When there are 4 fast Racers close enough in the Points standing to decide who wins the World Championship on the final race of the season, that's exciting..
He actually waved at the crowd. As he was sliding by them in the rain.. They never seen anything like that from the riders..
And the Isle of Man is the most, Dangerous. Over 250 riders have died in that race...
I sure do hate to admit it, but I always heard that Kenny Went to Europe to road Race because Yamaha didn't have anything to compete against the Harley Davidson XR-750's on 1/2 mile and 1 mile dirt tracks.
The Europeans said that Kenny would not be competitive in Europe.. They said it takes the first year just to learn the tracks..
The xs650 was competitive with the pushrod XR, but the AMA blatantly favoured HD.
@@irvhh143 Kenny Roberts actually said that Yamaha would not build a Flat Track bike that was competitive with the XR-750 .. The XR-750 was not reliable with Iron Heads ext .. It took Harley 3-4 years to Improve the XR to the point where is was Dominant.. One Trick simply was a very heavy flywheel ..
