just purchased I was shocked by the temperature reached in a few minutes of recording to the point that it could not be held in the hand. even the battery life is absurd, 20 minutes in pro and 30 minutes in standard. the test was performed in winter with temperatures around 10 -15 degrees, in summer it will freeze after a while due to excessive temperatures. this is confirmed by official support !!. recharge takes 30-40 minutes ruining whatever ride you are doing. personally i find it hard to call it action cam like the company or youtubers or amazon's or other strangely enthusiastic reviews
Those two are the only issues even I encountered during my period of testing, and I completely agree that it’s subpar for an “action camera”. I did not get the opportunity to take it out on long adventures, but I was certain that it would disappoint just because of these two issues. My workaround for it (not the most efficient) was to record footage in short bursts instead of long sessions. This way the temperature wouldn’t hit peaks and my footage was more organized for my editing workflow, no unnecessary shots. But this might not work for everybody, and it’s also not the ideal use case for an “action camera” 🤷🏻♂️ The size was the deal breaker for me, and it has genuinely helped me grab some amazing angles..
