Love this concept , so I tried it , within a month I had a stunning vine , to say i was over the moon , would be an understatement, But shortly afterwards my potato started to rot 😣, So fear of polluting the tank , I removed my beloved spud , any ideas on how to grow the vine , without the potato, many thanks ,
Once the vines are a couple of inches long they can gently be pulled off the potato and the potato can be removed and the sweet potato vine (called slips) can be left in the tank.
Hello Erica , seems you were right 😁 , done exactly what you said , placed a shoot into tank , An it seems to be thriving, an its developing a nice little root system , many thanks ,
Wowww
