The Commando rework pained me, I got really good with the OG Commando despite it's difficulty in use. They made it too easy and less satisfying, then nerfed the damage. And I was one of the few weirdos who liked the launch incarnation because it had a really high skill ceiling.

Honestly out of any fps game I played, halo infinite felt so strange for my brain to process..like i never felt so off when I played the og Halo games.

im fine if aiming is hard but its just so inconsistent its shit, terrible servers dont help that either. sometimes u hit the shots u should but the next game u wont hit shit and lose.
@BlazenWrath oh for sure. Fromsofts entire library is profound & has filled that hole that inevitably forms in your heart when you play destiny(2) for long enough. The issue is that bungie era halo seems easily attainable today. The combo of 343 incompetence & Microsoft greed is a sorry excuse for the lack of great halo games.
And the worst part is just like Disney Star Wars and mcu Stans People will defend this game and every choice 343/microsoft makes to the death and guilt trip themselves and others into liking / accepting it and thus the series stagnates
This goes to show, (this movement is the closest thing we have now to arena shooters of the 90's/early 2000's. Like Quake, Unreal Tournament, etc.) that people would never like arena shooters now, if they were to be released on consoles. If I game's base movement is too fast people will complain. DOn't get me wrong, I agree, out of all the Halo's the original trilogy is better.
Tried this game for the first time recently coming from h3 and cannot stand it. Couple things you didn’t mention- 1: the sound. The gun and explosion sounds are horrible. They all sound extremely muffled and short like you have earmuffs on constantly. Old game noises were so much more crisp and full bodied. Also everything is so quiet when you aren’t the one shooting. It’s like dead quiet and someone will be attacking me and I can’t even tell. And the weapon noises all sound the same. In h2 and h3 if someone was swinging a sword nearby it was so obvious. In infinite I feel like I will spawn and look around and see no one and all of a sudden I get sword killed and it makes no noise I don’t even know what happened. 2: the interface and hud. The game ui in the menus feels so fucking bloated and complicated to navigate. Also the in game HUD just doesn’t look good and is not intuitive. The old huds are so much more clean and simple. I also do not like how everyone’s body glows red, it just looks weird as hell. I’m guessing this is cause all the maps are so over-designed and textured. The old maps were smoother and more simple which allowed the player models to stand out and not need a glow. It also gave more control in a fight with nade bouncing and placement. In infinite there is so much shit everywhere you can’t place a strategic made without it getting stuck in a fucking tree or random object texture. I don’t like the feel of any of the weapons either. I miss the old BR. Hell I’d even take the DMR at this point. Maybe it’s just the aiming and the movement but it just feels weird, like it’s trying to be a mouse and keyboard fast paced shooter but with a halo costume on. The map design also seems to have really gone to shit. H2 and h3 had the best arena shooter map design of all time. The new gen maps feels so confusing. The open spaces feel bad and indefensible and the tight areas feel like a maze where you have too much shit to navigate. Overall I think the design is just way too cluttered. The old mlg maps were so much better for comp and even the big casual maps felt more fun to explore and fight in. Just my experience as an H2 boomer trying the new gen

Halo has been a game for CASUAL players, not competitive crybaby’s. I’m sick of games catering to a small percentage of the community
