I love Judge Milian and her compassion for family. She dreads laying down the law sometimes because it could tear a family apart being in court. I love how she coaches families into forgiveness because family is so important .

I think the plaintiff blames the defendant for her son's suicide and thinks she probably abandoned him. She started to lash out, the defendant was still grieving and trying to keep her daughter's memory alive and still feeling alone from her husband not processing their daughter's death the same way she was, and probably came defensive. It's a sad thing all the way around. They are both hurting. I hope they reconcile. How sad.

I didn't get the impresson the defendant blames her ex-daughter-in-law for her son's suicide. The issue seemed to be about what they expressed in court: the burial plots and the MIL not switching schools to follow the plaintiff. I believe if the MIL had transferred schools, they would have maintained their relationship. The son couldn't handle his daughter's death and that's nobody's fault.

The murder of the defendant's daughter remains unsolved so I entirely understand why she continues to try and get the media involved. The plaintiff was wrong on that part accusing her former daughter-in-law of using the cameras. They both have hurt each other but on that issue I understand the defendant.

She IS using her d€ad daughter for attention! Look how she came to court!! If someone was REALLY wanting their daughter's murder to be solved. You would work with the police and maybe call in regularly to see if anything knew has happened!! And if you have the money you would hire a reputable privet eye or detective! Not get money from donors and appeal to the media regularly and wear shirts like that anytime you are in front of the camera!
I am sorry she lost her daughter but sometimes there are no leads in a case! But to use her daughter's d€ath for attention! SIX YEARS LATER she is STILL trying to get attention for it!

This is very similar to what happened to my family. My brother died from a terminal illness at 5 y/o. My parents grieved, but not in support of each other. They ended up divorcing, and my mother committed suicide a year later. My dad and I had it real rough. We never recovered from the losses, we didn't have the best relationship, we really didn't discuss what happened and we both handled things in a destructive way. My dad passed away a few months ago at 63. His death could have been preventable, but he soothed himself with unhealthy foods. When there is a loss of a child, EVERYONE need to be in grief therapy as soon as possible. It's the kind of tragedy that can't be handled without professional psychological help. You can't just pray it away. The tragedies destroyed a good portion of our lives.

Cause ya'll only see it 1 way. The grandmother is then only one on her own side her son is gone. Meanwhile, the defendant has her whole family against her. Even in her description of the situation at the school.. she never puts the defendant down, she says it was the defendants sister. I got a feeling that family was nasty nasty to her after she stayed at the other school. And yes the defendant played a role in it. Those feelings dont just go away in a snap. The plaintiff didn't do anything to the defendant. She plaintiff feels wronged

I think one part of this case is that both women came to the court in pain but still remained calm. We've all seen TV court cases where the people involved get ugly and while they both said hurtful things it is clearly stemming from their own deep hurts. It's not uncommon for a marriage to break after the loss of a child. I do hope they can find some level of peace and comfort in a reconciliation.

You can tell that the judge truly felt sympathy for both the plaintiff and the defendant. And doug truly showed his warm side in this case. I didn't know he had it in him . I'm so used to seeing him being sarcastic.

This is not the first time I have seen Doug get out of character and try to bring people together after an emotional case. He spoke for many folks when he invited them to patch things up after the case. Much prayer is needed for them to see how they are affecting those looking on from the outside. They must both take personal hurt out of the equation to resolve this.

Tiphne's death made her a fighter; the only thing about that she thinks that everyone should fight like her and grieve like her. She needs to attend grief therapy. It works. When my father died, the hospital where he passed away was at. Made me go to grief therapy. It's part of their hospital's policy. I wish all hospitals had this policy. When I returned home to California, they gave me a list of places to go. I continued it. I loved it. Now, I first tell people that they should try grief therapy.

I believe grandma she’s a very well spoken quiet lady and I’m sure her former daughter in law spoke to her nasty I do pray healing for both. Although the letter was shared of what the mother in law said which wisdom I’m sure encouraged her to bring. None of us had a clue why she responded with what she said. The defendant had the judge thinking she bad mouthed her pretty bad and as the plaintiff said it wasn’t just the defendant it was her family too

Men and women tend to grieve differently, and sometimes, that can rip a marriage apart. The same thing nearly happened with my uncle and aunt when they lost their only daughter, my cousin, to a car accident. But thank God that they were able to work through it somehow, and now they’ve been married for 50 years.
