This was a FANTASTIC interview and the questions, in my opinion were well thought out. I've seen numerous interviews and hear the same things asked and the same answers. While there were some familiar themes, I feel like I've seen another side of Ellroy and am grateful for this look, which was more personal than usual. Also, the setting and sound were far superior to 98 prevent of what else is available on TH-cam. As a James Ellroy admirer, I'll definitely be re-watching this again at some point. Thank you!

Thanks for interviewing James. He's one of the only fiction writers I still read at my advanced age. A great interviewer is such an added plus. Thanks
He's a wonderful writer. Cheers from Norway.
That was a very good interview. I've seen quite a few Ellroy interviews and many of them are kinda the same. This was well thought out. Good on ya.
Ellroy is the best! Thanks for the interview!
Some wonderful entertainment for a Sunday afternoon.
Much as I love Scorcese films, it is refreshing to hear somebody with earned authority go against the grain
the master. what a brilliant interview.
Love Ellroy and Scorsese, but Ellroy's criticisms of the writing in Scorsese films make sense.
Splendid interview between two grown-up men! None of the overly emotional boohooing that I see amongst this modern generation.
why don't you cry some more.
Ok tough guy. The irony of applying a "back in my day" worldview to a video of an author who goes against that.
the Irishman can't comprehend Ellroy.
Holding that “JOE” sign looks ridiculous; your name already is on corner of the screen.
