Divine Presence seems like a perfect fit/safety net in Ghen decks, as you can fetch it from the yard at instant speed to stop any haymaker plays (as long as you have another Enchantment in play).
Intrepid hero: 3 mana creature that can simply tap to destroy any creature with power 4 or greater. Many people are surprised when I first play it, since they've never heard of it but it's so efficient.
Ive got it in my Rocco Caterer deck. And since all Rocco decks should run wirewood symbiote you've got an untapper. I'll return a mana dork to my hand to destroy your creature any day, plus that particular deck is built around casting cheap creatures.
Heres an old-school one. Spidersilk Armor. Mono Green Enchantment that gives all your creatures Reach and +0+1. It's perfect for Bant, Mono Green and Simic tokens. Don't move works with Dazzling Theater.
Dimensional breach, hold priority, cast t pro or clever concealment. Magical Christmas land? Yes. Hilarious? Yes. My playgroup will demand I remove it from my deck? Definitely yes lol
I couldve sworn he's posted it a while ago, could be wrong but I've been put onto it I'm guessing it was from him. I agree, great aggro protection my playgroup despises that card lol
Dingus Egg could do a lot of work if your meta runs every fetch land it can. Just a bunch of incidental damage flying around. Don’t need to lean into it with LD or anything.
Huh i didnt expect to see some cards here, ive acturally played with a few of these such as [[dont move]] and [[diplomatic immunity]]. I have to pull copies out of decks in my deck graveyard to use in newer decks. Also need like 5x copies of some cards here
This doesn't even scrap the bottom of what Dimir Doppelganger is capable of. I play it in my Volrath pseudo mutate deck. And it works just like it. Turn Volrath into a 7/5 version of Spawnwithe is nice but turning him into a Dimir Doppelganger who exiled a Spawnwrithe then you can start cooking since you now have access to each creature with a counter on it and each creature in the graveyard. In short Dimir Doppelganger copying any self duplicating creature is really good. Compy Swarm but as soon as a good creature hits your opponents graveyard you switch one for that creature. Or in Surveil decks like 2nd Mirko. Mill a Copy Catcher, turn Dimir Doppelganger into one and you get multiple cards to hate on your opponents graveyard. Or if you lose your Scute Swarm in a Sultai Landfall deck you quickly get it back with an upside
I cannot see many circumstances where you would use don’t move rather than the new split up. I suppose it buys you a turn to find an answer if an opponent uses Teferi’s protection to evade the board wipe.
@@4sm0d3f It would only get you a one turn reprieve from that Commander. That’s far too niche for anyone to want to run it over split up. If you need several such board wipes, such as a Hylda deck where you expect to keep tapping everything, it’s a playable board wipe…
Don't Move is interesting, but we just got Split Up in Duskmourn which is just way better imo. I run Disciple of Deceit in my Archelos deck and it's amazing. The deck runs plenty of vehicles, mounts, Springleaf drum effects and other ways to tap my creatures safely. Dimensional Breach can be combined with something like Eerie Interlude to save your creatures (or Teferi's to save your whole board). It is mana intensive, but if both resolve, it's pretty much game.
Ended up cutting Dimensional Breach after the 3rd time playing it. Made my locals go over 3 hours, and the other 2 times it literally doubled the length of the game. Switched to a better board wipe that synergized better with the deck. Sure you could T-pro. But you can do that with more efficient board wipes at that point…. Or just farewell.
I said this somewhere else and the RC botched this from the start. Before I go any further no one should be threatening anyone over a game. What I took from the RC response was they were not going to change anything on how they did anything and they did not trust the CAG. You know the CAG whose whole purpose was to talk about things like this.
I used dimensional breech with The Cheese Stands Alone while silver boarded cards were legal for a while. As long as my hand is empty after playing breech I would just return Cheese to win the game immediately.
I love Diplomatic Immunity, great with any commander that doesn't need anything else and you just want it to be on the battlefield. Favorite card in my Jon Irenicus deck.
I run Dimensional Breach in my blink deck bc a large strategy of mine is to put all my creatures in an Abdel Adrian or a Glorious Protector, then blink that creature multiple times. With Dimensional Breach I can put everything in a box, cast it, everyone loses their board and I keep mine.
I just played a game this weekend with a deck I have with divine presence. It was VERY powerful, but it almost made me lose the game. It really wants to be in a deck with lower-power creatures, or where you win with pinging effects. This particular deck was trying to use it like a pillow-fort strategy, which worked well! But because I didn't have lots of smaller-damage sources, it effectively worked as a pillow fort for EVERYBODY. So it's coming out of that deck, but it was still very very strong. Learn from my mistake. 👍
Oh Dingus Staff, how I love you so. Such a gem against sacrifice combo Mind Bend and Spectral Shift are pretty amazing cards. Instants that can permanently change a color or land word on a card (There's also Whim of Volrath, but that's $8 and only until end of turn) I've shut off a Nylea that was about to kill me by changing the devotion requirement, I've mana fixed myself by changing one of my extra islands to a forest, change a protection of mine or an opponent's sword to my benefit, Urborg and Yavimaya to my benefit, ruined a coffers, changed a landwalk ability If someone tries to hit you with a Boil, Spectral Shift can target spells and let you can turn it back on that player Oh, and Artificial Evolution is funny against tribal decks. That's a nice Priest of Titania you have that taps for mana equal to the number of Caribou in play - I also recommended it to someone doing the RGU Omnath with Field of the Dead (Cares about Elementals, so modify the Field)
10:52 I would say that Distant Memories would be decent if you didn’t have to reveal the card. Because you have to reveal it, it’s a bad Diabolic Tutor at best. And this is coming from someone who still runs Harmonize in decks without blue or black, because it’s unconditional draw. Beast Whisperer and Guardian Project and Rishkar’s Expertise and the are all conditional. Blue already has a plethora of unconditional draw. And considering you’re probably getting an instant or sorcery, just play Solve the Equation.
Note to self: If I ever encounter Demo in the wild make sure to run lots of enchantment and artifact removal, save deflecting swat, imp's mischief, and bolt bend for the diplomatic immunity.
Dimensional breach has closed out the game for me a few times. Bounce all my creatures with a Glorious Protector right before my turn, then cast Breach. It's almost been cut because a few times it's done that, "steal the win from myself" thing
i put Divine Presence in my Darien, King of Kjeldor deck that cares about ping damage and making tokens. that card has saved my ass so many times. when you get the self-damaging effects online, it’s hard to prevent you from being the target of attacks
I feel like Dogged hunter should always be able to find a target its just if the card has synergy with the rest of your deck. White weenies, humans etc etc
Immunity has always been the go-to aura for Zur, or at least that's the case in my lgs Yea, you can still stick auras onto a shrouded Zur since the aura etb has to find a legal thing to attach to and it doesn't target.
Something to note about dimir doppelganger, with ability not being sorcery, you can turn it into creatures you typically couldn't, such as shuffle drazis.
Not only that but if you have your commander go to the grave, you can use this to place your commander from exile back the command zone too. Giving you another commander on board.
lets say you have a 12/12 trample Ghalta coming your way whyle you have a 4/4 Serra Angel and divine presence in play. You block with your Serra Angel. Damage gets assigned: 4 to the Angel, 8 to you. Then Divine Presence prevents all but 3 damage. Your Angel survives with 3 damage on them and you take 8 damage.
Distant memories would be great if it was target opponent, but 2UU and having to remove a card from your deck that is better than drawing 3 cards or else just tutoring for that mediocre card is not great value for blue. It’s a bad harmonize in a colour that excels at card draw.
I run Plea for Power in the "better than harmonize/concentrate" slot. One less pip, and the option for opponents to give you an extra turn, basically a draw one, if they don't want you to draw 3. I don't expect to ever get the extra turn.
@@edhdeckbuilding I misread it. I thought it was any opponent can exile it, else draw 3 cards rather than any opponent can put it in your hand from exile, else draw 3 cards. Dimensional breach, hold priority, cast t pro or clever concealment. Magical Christmas land? Yes. Hilarious? Yes. My playgroup will demand I remove it from my deck? Definitely yes lol
I feel most play groups would either run an instant speed board wipe, a counterspell, or an actual throat punch for plays like that.
@dannybeane2069 Throat punch you say? Imagine swapping Breach for Farewell
Still just going to meantion teferis veil until i see it meantioned. Its still the best card to protect your agro board from board whipes.

divine presence is neat.
the downside is that my meta has a lot of small damage throwing that adds up instead of one or more big things.
