I would watch 100 of these types of Vlogs before a single one of the others on YT. The honesty is breath taking. It's also a little comforting, not to you on the day I know, but to the millions of us who think the game hates us. I played a different sport at a relatively high level before coming to golf a couple years back. So I know that pain in your bones when you're not performing to the level that you 100% believe is within you and what you should be doing every time you touch a club. And the absolute truth is that you'll never perform to that level again while you're too scared to fail yourself. Petrified of the scolding you will give yourself and the internal pain that lingers. Hailey, let yourself enjoy the game. Let us laugh with you when you fail. Let us cheer with you when you succeed. None of us care if you shoot 5 under or 15 over. We're just here to watch you being human. Well... that and to watch you chunk that chip. 😜 Love your work.

One thing I have noticed with a lot of Golf youtubers. The game they loved, has become a job. Hailey, you are playing some great courses. You are traveling all over the country, and get the play the game you love. Enjoy it, have some fun with it. We are all going to have more bad days then good days. It's golf, not supposed to be easy.

Getting yourself to smile during a tough round is so incredibly difficult. Good on you for being able to do that.
Enjoyed seeing some of this course!

Hailey, I know you read these (which I love!) and I think I was late to the game two weeks ago but what I wrote to you, I believe, includes an idea that could be transformational to your “next level.” I have pasted it below in the hopes you will read it. The idea (halfway down) just came to me and is specific to your talents, gifts, and connections. Hope it sparks something.
Very wise answer on the question about 5-10 year goals. Ask ANYONE to look back in their life ten years and define what their goals were. Pretty much a guarantee life didn’t turn out that way. So although it’s good to have a long range vision, it’s critical to be flexible to the ebbs and flows, opportunities and setbacks that invariably come in life.
Bein real, I don’t think making TH-cam videos is your passion. As a life coach, I shouldn’t prob say that, but I’m just keeping it real since we are not connected in convo. I don’t sense from your body language that you are in a state of flow when you do them. I’ve seen glimpses of passion to know there is another level to you-for you to reach peak fulfillment-but these videos aren’t it. (Just ask yourself “how do I feel when I am preparing the content, the materials, etc. for these vids?” And be honest with yourself.). That said, they pay the bills AND I think they are helping you home in on whatever is your ideal career. So it’s working short term for you as you move forward.
As a fan of you as a person, I watch weekly. I cheer you on as you find your way. I have great respect for your LOYALTY: to your fans and to your integrity, which makes you so selective in your brand sponsoring.
Sometimes I feel that the actual act of videoing is a burden for you, (shows on cam with body language sometimes) BUT I also sense you get great fulfillment out of contributing something of value to people who follow you. A spirit of giving out of gratitude one might say. You have gifts and talents and this is your current way to share them.
I hope you the best on this journey. We are all on a journey, right? I appreciate that you’re sharing it with us, for however long this season lasts for you. But I assure you: there is certainly another level for you coming. And it will include the best of this season and will shed the burdensome elements.
Keep workin’ hard! That work ethic is a consistent element of your life story and serves as great inspiration for your followers. And keep smiling. That’s an under-appreciated gift you have to give freely. A person can’t have a soul if your smile doesn’t make them happier! Haha
Addendum: Hailey, look at how you LIGHT UP when talking about helping others, like the girls who ask you questions or parents. THAT is clue to where your flow state is. In fact, I’d argue your affect is completely different on a video like this (one in which you are giving directly) rather than a playing vid. Those are fun to watch and all, but I’m just saying to me, your personal fulfillment level seems to peak when you are clearly connecting and delivering valuable, requested content to people.
Ask yourself: (Without regard to money or other limitation), if you could do ANYTHING in the world, what would it be? That’d give you a decent indication. (If I had to guess, I bet it no longer would be to play professional golf, bc that lifestyle doesn’t afford a schedule to give to your fans, which seems to feed you.).
If I had to guess (and who am I, but a no one from nowhere), I’d say it would be to have a tv show akin to one on golf channel, where a player (pref young or female) can call in on a life video feed and ask you questions and in a well equipped studio (say, the new Top golf HQ you filmed at, you could teach them. In real time. You have the charisma for real time TV.
Mayyyybbeeeee, you could PARTNER with Topgolf in such a way that you could personally film at one location but have guest feeds from other satellites (since they are all over the country. ) That way the player would have a top golf pro on hand to guide the player with the tips you are sharing.
I’m an enormous fan on this idea. Like, huge. I have to stop myself from typing more bc it just came to me and, well, this is supposed to be your dream job, not mine. Haha. I feel kinda sad to have this convo with myself. I’d love to know your thoughts and reactions

Given the difficulty of the course I would trade my left nu... uh, pinkie. My left pinkie for a round like you had. I liked the way you kept looking for the brighter side of each hole as you went along. That is a good lesson many of us could learn. Thanks!

It’s a tough course. You would have scored better if you had a bit of local knowledge... don’t be too down on yourself. Wait until the greens are slick for The Open… guarantee someone will putt off a green somewhere. You definitely showed the course will be a great test & is worthy of The Open.
