I like what he's trying to do but shoe brands have a ungodly advantage in production, marketing, and quality. He's gonna need time and someone from that world to help guide him.
THIS! I agree with you completely my man. The big dogs in the footwear industry have all the advantage against up-and-coming brands as these established brands already have the industry by their hands. It’s a tough climb, and Jaylen’s brand will definitely need all the help it can get.
A shoe can be high performance and a isolated incident can cause a tear. The actual tear hapoen when he had a collison with jokic & murray and it look like while kneeing his groin jokic(weight and force came down on his sneaks). Mesh type material is already not the best thats why its rarely used. ive had addias and nikes do the same thing while working out with free weights and it getting caught inbetween the floor panels and me yanking. I think with more design tweaks especially in the front it will hold up better.
Id say its a faulty shoe pair, every brand has some issues with their shoe batches, rhis might be one lf those problem pairs, so i perdonally rhink its an isolated case
The most common sense thing to do was to add a fuse panel to the toe drag area. How hard was that to do? Of course as it is mesh it’s going to rip to shreds as it’s plastic that will melt with friction from the hardwood and tear on the outdoor
Correct. A simple solution could have saved the brand from this I guess minor (?) setback - a TPU film reinforcement at the toes. It should be industry standard by now for shoes using soft materials in the toebox. It’s one thing 741’s designers need to get used to.
I’m not saying don’t buy them. By all means, do whatever pleases you. I support the brand in fact, which is why I had recommendations at the end on how to resolve this. It’s NOT that I think the shoe had a tear at the forefoot. It’s that the shoe IN FACT had a tear at the forefoot.
I really love Jaylen Brown. He's my favorite player on the Celtics. I love him more than I do Tatum. I think he's the best player on the Celtics. But I think this is a bad look early on for the 741 brand.😮. Your NBA champion and a NBA finals MVP and Eastern conference finals MVP. And your signature sneakers shouldn't be ripping like that going up and down the basketball court like that. That is a quality control issue. As stated. I was thinking about getting these shoes, but then again I don't know. I know he took this idea from the late great Kobe Bryant when Kobe was thinking about starting his own brand called Mamba when him and Nike was having issues before his untimely death unfortunately. But the shoes got to be able to withstand all types of rigorous activity to be costing $200. That's why I stick to my retro Jordans. Ones through 14. And I have a pair of 31s that's good too. LOL.😊. Dear Jordan, 31 Chicago colorway was a great shoe which I have.
I’m getting them for me and my son! Break the chains of the major markets.
That slight tearing is nothing, its just a knit cover
I'm getting them
I’m not gone be playing basketball in them..
I’ve had Nikes that didn’t make it after 1 6miles run, stop the clickbait
Explain how this is clickbait, because if you’re basing your accusation solely on the video title, then you are utterly mistaken my friend.
Probably a test shoe

Super expensive shoe but Low Quality
This is a Nike endorsed video but I’m not gonna be playing ball like a nba player so I’m good 741 all day supporting black entrepreneurs all day
Lol this is absolutely NOT a Nike-endorsed video. If you keep tabs of my videos, you would know that I am critical of Nike.

It would seem like he would have practiced with the shoes to test them.
Highly likely bro. But it seems too quick for the shoe to have early signs of tearing.
