American cities have a distinct look South African cities don't have. Vibes don't even give off Joburg. Maybe a slow day? Really cool city though. Yes I see the melrose arch comparisons. But I still understand why you guys say Johannesburg is more comparable overall to Atlanta.
People just used NY as a comparison because both cities are the biggest and richest cities in each respective country.

Hello @Ultra _Magic hope you’re doing well today. I wanted to answer your question as to why we compare Johannesburg to Atlanta. I previously lived in Atlanta. I believe it’s simply because of the cultural similarities. Atlanta is Black Mecca, so to speak, for African Americans or Black Americans in the USA 🇺🇸! Black people either love it or hate it . But most are proud of the city because a lot of Black Americans are in power there politically and economically.
I am living in Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦 a USA expat and I get the same feeling about how South Africans view Johannesburg. As well they should because Johannesburg is a beautiful city and South Africa 🇿🇦 is a beautiful place! I think we are one South African Americans 🇿🇦🇺🇸!!!1 for your proper tour experience I used a very reputable travel company the Real South Africa. All the people who want to visit the continent of Africa I suggest you contact them!!!1🇿🇦🇺🇸
