Man i have a few old spintastic and yoyojam and duncan ball bearing tops. Those things were a blast! Glad to see tops still going strong! I still get em out ocassionally!
I think it's worth mentioning that there's a trick you can learn with the fixed tip to keep it spinning as long as you want that isn't possible with the bearing tip. Each of these tops can do things the other cannot
I still have my dad trompo it’s wooden I had to replace the needle point with a nail and then it broke in half and then I fixed it with super glue and baking soda. It’s old.
If you’re in the area of a lake or something. It would be bad ass to use the ball bearing tip on a Lilly pad, provided it’s not too heavy for the surface of the pad.
Friction is equal, the reason the ball bearing spins longer is because the friction is distributed among the balls in the bearing rather than throughout the trompo itself
@@bltrn Do you know Mr. Chris Neff? He just sent me mine (actually my third one) lol which is yellow and black! I love it, talk about one of a kind top! In a class all it's own!
Do gravel necks please with the blue one I bet it will be so hard for it to spin. It won’t even spin, so will you please still gravel with the blue one?
I've never touched one of those, but as someone who has regularly changed bearings from like 11 or 12 to today (mid twenties) that eaither sounds; no bearing, cheap bearing with no lube maybe even a plastic bearing? or something about the plastic makes it super loud? Eaither way when I spin a fresh bearing, or one that's not been super beat up it's basically silent or you can hear the quality if that makes sense? That just sounds like friction and plastic
This mf really got me wanting to buy a trompo at 3:45AM on a Wednesday. 😒
lol I’m watching this at 245 am on a Wednesday what are the odds 😂😂

In my childhood place in the province we use sharp nails and wood for them and you can spin them while smashing the nailpart onto the ground
Bro treat us like we skipped physics class a lot 💀

we only had dirt but we sweep it smooth and it worked great for us.
So one good for grippy surfaces and ones good for hard surfaces
“As you can see this one already stopped spinning”
Me : 👁️👄👁️ you hit it with your pinky ?
Lmao made me watch it 3 times. To be fair it accidentally hit it. But still like homie said. Mf got me wanting a Trompo at 8:30 am on a Wednesday 🤣
Back in my day we had beyblades
Imagine if you lubed the ball bearings up it’d be like interstellar
the ball bearing one only works better on a high friction surface, try them on the floor next.
If you’re in the area of a lake or something. It would be bad ass to use the ball bearing tip on a Lilly pad, provided it’s not too heavy for the surface of the pad.
legends say that the blue spintop is still spinning

Eyeballs! people's eyeballs Please.
I'm curious how a sleeve bearing would behave.
Carpet. Lol depending on the fluff almost impossible. Tried it as a kid and never could. Too much friction and dug into the fibers
