This ties into the entire reason why Batman has a Robin to begin with it’s not that he needs help, it’s because he needs someone to keep him from fully turning into Batman, form letting the mask swallow his identity, and turning him into a complete savage
lol What? That's NOT the "entire reason" why Batman has a robin, he has Robin by his side in order for him to help him get justice for his parents who were killed by Tony Zucco and be able to have him showcase that he can save others AS a hero by his side AS Batman. What you said is an interesting take on it but it's not the only OR the default reason.
It makes it even more sad when you realize Batman didn’t deserve any of this. A simple man in a suit wishes to protect the world, and he can barely get the support he needs.
It was partly his own fault. He left the Joker alive despite the latter's crimes, so it was but natural that in the end it would come back to bite him.
Damn . It hit right in the feels tbh. He just wanted to do the right thing and in return he had to put up with a lot of bulls**t from people some of them being his own people .
@@ruturajshiralkar5566 Not his fault. Blame the corrupt Gotham court system. Also, from canon, we see that literally every time Batman kills Joker, something really bad and really fucked up happens.
My mom did this to my dad when one of his good friends committed suic*de. She was there to comfort him. We should all be so lucky to find a woman like that.
So this is the diference between batman and superman, the confort that we need in our most dificult moments. This are the moments that people like Catwoman and wonderwoman can make a huge diferences
This. We love this. Batman has to be allowed to feel. He's so often written as some goofy power fantasy who only ever grunts to show emotion. But his best moments come from when he has a genuine expression of joy, sadness or love. Playing basketball with Dick in Young Justice, reading his father's letter from Flashpoint, and this scene are some of my favorite Batman moments and not a single punch is thrown.
LOL What? I agree that I love the scene ALOT but Batman is not EVER "ofTeN wRitTEN aS sOMe gOoFy PowER FaNTasTY" AT ALL as Batman is NEVER "goOfY" AT ALL or EVER in his super serious dark portrayal as it's NEVER a "pOwEr fANTasY" AT ALL, it's his the DEFAULT of his character because that's trauma taking over his VERY being as he's never been a proper person since he was 8 years old. Batman doesn't ever smile because he's HEAVILY traumatized and that's the tragedy of his character, it's NOT at all "power fantasy" AT ALL nor is ANY of that "goOfy" AT ALL in the slightest and it's an example of not understanding who Batman/Bruce Wayne is. Everything Bruce does AS Batman is his trauma being manifested and him doing everything he can FOR the mission and for others benefit so they can have the happiness that he can't. Batman is putting himself to impossible standards for the sake of others that he can't possibly meet but he's going to do it anyway because he KNOWS that's the right thing to do. Batman is portrayed as this cold, calculating super detective whose always pragmatic and never smiling genuinely for himself while being scary as all hell in most media AS WELL as being kind and compassionate towards people when they need it as Batman tries to save everyone as much as he can. Batman intentionally dresses up like Bat to scare criminals because he's supposed to be a hero that LOOKS like a villain. But he's not a villain, he's a hero at his core whose VERY kind and compassionate person whose trying to save his city and save his villains from evil to try to redeem them as best as he can. That's how Batman ALWAYS is. Batman is SUPER disciplined so his worst impulses doesn't let loose and he can maintain control so he can help and inspire others because he knows deep down that one small step in the wrong direction can lead him astray, that's why he's also so composed and serious due to his trauma AND his training but some things get too much where he can't bury and hide underneath like his own adopted son dying that's too much for him to handle, which this scene displays PERFECTLY so. These rare instances where Batman DOES show emotion and it's so effective and impactful like this scene, and those 2 other scenes you named, because it contrasts when he's so grimdark all the time because that's what he IS inherently. It's not a "PoWer faNTasTy" and the furthest thing from being "gOoFy", it's what his trauma has done to him but he knows to help does to NOT be like him whose so obsessed with trying to save others from the same pain and trauma that he feels ALL the time. That's what so inspiring and also tragic about Batman's character.
while the movie had a lot of immense issues, i thought this scene really did justice to that scene in the comic, especially the quiet sounds bruce makes while he was crying
There were a lot of really good scenes, but the plot was all over the place with way too much pointless shit going on. Superman was a strong enough antagonist without Ras Al Ghul manipulating him, Deadwing didn't serve anything to the plot despite being built up to be a deciding factor, and while it was cool to see Amazo, he was poorly used. Superman declining into a tyrant, Wonder Woman enabling him, Batman starting a resistance and the comedy with Green Arrow and Harley being the main focus would've made it worlds better. Hell, maybe work in Deadwing actually being the one to talk Superman down before shit really went too far would've been a good addition. The writers painted themselves in a corner in the 3rd act and it showed.
Yes this should’ve been a series and I hope it is one day (Mortal Kombat just got one green lit), but for how rushed/bad it was, I was happy they were still able to leverage some of the comic’s thoughtful writing (like the Chess scene) and character work to showcase what makes the source material special. It had a poor approach in adapting so much to a tiny run time, but they did do justice to its integrity I felt, they cared for it at least.
@@solblackguy they went too far with good story, not every writer has a good story to tell and that’s okay, let’s have faith they’ll pick up from their mistakes
Selina Kyle aka the Catwoman you've always been there for him. Superman has Lois Lane, the Green Lantern has Carol Ferris, The Flash has Iris West, and you have Catwoman
This scene is really powerful to me. He doesn’t want to show that emotion, that side of every human. The side that just wants to cry and crumple, and lay on the ground in the fetal position while ugly crying. But at some point, we must all give in. That feeling to me, feels like a dam breaking and all the water rushes in and creates unrepairable damage. The damage being that someone saw you break down. The thought of someone seeing you break down will haunt you forever, it’s almost embarrassing. But we must all move on. Edit: but the “damage” also grounds you and it’s something special. It’s something you would only show to someone you truly care about.
A strong representation of what a man feels like on many days...and all it takes for him to feel okay...a gentle and true touch..just a little compassion, that's all....
I wish that I had people in my life that cared about me this way. So many people are fortunate to have others that care for them and they take it for granted.
I agree, this to me is a culmination of all the pain and suffering that he had to endure, but this tragedy was one too many for him given that he took Grayson under his wing and looked after him from when he was young. And for someone special to console and comfort in him time of sadness is what was long overdue as well.
Batman himself WANTS people to see the bat first and the man second as Batman see HIMSELF as just the bat 24/7. But Selina is there for him to showcase how the man is all that she needs from him and to remind him it's ok to be human and feel.
TT^TT You could never blame Batman for the shit he has to put up with ever since he lost his parents... so watching him lose it it so heart warming so he can just finally be true to himself and not hide
I usually have troubles crying and it's hard for me to let my pent up sadness out so I come back to this video every once in a while whenever I want to cry. It's just a relief y'know?
As a child, he knew what was like to lose his parents. Now, as an adult, he finally knows what it's like to lose a child. Though Nightwing was not his child by blood but a child nonetheless that he had raised.
“Please! I need it to be different now. I know I made a promise, but I didn't see this coming. I didn't count on being happy.” - Batman Mask of the Phantasm.
This is a beautiful scene which show's Bruce's exact vulnerability which he hides and Selina comforts him with words that are beyond comforting, she looks into Bruce See's right through him, it like they were mean't for each other I would imagine it would have been different if Bruce was crying alone, this just shows how much she cares for him as much as he cares for her to the point where they are vulnerable, she comforts him, and says the most beautiful words It is poetic, that's love right there
Honestly, Catwoman is the best thing that ever happened to Batman/Bruce. I genuine felt sorry for Bruce seeing him collapse and shed tears. I also argue that when he did cry, he would almost not be able to handle crying, given that he always suppresses it, and often, with his anger as we see here.
Bruh this scene hits so f***ing hard. It showed how much Dick Grayson actually meant to Bruce and what really hits is we wouldn't see this with anyone else minus for Selina. I think in a those had true God honest love because Bruce let his guard down when Selina came to him, not anyone else, just her. Batman needed to be strong, but the second Selina confirmed in his head that is OK and you don't have to be batman all the time, he dropped his guard and he was allowed to grieve properly
Bruce: Why is my face leaking water? Gordon: Those are tears, man. You know, because you're feeling a lot of emotions. Sometimes all at once. Batman: There's more than one emotion? I just feel dark and brooding. Gordon:....we need to get you professional help.
This scene shows how much Selina truly loves Bruce. It’s not his money or his good looks like other women who want Bruce. It’s his autistic personality that Selina genuinely loves about him and finds attractive. It’s why she always teases him for how he acts cause it’s what she loves about him.
I kinda have this feeling that not only is he mad at Damian, but he's also mad at himself for thinking he could help him. If that were the case, he'd blame himself for Dick's death. Which would make it even more sad

You are immensely correct my friend.
Catwoman helped calm Batman in his moment of weakness
Wonder Woman exploited Superman in his moment of weakness
@@kraftik5300 In a way yeah but not entirely. She wasn't ok with superman killing all of those people in that joker party.
"Not a single punch is thrown"
Wooden plank: am I a joke to you?
@@obitwokenobi9808 I should have said at another character lol
Seeing batman cry is like watching your dad cry 😢
while the movie had a lot of immense issues, i thought this scene really did justice to that scene in the comic, especially the quiet sounds bruce makes while he was crying
Don't you mean INjustice 😅
Mr. Mustache damn straight
Selina Kyle aka the Catwoman you've always been there for him. Superman has Lois Lane, the Green Lantern has Carol Ferris, The Flash has Iris West, and you have Catwoman
this scene hit me harder than the comic version!!!
Aww Selina being awesome.
It's cathartic to watch someone break down and cry the way you want to.
LOL You make it sound like you enjoy watching someone in pain and cry. LOL That's NOT what the scene is trying to do or say.
I just love the way they portrayed Selina it was probably the best version of her I’ve ever seen
Everyone needs someone like her in their lives. Be thankful for your loved ones
This is one of my favorite moments with Bruce and Selina in all media of Batman
Every man deserves to have a woman to comfort him in his time of love, lose and pain.
Deadass

Well my boys these women are myth
@@uknowguy3531 Only to you.
I think anybody deserves to see that side of somebody.
I want a girl who’ll hold me and never leave my side like cat woman does right here.

We all need a girl like this in our life. The one who loves us because of us not because of money.

A strong representation of what a man feels like on many days...and all it takes for him to feel okay...a gentle and true touch..just a little compassion, that's all....
Selina is the woman every emotional man needs❤
Flash death: that was dumb. This death: cries.
"Batman cries for the first time"

@Sebastián Enamorado You deserve this

One of Bat- No... one of Bruce Wayne's most human moments, and maybe the closest moment he and Selena have ever shared
I wish that I had people in my life that cared about me this way. So many people are fortunate to have others that care for them and they take it for granted.
Seeing Batman crying like this? Let's be real. With everything he's been through in his life, this was long overdue.
I agree, this to me is a culmination of all the pain and suffering that he had to endure, but this tragedy was one too many for him given that he took Grayson under his wing and looked after him from when he was young.
And for someone special to console and comfort in him time of sadness is what was long overdue as well.
To carry so much pain and to have someone else care so deeply for you as you greave. That is worth living for!
Bruce went through a child’s worst pain when he had to bury his parents
Now he went through a parent’s worst pain when he had to bury his son
People see batman as a bat first and man second but selina now just wants to be there for the man
Batman himself WANTS people to see the bat first and the man second as Batman see HIMSELF as just the bat 24/7. But Selina is there for him to showcase how the man is all that she needs from him and to remind him it's ok to be human and feel.
That "I promise to hold you together" is somethin else
Dick is basically bruce's first son. No one blames bats at all for mourning.
Finally Batman with humanity. Missing that from the animated series. Batman's always just hard as a rock
I wasn't referring to the animated series in the 1990s. I'm talking about the stuff they have now.
Batman crying just shows how bad the situation is, they didn’t have this in the games and comics
“Let yourself fall apart…I promise I’ll hold you together” fuck man that hits hard
I wish i had a girl like Catwoman

You could never blame Batman for the shit he has to put up with ever since he lost his parents... so watching him lose it it so heart warming so he can just finally be true to himself and not hide
This scene was far more emotional than Superman losing Lois
I usually have troubles crying and it's hard for me to let my pent up sadness out so I come back to this video every once in a while whenever I want to cry. It's just a relief y'know?
dude I can't imagine what can a father feel when his son dies... that break your soul, look what has done to Batman
Especially when your other son killed Jim
I can’t imagine how anyone could see batman as any less after this. Man lost his first son because of his other son.
Man... seeing Bruce cry like this hits you right in the feels.
As a child, he knew what was like to lose his parents. Now, as an adult, he finally knows what it's like to lose a child. Though Nightwing was not his child by blood but a child nonetheless that he had raised.
This scene makes it clear how much he loved Nightwing.
Definitely cried when him and Alfred talk in the Dark Knight Rises
Damn, she’s so there for him when he needs her most.
Those whimpers are breaking my heart
“Please! I need it to be different now. I know I made a promise, but I didn't see this coming. I didn't count on being happy.” - Batman Mask of the Phantasm.
This is a beautiful scene which show's Bruce's exact vulnerability which he hides and Selina comforts him with words that are beyond comforting, she looks into Bruce
See's right through him, it like they were mean't for each other
I would imagine it would have been different if Bruce was crying alone, this just shows how much she cares for him as much as he cares for her to the point where they are vulnerable, she comforts him, and says the most beautiful words
It is poetic, that's love right there
Poor Bruce, when someone cries as infrequently as Batman, you know it really means something
He carried to pain of a child seeing his parents die before him, now he carries to pain of living longer than his adoptive son
This show how much she really loves him
Batman has never cried in his life until now
First time Batman cries. I have to say I like Selena in Injustice 😍 she looks good. Hopefully we get Injustice 2.

The two are perfect for each other purely for the fact that they can do what others cant.
Bruce: Why is my face leaking water?
Gordon: Those are tears, man. You know, because you're feeling a lot of emotions. Sometimes all at once.
Batman: There's more than one emotion? I just feel dark and brooding.
Gordon:....we need to get you professional help.
🤣😅🥲
Really need a woman like Selina in my life 😔
he's lucky he has the one he loves to be there
This scene shows how much Selina truly loves Bruce. It’s not his money or his good looks like other women who want Bruce. It’s his autistic personality that Selina genuinely loves about him and finds attractive. It’s why she always teases him for how he acts cause it’s what she loves about him.
One thing that will always sadden me is a unbreakable man being broken it takes a lot.
Respect to supes for letting Selina know that bruce needs her right now.
If Batman cried than that must have really hurt
I kinda have this feeling that not only is he mad at Damian, but he's also mad at himself for thinking he could help him. If that were the case, he'd blame himself for Dick's death. Which would make it even more sad
Dude this is one of the scenes in batman media that hits me hardest
Selina and Diana were truly the ones who who reminded Bruce about his humanity...
Batman: *Cried of Dick's death*
