Most of our videos focus on how you can cram as much as possible into every day at the parks, but what if you'd like to relax and take your time with things? This is the first in a new series of videos where we show you a different approach to using Disney Genie Plus at Walt Disney World that focuses on taking your time to enjoy the park without rushing back and forth from land to land or staring at your screen all day to get the best possible return time for your rides. Our first park is the Magic Kingdom, and you may be surprised how much we manage to get done - even without all the hustle and bustle.

DJI OM 5
This is like a steadicam for your phone. It keeps all your shots smooth and level, even while you are walking. Do not use on fast rides like roller coasters. Also note that this can convert to a selfie stick, but selfie sticks are not allowed in Disney Parks. This item is allowed because it is primarily a gimbal but you are not allowed to extend it.

What can I say other than THANK YOU!!!! We had an amazing week at Disney in part because of your awesome videos and tips! Genie+ slots were totally fun to play and I got some great return times using your tips. My teenaged kids even got into it, cheering when I would snag a good time. We were able to ride every ride we wanted and never had to wait more than 20 minutes for anything which allowed us to enjoy other parts of the parks. I even showed another family how to do it while we rode the Sky Liner to the park, they had no idea you could make changes. I hope you keep posting and wish you great success with your channel, I've already recommended you to several friends :)
I went today and this is what we did, start at park open: Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan LL at 9:00 (secured it at park open). Then Philharmagic, small world, haunted mansion, people mover, carousel, Space Mountain 10:55 LL. All of that by 11:00. Then Monsters Inc, Buzz Light year LL, Ariel LL, Seven Dwarfs Mine at 1:20 ILL. Then, Country BEar Jamboree, Tom Sawyer's Island. Winnie the Pooh at 3:00 LL, the Swiss Family Treehouse, then The train. Out of park by 4:30. It was quite amazing. Great weather and no lines. We had a blast and never even felt rushed.

Just got back from WDW and used your guide on how to ride everything in the parks. It worked! We couldn’t believe it. We used Genie + in MK and Hollywood Studios it was perfect. You are making me feel much more at ease! I’ve been to Disney multiple times but the last was in 2008, so a lot has changed and I’m definitely intimidated by it all! Seeing this makes me feel like my little one and I can actually do it all between our 2 MK days without feeling rushed!
Genie Plus is your friend...I can not stress this enough! Once you master how to work the App, you will have the best day ever at Disney. We literally walked on all the rides and rode around 12-13 rides in ONE DAY. Thanks to this channel for tips and tricks for the most productive Disney day ever!
Yes! I think a lot of people dislike Genie because what it replaced was free and let you book more stuff in advance. That said, Genie is a very effective tool if you know how to use it and can afford to add it to your trip. So glad to hear you had a good experience. I just came back from a marathon family of 4 Disney 5 day vacation. We ended up riding everything at every park with your tips. Early entry is a must for anyone expecting to make this happen. And every Genie + we had was almost back to back. Once we did all the rides we hit some shows (Feathered friends at Animal Kingdom was so great). Honestly, I was having a blast walking past everyone who had to wait 2-3 hours on some rides. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing those passes for Rise of the Resistance and Guardians. We did everything Epcot and Animal kingdom had to offer before 1pm. Your tips were a life saver. I cant imagine the time we would’ve wasted waiting in line without Genie +. To anyone reading this Rob is 100% correct in being at the parks for early entry and booking your lightning lanes at 7am. I was happy to delete my Disney and Swan hotel apps on the flight back to Minnesota. We walked an average of 23k steps a day and overall I walked over 60miles. It’s a commitment!
Lyft is a must for Magic kingdom and Animal for that ease and stress free transportation. I didn’t pay more than $15 for a Lyft XL from the Swan. We walked to Epcot and HS and took advantage of the friendship boats for the way back. Trust me everyone, it’s so fun to walk past everyone that’s waiting hours - Genie plus was a breeze to use (or maybe we were just very lucky). Thank you again to you and the Channel! That may be the last time I go, and I’m so happy that I used your advice and tips. Cheers to Ear Scouts

Monday- landed and did some pool time and Instacart some snacks
Tuesday - Magic Kingdom
Wednesday-Epcot we came back 5 hours later to watch the Fire Works since we were done by 3ish.
Thursday - sleep in with hotel and pool day until the Mickey Halloween party
Friday- Holly Wood Studios
Saturday - Animal Kingdom and we were don’t by 3. We even got stuck on the Safari which was great since that is probably the best ride to be stuck on (Rhinos and Giraffes were in the roads)

I was very focused on a touring plan to make sure we got as much done as poss but seeing this video, I really like the laid back approach. I might try to mix the two.

We discuss in our regular Genie videos for each of the parks which rides are the most popular, so you can plug that into your formula for picking the best Lightning Lane near you to book next. Thanks to your guides I had a perfect 3 Days parks expérience last week. I use a different strategie I liked yo share you. 1) At MK I got LL At 10am to make a must to Do, I got a second LL for 4pm, between I used Genius+ to skip all little attractions with 20-30 mins waiting line to get acces directly. I used It on 9 attractions plus 2 must to Do for 11 in total. 2) At Hollywood I booked 3 must to do between 4 and 6 pm, rest of the day I made little attractions starting with a LL At 11am, It was also great.

It depends a lot on when you’re here/how busy it is. You’ll be surprised how much you can do before 6, especially if it’s a day when the park closes at 6. Good luck!

Hi Kelly! We will definitely be making videos closer to Christmas, but I don’t think any day will come close to Christmas or New Years besides maybe Thanksgiving. We did Thanksgiving Day at Magic Kingdom last year, but we were mainly focused on the food. 😂 The best advice I can give for any busy day is to use Genie Plus and always try playing the Genie Slots for at least five minutes. If you can’t get a good return time within 5 minutes, grab the best you can get and try again when you can book the next one. I will typically play for 10-15 minutes before I give up on getting a great return time, but I also live here and am not missing out on experiencing the park. It’s a beautiful time to be at Disney World. I hope you have an unforgettable holiday vacation. 😃🎄
Little late to comment here but decided to watch this again and your point of Enchantment is spot on. I've never seen Happily Ever After I am sure it is awesome but man when the show begins and she sings make a wish upon a star and seeing my daughter's face light up as the firework goes across the castle it gets me every time I think about it, knowing at least for me it will always be a core memory and I am sure for her as well. We will be there at the end of this week and into next and I know it's gonna get me again because she can't wait for Enchantment, so I know people are excite for HEA to come back but on a personal level I will miss Enchantment. Love your videos and the way you present them. I've learned a lot. Thank you! We just got back from a week+ trip and wow, I hate what an absolute money grab Genie+ and ILLs are. Our trip was super fun. We spent the first half of every day in the parks, rode almost everything we wanted. The 2nd half of the days were a mix of going to Typhoon Lagoon twice, eating some great meals off property, strolling around the other resorts and doing SO much pin trading, meeting a lot of great vacationers and CMs. But waking up before 7a to rush to spend money on Genie+ and fiddling to get our LL and ILLs.. it blows. Then working around the multiple down times of the latest rides (maybe I'm cursed? maybe Disney buys crappy goods? but dang, I counted four times Ratatouille was down) and then trying to find another good time to get on those new rides when they're finally back up, dodging everyone else who has their phone in their face while they do the same dance. It's madness. Few visitors are relaxing on these vacations. Well, at least the poor sap doing the planning isn't relaxing. But anyway, thanks for the video!

We were in Epcot that same night and saw the rocket launch too! What a magical moment! 😍 thinking of genie+ as a game is the best advice, that’s how I used to approach fastpass+ and I loved playing it! My favorite moment ever was one night when we were walking out of Magic Kingdom at the end of the night. As we passed in front of Cinderella Castle, we saw a super bright shooting star and it was absolutely magical. I wish I had that one on video. 😂 Thanks for watching! 😃

Thank you for the “Disney Genie Slots” idea. We were able to get one for Slinky Dog at 7pm for 8pm one night last week! I couldn’t believe it!

THANK YOU for this style of video. I broke my foot and am in a walking cast, and we are bringing my mom and mother in law to Disney in a few weeks. I was terrified of the pressure to get everything in. Watching this more relaxed video definitely eased my mind a bit
Hi Melissa! I have done WDW from a wheelchair when my foot was messed up and you can definitely still enjoy the parks. Genie Plus will help a lot because it is a bit slower to navigate the crowds and the Lightning Lanes will more than make up the difference. Good luck - and we hope your foot heals soon!
Love the approach of this video. I have a toddler, so it is nice to see how to enjoy the park without running from place to place. When will you be releasing the other videos for Animal Kingdom and Epcot in this series? We are heading to Disney in February and would love to plan our day with your approach!

That’s so exciting! I hope you have an amazing first visit to the parks. I have gotten teary a few times at Disney World and this was definitely one of them. It was the first time I’d seen the show since they announced it was going away. Nobody does a fireworks show like Disney. 🙂

Hi Risa! For some reason, I have my best luck on Sundays. Avoid Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays if you can (at least in my experience). In the off season (when school is in session) random Tuesdays and Wednesdays can be great, too, but I’m usually at work. 😂

Hi Kayla! You’ve got it. Just refresh. Also, be sure to edit your selections on your Tip Board so that only a few rides that you want to “play” for are at the top of the list. This makes it easier to grab a good time after you refresh before someone else grabs it. Good luck! 🍀🧞♂️🎰
