Other side of it is that when these big MNCs do layoffs they give a huge amount as a compensation which can feed you for an year without doing anything also these candidates get preference in future openings. Some company even give them in written that they will hier them back ASAP and they do. I have many examples in my company where the candidates were laid off and were rehired within a year, also they got good compensation. Laddoos in both the hands.

What is the difference between full stack development and software engineering? Is full stack development is a part of software engineering?
yes ,software engineering consists of building any type of software .Be it a OS , a testing framework or infra related tools.But fullstack only deal with frontend and backend of a website .
I don't think there is a difference or that you should differentiate them .. Full stack development is a part/branch of software engineering .. But to be a full stack developer you just need the knowledge of building the backend and frontend of a website , webapp or Native application. To be a software engineer you will need to know more then just being able to create a backend and a frontend. You will need to understand Algorithms, Datastructures, OOP, OS fundamentals, SDLC , DBMS etc. Also now-a-days knowledge about Cloud computing is a plus of a SDE aspirer . You can basically be a Software Engineer with specialization in Full Stack
