Amazon and eBay thought I might ask you before I went and did something I regretted, lol ...
The amo its self is very surprising for it size putting down respectable power and impressive sq.
thats because nobody builds amps with real heatsinks anymore
needs bigger fins.
Do you still have the d4s jp23 v1.5 and if so what color is it and would you be willing to sell it
This Amp would do well in my vert with only 2 speakers in the doors. Lol have subs in trunk already.
Now if I were all about efficiency and all and riding a scooter, this would be the amp to have. Light, uses minimal power and puts plenty out 👍🤞
😂 love the Samuel l Jackson with the dyno on the monitor
she's a beaut clarke!
Amazing what’s available nowadays for budget builds
Can u review a infinity reference 10001a please
Are these full or half bridge, another channel mentions they are full bridge but look and act like half bridge to me?
I just wished D4S had better CS, if you look at all the complaints about D4S its mostly about that.
I have always had excellent experiences with their customer service. They have literally gotten back to me within an hour any time I have had a question or problem. I don't know if people are doing it wrong or what, but email is how I have contacted them, and it has always been an amazing experience.
Love the second track on sound quality
50-60 watts RMS is still 4x what a headunit will put out and more than enough for a daily deiver with mid level aftermarket speakers. Nost are 50-80 watts anyways.
I think D4S is going to be my next amp. Only running 2400 watts on my sub. I think I will get an 8k or 5k idk yet
I have plenty of electrical to handle it
Down4sound JP83 is a freakin beast.
I have 2 JP13.2AB, a JP10.4, and a JP63. You can't really go wrong with the D4S amplifiers. I have heard people say that they get hot, but I have never had any of them get over 110°F. I have 120AH of Yinlong and very good connections to everything.
Quality looks amazing
Why TF doesn’t have 4ga power inputs??
I love D4Sound amps more bang for the Bump
Jp234 can u Bridge in 2ohms
Still waiting for digital display/control amplifier since the 90's.
Nice little amp, but I still think the kenwood kac m3004 is still the better mini amp. Had mine for 4 years now without any problems
Coming thru my S24+, mini vandals, I could hear the strings of the guitar👍🏼
Nice little amps.
😎👍👍
Soundqubed f1-5000... Need a review
Thanks for the suggestion 👌
