It would have been very easy for Simone to walk off that stage after bars thinking she was better than everyone there. Instead she hugs her team mate and congratulates her for her placement and telling she deserves it.

I think some of that had to do with how angry she was at USAG and how they treated their athletes. After the abuse scandal it became very apparent they cared little about their athletes. I imagine that's a tough spot to be so angry with people but then have to compete for those same people. I think she struggled with that and I originally thought that's why she bowed out in Tokyo The gold was guaranteed until she dipped last minute and screwed them over. Loved every second of it.

Now that we know what she was going through, it’s so apparent she wasn’t happy and mentally struggling. I’m glad she was able to enjoy Paris

Simone‘s full of herself attitude is really apparent and really affected her performance!!
