The a-side of “Atom Heart Mother”, arranged by vanguard musician/composer Ron Geesin, presented a unique production for the era with it’s larger than life, avant-guard/ classical influence.
Upon my early listenings, I was shocked and amazed by David Gilmore’s sinister slide guitar workings, as each section presented it’s dark universe in turn. It was, and is still particularly meaningful to me, creating lasting impressions and possibilities in soundscape as I began to musically express myself. It is ultimately at the heart of my decision for forming Pink Floyd Trips.
The 2nd half of Gilmore’s solo in Atom Heart Mother imparts yet more alien mysteries, emitting sonic impressions of a vampire playing electric blues guitar, while accompanied by a haunting vocal chorus in the isolated realms of a Victorian mansion. The avant guard chant, followed by the orchestra’s bombastic crescendo bring the piece to it’s momentous conclusion.
It is truly set apart from the rest of Pink Floyd's catalog, and is a powerful composition that leaves an honest and lasting impression.
In celebration of it’s 50th anniversary, we are honoured to introduce this year, for the very first time, our fully orchestrated rendition of Pink Floyd’s “Atom Heart Mother” album in it’s entirety.

Having listened to the Floyd original on headphones hundreds of times as a teen in the 70's, I can say with confidence that this performance is nearly note-for-note true to the original, and without losing any of it's power and nuance. Thank you.

Questa versione presenta rispetto all’originale il vantaggio di avere nella registrazione una compressione dinamica ridotta al minimo essenziale, un gran lavoro anche dal punto di vista tecnico.
They have done a really good job, so similar but different in a great way. If they performed in Melbourne, I would be in the front row.

As a great fan of Genshi Shinbo, and in particular their superb, un-orhestrated version of Atom Heart Mother, I have waited for this full version with great excitement. Just when you thought it could not get any better this performance blows you away. Everything about it is just excellent and it would be wrong to single out any particular part. The whole performance gells together very well and just oozes Pink Floyd and Genshi Shinbo. My favourite Floyd track and my favourite Genshi Shinbo track just got better. It is great to see that this 50 year old masterpiece, which was revolutionary in its day, is still being performed today and performed with such care and passion. Superb. Well done.

This one here, as well as the great performances of the Pink Tones especially at the Segóbriga Roman Amphitheater lead me to a fundamental reflection: I wonder why in popular music, unlike in classical music, the re-performing of musical works, whether as a cover or by a part of the original performers with the support of new band members, is often viewed a little critically. Above all, the comparison of the artists or the versions is, in my opinion, unnecessary. We must finally come to the point that the revival of an oeuvre in popular music has its own charm and is absolutely justified. Nobody expects Paganini himself on stage when an orchestra plays his works these days. And nobody would call the Berliner Symphoniker a cover band. Every new interpretation of the work of great artists by other great artists has its own value. Some of them practice absolute fidelity to the work, others add a personal touch. Interpretations like this one are my counter-example when criticism is leveled at revivals or interpretations by artists other than the original artists. These performances are just as important and valuable as the original. I am very grateful for the work of all the artists!
