I have a lg model 49lv560h hotel tv and actually have no problems switching between inputs. My ROKU stick works fine. The problem I'm having is that when i switch to "tv/antenna" input and scan for digital and analog channels, it always comes up with "no channels found". I've tried multiple antennas. I've researched and it appears maybe I need an installers remote but i just can't get it to find a single channel. Also when i go to "settings" I don't have a general settings button or any of the settings shown in this video so I think that must be something that the installers locked out as well.

I don't understand the motivation behind this. You're not gonna MAKE ME pay. You're just going to make me hate you and watch stuff on my laptop.

Alright ppl, for the ones who stay at Marriots with black cage on the wall, here's how you disable it.
Step 1, pull the TV out from the wall so u can see the box inside the cage.
Step 2, take the ethernet cord out of the wall
Step 3, take the HDMI out the tv along with the one next to it.
Step 4, unplug the TV cord from the back of the TV and plug it back in to make it restart
Step 5, plug your device up and enjoy!
It may take a second for the TV to respond to the remote. I figured it out today and I'm so excited to share!

useful unless the hotels now block settings access even with a universal remote... think the real problem is the hotels need to learn to let their paying customers have the option to use their own media devices if they so wish. It's just stupid & greedy that they want to control your viewing experience.
