I can't get this off of my mind. It's such an unbelievably ignorant mission from the start of the seizure. One should have known that P'nut would be completely freaked out by the sudden invasion, and biting someone should have been expected. In the course of the seizure & detention of the animals , they should have only been handled by a trained wildlife expert. THEY MADE HIM BITE, THEN THEY KILLED HIM FOR BITING. So unbelievably sad &[ senseless.
And yet the police scream and cry that people don't like them. Go after drug dealers you psychos. Oh wait. Much more dangerous than descending on... a squirrel. Peanut was hurting nobody and brought me some relief while I'm dealing with broken bones in my face. I swear cops hate happiness and just want to bring misery.
It was a government department that went after him, took the animals and destroyed them. If police were involved, realize that it was to back up government rules. Get angry with the government.
I’m not arguing that owning a wild animal is okay, but if folks can have exotic pet mammals like sloths, porcupines, weasels, prairie dogs, coatimundis, kinkajous, variegated squirrels, marmoset monkeys, and even non-mammals like snakes, inverts, birds, and lizards, then there should definitely be a better solution than this, especially after seven years of documented care.
Maybe they should go after the individuals that are illegally breeding animals, keeping the animals in horrific conditions, and profiting financially..... there are thousands of these breeders in the US. These people would be kept busy for YEARS shutting these breeders down and saving innocent animals. Instead they confiscate healthy, loved pets which served no purpose except cruelty to animals and people......KARMA please step in here....
People nowadays are CRAZY!! So much lies, hate, violence, fraud, stealing and injustice! I can only imagine the pain of losing a family member like Peanut! 😔
Funny how the officers were so concerned if there were cameras present and none wore body cameras of their own. Did their search warrant mention cameras? Funny also, how in a "Sanctuary State" they were so concerned about the wife's immigration status. Did their search warrant authorize them to search for illegal aliens or were they just trying to unlawfully intimidate this couple? Funniest yet is how a "trained" group of officers carry out a search for allegedly "dangerous animals" without any protective gear allowing one of them to allegedly get bitten. There needs to be terminations, prosecutions and prison time here.
If NY is going to send people in to do these BS missions, shouldn't all of them have to had rabies vaccinations from the very beginning? Might actually help save innocent lives from the very beginning. Especially pets who weren't exposed to outside rabid animals.

What a horrible world. Cant believe they put those babies down and took them from their loving owners. It’s sickening.
This is sick, the ppl behind this need to be held responsible because they have actual murders and abusers they let go every day
The state killed the squirrel? I'm mouth agape. Unbelievable. That's truly horrible. 😔
I had the same thing happen to me and know others that happened to for rescuing baby raccoons when mom was ran over. Ludicrous.
It’s funny how these people in positions of power tend to be the least empathetic, poor animals 💔
So are people who think all animals are innocent and aren't capable of wronging a person.
This has nothing to do with police. You miss the bigger picture.
I raised a baby abandoned squirrel once.
😢😔 I totally get how upset he is. Squirrels are basically tiny dogs
I know 😥 I had a baby ground squirrel as a kid. Lived in my pocket. He was awesome.
The whole world knew peanut imagine what this so called DEC is doing every day to harm animals we don’t know about.
Mind blowing
Over reaching government again , disgusting
Start a fund raiser to sue them.
🎯💯
This is disgusting, what kind of cold monster is the state.
So sad and uncalled for, heartbreaking. Sorry for your loss. R.I.P. Peanut & Fred.
ABSOLUTELY SICKENING. Poor Peanut. And raccoon.
Start naming names.
This is so sad. Peanut must be so scared being away from his dad. This is awful. This poor guy after all he has done, it’s terrible he’s been treated like a criminal 💔
The NY DEC killed Peanut.
Hire a attorney and start suing 👍
I bet anything they will both be euthanized in a matter of weeks. This is a tragic use of state funds in any state.
They pets were euthanized.
They already have been 💔 “to test for rabies” they said 😡
They were already slaughtered
@dhrush964 good.
The world has become a wrechted place
So sorry for you and Peanut. Thank you 🙏 for rescuing so many animals.❤🐾
That’s sad to hear that sorry for your loss
These animals were like his children. To wake up the next morning knowing they were killed by psychopaths is horrible.
This is bs bc if an animal is rabid you can tell
Yes. You can isolate them for 30 days for observation instead of murdering them!
My heart breaks for him! 💔
Do they have nothing better to do?? Our tax dollars for this?? It reminds me of uvaldi and those worthless cops...they need to go after real threats to the public, not squirrels. How sick, stipid and ball less.
This was sick. They killed the poor animals
This is outrageous! The State has nothing else to do than wasting taxpayer dollars on 1 squirrel and 1 raccoon that never hurt anyone?!
Squirrels are not known to be carriers of rabies, Peanut was slaughtered out of cruel intent.
they are too small . never heard of any being carriers of rabbies. but raccoon yeah . they can't be turned into pets. too dangerous
Justice for Peanut and Fred!
X users found someone by the name of Monica Keasley as someone who called nonstop about seizing the animals
I knew it was a Karen.... So Karen's name is Monica?
@jean-pierrevanmelis5072 he posted her face on his Instagram story tlaking about taking legal action against those involved.
He should’ve told the police the squirrel was an illegal immigrant. They would have given him back his squirrel.
They would’ve put it in a Manhattan high rise hotel room with a view 💪
Whomever made that report is a miserable human
Peanut wasn't stolen from nature and sold. He was rescued. Let's be rational people. Government overreach.
What a ridiculous use of law enforcement. Give the man his squirrel back.
This is fascism on both animal species: squirrels and humans!
Government overreach!!! This absolutely ridiculous.
Anything that's common in urban city environments is not "wildlife"... 🤦
Moral of the story, KEEP UR LOVED ONES OFF SOCIAL MEDIA! I guarantee a troll who was sitting back watching him and his family’s peanut content, reported them to authorities. Had peanut never made it to social media, he’d probably still be alive today🙏🏾
Oh wow, I wrote this before hearing that part in the video🤷🏾♀️
But the problem wasn’t so much the troll it was the gouvernement agency that acted irrationally irresponsibly reprehensibly.
These people we hold at higher standards than a basic Karen are absolute morons paid by the people
That’s really f’kd up
How they can even guarantee the safety and wellbeing of an animal that lived so long with a family to the point of being a family member! This is unjust!
Wow! And once again animals are objectified. The institutionalized so-called concern for wildlife/animal welfare has not even considered the emotional turmoil for that squirrel, and likely the raccoon, for displacing them from the humans they obviously love. We haven't learned anything from our own examples of family separation and foster care.
So, are they now in a cage somewhere?
😢
They were euthanized 😢
They are no longer living now.
They killed them
