    It sucks but injuries are to be expected. If they didn't happen then we would never have seen Lohrie become a regular

    If he’s out long term this opens up the opportunity for them to trade for a top six winger

    Hampus Lindholm has the coolest stick. He literally scrapes the paint off the bottom 8” of the stick to make it white with white tape. Imagine the time put into each stick

    Unfortunate to lose him but injuries happen. Opportunity for Oesterle to step up and contribute. Also a chance for Lohrei to get a run of games and try and secure his roster spot. We'll see what happens tonight

    Montgomery has the injuries wildcard to save getting fired?

      I guess but the fact Cam Neely made the trip to St.Louis I have a feeling they lost that game he could of been fired

    Sometimes when young players are not expected to do much, they defer to the veterans. Now that Hampus is going to be out for a while, Lohrei may and should be freed to utilize his talents more. He's still going to make some mistakes, but that's how you learn. I would pair him with Carlo to minimize the damage. Oesterle and Wotherspoon should be the third pair, McAvoy and Dadonov the first.

      This is very sound and logical take and I agree

      Good comment - I agree. I have suspected many players Puck watching during some of the Bergeron years.
      When Bergeron was out injured, (and Krejci) during the Panthers series, we saw the team step up.
      Bergeron return from injury and we lost three games in a row.
      Not just this example.. yet
      I think you're on to something.

    Hampus broke or fractured a bone. 6-8 weeks we just lost him for. Oh boy. He has carried this team so much. Last year he won game 7 against Toronto singlehandedly and he's a goddamn DEFENSEMAN. He scored the tying goal, then made the genius pass to get the puck in by bouncing it off the board to a spot where Pasta could grab it and get in alone behind the D. When anyone talks bad about Hampus, I get pissed. Of all the players on this team, Hampus is the last that deserves to get shit. I will throw hands with someone that is talking trash about Hampus.

      Noted

    • @TheFoolintherainn
      @TheFoolintherainn หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm a Hampus fan also. I have quite a few highlights of him stepping in to save Jeremy's arse last season when he was going through learning curves, not controlling rebounds. And sometimes they're easy to miss, best to see them from the overhead camera
      The only truly valid critique of Hampus is he does not like to hit. He has stated it directly- does the minimal to separate the player from the puck.
      He's got Charlie McAvoy to be his wrecking Ball.
      Furthermore, even when I'm just listening to the game, can't watch - I hear Hampus's voice through the announcers microphones
      Great communicator on ice.
      Yeah- this one's going to hurt (sigh)

  • @eatonbeaver6972
    @eatonbeaver6972 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yeah it sucks Lindholm going down but injuries happen and part of being a contender is being able to win despite injured players.
    Oesterle I expect will be alright. He has been around enough to know what his role will be.
    I am hoping this is the opportunity Lohrei needs to get more minutes and shine. I think Lohrei has the potential to be a high scoring defenseman. He has shown great skill with the puck. I think his liability is defensively. Let him learn on the fly I say, too much upside with this guy to be half way about it. Play him and play him more. He has great instincts for when to attack and pinch etc. Take the reigns off already and let him play his game. He can't learn how not to get beat defensively until he gets beat defensively LOL

    • @bruinsdiehards
      @bruinsdiehards  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I hope Lohrei steps into the spotlight as well

  • @TheFoolintherainn

    Good luck to Osterle. This is Mason's opportunity to show us what he's got. And oesterle to show us whether he would be ready for playoffs.
    McAvoy better be a good boy. The coordination and success of the defense is going to rest on his shoulders whether he likes it or not.
    And we'd better hear from Brando BIG TIME
    I can't shake that "ugh".
    This bear doesn't like this at all. We can hear Hampus during games. He's always talking.
    The great communicator.
    There's a lot of little stuff he does that goes unnoticed
    For the first time this season, now I am worried about making playoffs.
    we're talking about a knee
    After he's 100% again, it'll be another month for Hampus to get up to speed.
    The rest of the team better wake the hell up!
    It's only hockey but, this isn't going to make my week better.
    ☹️
    Thanks for the update.

    I love to see how many people complained about Matt grezlik I know that's not how it's spelled but that's how talk text spells Matt's name but he did so much on the power play and the penalty kill and offensively defensive then now they're having trouble finding somebody to replace him

      @@bruinsdiehards you've got me thinking, Matt may not have been the best D, but he had chemistry with his lines.
      I remember him winding it up and getting that slap shot in. When he wanted to turn it on, he was on
      The way his teammates talked about him, he was a big part of the Locker room.
      Nothing against this group, but in previous years, we could feel these teammates were friends.
