Don’t know what the rest of the town looks like, but looks clean, quiet and peaceful, haven’t been there yet. 😊 do they have an airport there that you can get a flight from Manila there? How do you get there from Manila in public transportation?
Thanks for your comment! It’s definitely a place worth visiting! From Manila, there are buses that take around 3 hours to get to Olongapo or Subic. They have airport here but currently no commercial flights
@@gangstagummybear3432 Not everyone wants the BGC life, that’s why they are here. If I wanted that life I would have just stayed home. I’m 5 minutes from BGC and never go there except for S&R once or twice a month. I think many expats feel the same way, not everyone is the same. I lived it Iloilo for 6 months and would take that anyday over BGC.
@@drsiding939 Subic is closer to Manila so you dont have to take a flight, there are buses going in there, I think there are some in PITX. It's not a hassle to get there, as most of the journey is on the freeway or expressway and inside subic is pretty much empty like just roads and vegetation just like an American small rural town. Btw the traffic management there is so strict.

Subic Bay and specifically SBMA has really gone downhill since 1992 when the U.S. Navy left. So much trash, overgrown vegetation and deteriorated structures. How can they continue to promote the area as a tourist destination while not cleaning it up? So disappointing. Bad thing is that it appears to be the accepted norm now. I would expect the administration to take a more active role and get the place cleaned up. I would be embarrassed to see this on TH-cam if I were them.
Agreed, the state of Subic Bay is downright embarrassing. The worst part is most of the other publicly accessible beaches around the nation are in similar or worse state.
The place looks old, dated and not well-maintained. They don't even bother to clean the beach which is probably the only place of interest in the area.
The owner of that beach, they are their responsibilities to make the beach clean, etc and of course the people visiting the beach have respect and have discipline to make the beach clean by throwing their garbage in the garbage can and if their was no garbage can, bring it to their homes. This the right way in helping to make the beach clean, etc.
Wow! It's very nice and very perfect in Subic City.

Lol, i feel so sorry for the people that prescribe to this "bgc is the only nice area in PH" way of thought, so sad
