HMS Queen Elizabeth visits Gothenburg in Sweden

- In this episode, we follow Älvsborg's Amphibious Regiment and the patrol boat HMS Ärlig when the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth from UK enter the Gothenburg archipelago before her anchorage in port of Gothenburg.
We also get an insight into the surveillance mission that takes place in, under, and above the surface.

If the number of aircraft carriers of the UK was linked to economic GDP by this measure California should have 2 carriers. New york and Texas should have one carrier each. Jiangsu province and Guandong province should each have one carrier. It is ridiculous for the UK of the 21 st century to have aircraft carriers.
And Sweden has only 1, Gotland (island)
I have said this before, when you consider the UK only has 72 million people but still managed to build 2 aircraft carriers, while India and China each have in excess of 1.3 billion people each and yet still only have 2 carriers each ! The UK is small but not to be fucked with or underestimated.
@@ynwa3476 so how many have our European colleagues got? The reason they have so few is because aircraft carriers are easily nuked.
@erongi233 France has 1. And I think Italy and Spain have small ones (better suited for helicopters). The UK has 17 overseas territories, 1 being the Falklands (Argentina still claims them) I think its important we have aircraft carriers in order to project global power. Also, when was the last time an aircraft carrier was sank ?

The last aircraft carrier to be sunk in wartime was the Japanese aircraft carrier Amagi, which was sunk in Kure Harbour in July 1945.Compare like with like. France has overseas territories, French Polynesia, French Southern and Antarctic Territories, New Caledonia, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Wallis and Futuna,along with Netherlands,Spain,Portugal
