I like how after Joe said they had some good topics to discuss Raanan said “I haven’t looked at it, I’m going in blind” as if he has been prepared a single time for this podcast.
Love you Raanan just busting your balls!

I've heard Joe bring back that Quinn line a few times. "I'm shooting something" "Yourself, I hope!" Always a classic.

    - Fictional movie about standup? "King of Comedy?"
    - Great pick on the "Wonderboys" soundtrack, Raanan. How about "Singles?" Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains. "Garden State" is damn good too.

A good under the radar movie score:
“Ghost Dog: The way of the Samurai” by RZA. I’m not the biggest hip hop fan but it definitely set the tone and mood.
On that note: please do some Jim Jarmusch movies. I can’t predict if you dig his movies or not..

Different from Joe with Mark: they seem to be more agreeable or not get heated since they know each other pretty well, but Raanan on the other hand keeps surprising Joe week by week with his childlike outlooks. Hahaha

JOE, have you seen "DON'T THINK TWICE"? It's about a struggling improv group in New York. Written and directed by MIKE BIRBIGLIA. An up and coming comic gets jealous of his talented girlfriend whose comedy career starts surpassing his. Good "Woodyesque" movie.

Raanan is way off base about Journey. They had 19 top 40 singles and Open Arms was their biggest hit until Don't Stop Believin' was revived in the mid 2000's for various reasons (being played at sporting events, movies and TV). It would be more accurate to say Journey is known for one song for people born after 1998.
I still love Raanan even though he is wrong about almost everything ever.

One of the worst death scenes has to be the engineer in Schindler's List. When her body bounced off the ground it caused a whole class of high school kids to laugh (and that caused a whole racial shitstorm, but that's another story).

I like horror because it was the first movies I was into as a young kid. There is some great film making in horror. A lot of horror directors start out as film nerds and can't get money to make a film and horror was always low budget. And I love early practical effects. Love Ranaan but ridiculous thing to say people who made friday the 13th is someone with 12 brain cells. Texas chainsaw has some amazing film making. That being said I will admit 90 percent of horror is shit and ridiculous but I still have a soft spot for it.

I’ve been wondering this too. If I had to guess I would say Colin Quinn. Seems like a legend enough to get roasted and would maybe be into it. Louis would make sense since he has such a strong connection to Joe and Bobby, but I don’t see Louis having any interest in a roast.

To be fair comics lie in bits, I guess it’s a little obtuse to think someone would lie about gay parents as it’s such a profound aspect of someone’s life, but I get the perspective of it’s someone who isn’t in entrenched in the stand up comedy world.
