Post cold war era is witnessing unipolar world ; USA is the sole superpower. Power of UN has reduced in proportion to unipolarity. USA and its NATO allies took decisions to attack Iraq without caring for UN; many such instances have reduced the role of UN as collective security institution. Expand it
Remedies: 1. reforms in UNSC- permanent members from 3rd world; 2. more voice to emerging powers 3. chk & balance on USA powers 4. more pro-active role of UN in conflict resolution...u may think many more
