    It’s insane that the fetus now supersedes the life of the mother! A breathing, thinking, living, human being is now less valuable than a fetus. Not only that, in these situations 2 lives are being lost instead of just one. Tell me how this is pro-life at all?!?!

    • @davidtesler1198

      It is insane how many western women are so sick in their heads to call a baby a fetus. This is one of those extremely rare cases where I think abortion perhaps was viable. Just like drinking someone always has to ruin it for everyone meaning those who use abortion as birth control or those I call pigs have ruined it for emergencies for this lady,,,these are just my opinions

    • @notsomuch9505
      @notsomuch9505 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +34

      Exactly! These people act like they're advocating for an unborn life when in most of these cases the fetus is not viable. So in some vain attempt to seem righteous, you've lost a fetus that wasn't going to make it anyway and a full living human being. I just don't understand.

    Texas has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the country. We are high for infant mortality, as well. Let that sink in. This state SUCKS for maternal and infant care. I almost died because they left after birth inside me. I was not silent and let them know many times how bad I was feeling and how much pain I was in post partum (it wasn’t my first child). Then I told them what came out in the toilet. They still ignored me. I came into the ER a week later shaking violently. Something similar happened to a friend of mine who was pregnant the same time as me and had high blood pressure - she was ignored every time she tried to tell them something was wrong. She almost died during childbirth. Another of my friends almost lost her child because something went wrong during delivery - baby was in NICU for weeks. My three friends and I gave birth in 3 different towns around the Houston area in three different hospital systems. Let THAT sink in. We all had traumatic experiences? To me that’s indicative of a huge issue in Texas.
    So in this particular story, I can definitely tell you: No, the doctors were not concerned about the baby or the mother lol. They literally are incompetent and uncaring - they only care about their money. This is less about it being an abortion ban after 6 weeks state and MORE about it being full of incompetent and uncaring medical personnel who do not respect women as patients.

    If you are a man who got a woman pregnant then afterwards walked away from the relationship which resulted in her having an abortion, then you, (the man) must repent and ask forgiveness. If you do not, yoy WILL be held accountable before God .

      Not to mention the women who have been imprisoned while courts decide if it was indeed a miscarriage, mostly minority women.

    I don't know what it's going to take to get back to good on this basic human right. I am old enough to remember the before times and it was brutal. The reason abortion was made legal nationally because women were dying enmass! The women with money could hop a plane to Puerto Rico and get care but women without the means were forced to go to back alley hacks or more drastic measures which killed many. I haven't looked at the numbers yet but I have seen more stories about finding newborns (alive and dead) abandoned in the last year. I'm sure there's a correlation to the new law. I know a young woman in her 30s who is a single mother of a 4 year old. She had to make the decision to have her tubes tied because she didn't want to die trying to have another and leaving her child orphaned. Another consequence of this law is the loss of medical providers to either retirement or to other states that won't jail them for doing their jobs. Pretty soon there will be a lack of experts in this field, endangering all women. Women are turning out the vote in huge numbers. I hope that a sign for change.

    • @jannibal9273
      @jannibal9273 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      You cannot look at the numbers in many states with the most horrific restrictions and bans on what they consider "abortions" which is actually medical care as we have seen to SAVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN, because the politicians who passed the extreme laws designed to guarantee that women would die from lack of proper and urgent medical care also passed laws to HIDE THE DATA FROM PUBLIC SCRUTINY. Don't believe me - check out Idaho's laws, for one state. Florida also hides maternal death rates. For all I know, Texas does too. The more extreme the denial of medical care to pregnant women is, the harsher the laws become to HIDE THE TRUTH FROM THE PUBLIC. WHY DID IT TAKE TWO YEARS PLUS FOR THESE HORRIFIC EVENTS TO FINALY BE REVEALED? The Republicans know now that some truth is leaking out and people across the country are horrified by the results of what they thought was a "pro-life" thing. Thank you Pro Publica for digging into these tragic horrific events and letting we the people know what is actually happening as a result of those "pro-life" laws.

There have been lawsuits where women have asked for language written in to prevent this type of thing, but they refuse to. A womans life is back to a coin toss when they are pregnant in some of these states. The politicians are also cowards, because they aren't being transparent about the number of deaths. They simply add in the ones that could have been saved to the ones that couldn't, which is an uptick of over 50% since Roe was overturned. So, you would be terrified too. She literally waited until she was desperately ill to seek care in an emergency room where hospitals are obliged to treat you but then we all know they try to kick you out to the curb as soon as possible when they aren't being paid lots of money to provide the patient with proper care. In fact, by all indications, the mother was never denied care for a problem with the baby. Therefore, one cannot deduce from the information provided, that delivering the baby prematurely would have helped. In fact, the article never indicates she was denied this option. Tragic, but not because of abortion laws, sounds like malpractice. But either way woman have died because of pregnancy since there have been women. Go rest with god.

    This has nothing to do with Roe v Wade. It sounds like incompetency on the part of the medical staff. I have never in my 68 years heard of no treatment for situations such as this. Never.

      No in Texas since the overturning of Roe v. Wade it has been a 53% increase in maternal mortality

    • @9290SC
      @9290SC 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@dorino9057 And the reason is behind that mortality is what? Not due to lack of abortions. A abortion is literally never required to save life of the mother. Ask any ob/gyn. And if you're implying that physician's are scared to treat patients, then that's just not true. There are not laws against this. And they know people are ignorant and will just eat up all the lies that are spewed in regard to reproductive laws, by the media gods.

      This has EVERYTHING to do with Roe v. Wade and the Dobbs decision because women are dying all across the country from exactly the same lack of care. WAKE UP. The stories are finally coming out after two years of women suffering pain and agony that we can't even begin to imagine and dying deaths that often leave young children, husbands and family members behind pounding their heads wondering what went wrong. Well - they voted evil people into positions of power who don't give a damn about innocent women dying all across the country from lack of medical care for pregnancies gone wrong. Do you think ANY of those Justices who voted to kill Roe v. Wade would let ANY OF THEIR DAUGHTERS OR GRAND-DAUGHTERS SUFFER SUCH A FATE?

    Texas law allows physicians to do what is necessary to save a mother's life. Physicians need to know how, and need to act, when appropriate.
