    At 9h30 am Thursday February 8th, a fire devastated an occupied apartment building near the corner of Sherbrooke and Pie-IX in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Multiple residents had to evacuated and be relocated while some of them were assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation. Firemen attacked the fire from multiple sides of the building and from the roof while police officers blocked traffic from driving down on the major boulevard neighboring the Olympic Stadium. Footage shows the fire fighting action, followed by a tour of the interior of the apartment in rubble including the area in which the fire is believed to have started.

    One of your best videos, people got a look at the devastation left behind by a major fire, the only thing people don't get is the smell and how horrible it is. I been through a couple of minor fires living in a rooming house, which is probably the reason I now live in a camper away from someone who may not be as careful as I am

    Nice Video, glad to hear it was NOT you that took the video in the apartment bldg. but submitted by someone else. Lucky too, it added great stuff to your video footage.

    Good video,
    I was surprised that you would have been allowed to go into the building so soon after the fire what with the damage and the occupants possessions still in there unless you are with the emergency services themselves.

    Although lots a major damage, the building is well made and structurally looks ol bone wise. This will get rebuilt and not turn down. The thick plaster walls did a nice job. Cheap drywall this thing burns to the ground. Devastating fire but the building will survive for another fire statistically speaking within 25 years.

      Sorry, gotta add a question. That place looked like it was a mess before the fire. Am I right? So much stuff just seems to add more fuel.

      +Susan Allen Not sure, I know some hoarder homes can look 10 times worst so it may not have been a factor.

      things were probably thrown around or even distributed between apartments and stuff while the firefighters extinguished the main fire and put holes in the walls and ceilings to check for extension. could have made some units look more cluttered than they were before the fire.

      I was gonna say! Here, they wouldn't let you in for fear you'll tamper with any evidence.
      BTW, and word on the fire cause? Cooking fire?

    • @pascalmarch
      @pascalmarch  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Benjamin Esposti I think that was it yes, a cooking fire.
