- I wanted to do a full disassembly and parts overview of a mostly original Rowe bill changer. These are great bill changers thats why there are still so many of them in use across the country that I have seen despite the company who built them being bought by American changer.
This specific model is a Rowe BC1400 that I recently made a repair to the coin detector LED to get it in operation again.

You said you changed the LED light to fix the error code… what error were you getting? Hopper low?
I have the same machine and wanting to replace the acceptor with the Mars acceptor but dont what model number to go with. Which one did you buy?

Do you know if you could modify a change dispenser to dispense less coins? For example if you were accepting $20 bills ONLY and in return dispensing 4 x 90% silver quarters. Or some similar variation.
The machines can be programmed for that yes. For example I could put $1 value tokens in instead of quarters.
What leds did you buy to replace ?
Thanks for the video covering the hardware. I don't know if you have the will respond, but do you know anything about the software side of it? Backstory omitted for brevity, we incidentally turn it off and it lead to it display "SET UP REQUIRED" which mean reprogramming per manual.
But why would a power cycle lead it to forget all settings? And reprograming it has found it is working a lot worse now. As in the right-side hopper does not work, left-side is slow to load, and a struggle to dispense the right number of quarters. Granted it seems a big part is just performing the same repairs, but would any software setting be able to hide that? Such issues should have been apparent. The two hints that might expain it is the previous owner might have kept MC mod off and possibly programmed it to treat the coins at tokens. Does that make sense at all or did we somehow only stated to notice after the powercycle
I dont really know what issue your getting on the software of your device is. There are still a lot of operators using these machines. You may be able to find an answer online.

@@matthewhamilton1896 yeah its About section then "Details" and is will say "For business inquiries" then you just need to click "View email address". Sorry for the hassle. If I post my email in these comments then the bots can get ahold of it and I get blown up with Spam.
