I definitely prefer how the anime handled Aizen here. Having him go right back to being all smug after such a brutal defeat by Ichigo and Kisuke feels like it cheapens the end of that battle. It makes much more sense to me that after spending two years in muken(the exact opposite of the Royal Palace, which is where he wanted to be), he would be more pissed off than anything else
Not only that. I think being more casual instead of a smartass makes him flex more. "I am so much better that I just start normal discussions like there is no issue between us and you cannot do anything about it?". This more relaxed attitude makes him feel more in control in my eyes. Beyond anything anyone can do or say.
Off topic theory: When Ichibe brings himself back to life after ichigo says his name, ichigo states that its weird and Ichibe says its something both of them can do. What if when Ulquiorra basically killed Ichigo and Orihime screamed his name from the depths of her soul he came back, meaning Ichigo too can somehow revive himself when killed and this will play a part in his future anime only scenes in battles. just a theory.....
Aizen has a lot of reasons to be frowning- he was beaten by an infant by Shinigami standards that he orchestrated to be a punching bag essentially his entire life- only to not only be easily beaten by that infant but that infant talked down to him like he- the mastermind who outwitted centuries old members- like he was an idiot. And he gets talked down to a man whom he saw as an equal for not obeying the status quo. And by the time he comes out, while he is strong- the gap between everyone - outside of Yamamoto- and himself is no longer as wide as they can manage to undermine his efforts via tech and some are reaching his level of power. And the final twist is that Ichigo- is deemed more important to be involved in the conflict and interacting with the Soul King whom he sought while Aizen is reduced to staying behind and being the unintentional last line of defense. It’s a far cry to how everything and everyone used to revolve around him.
Truth. It can be said he has filled Yamamoto's massive shoes even if that seems impossible. Be it his realist based views or postwar reforms he's the Captain Commander both Gotei 13 and Soul Society in general need.
I think that the reason Kenpachi trusts Nanao is because in the additional materials its made clear that Nanao and Yachiru seem to be friends. He respects that if Yachiru's best friend is willing to let other people look for her, he should follow along as well.
Loved the episode. Loved the obscene quality in animation just aizen and the kurohitsugi and everything was awesome. The sound effect for the Kurohitsugi flash of energy from the ground was just 🔥🔥🔥. I wish they removed the underbelly knocking out Aizen, negative aura moment, plus i agree i think having him be snarky and devious like the manga would’ve been better
Its so obnoxious that the characters were worried about “honor” with using Aizen when the actual concern should be “he almost won, what are we gonna do if he gets loose this time”
The tile of this video got me thinking of a running theme in Bleach-it’s very seldom that the gotei 13 saves themselves. It’s always people who’ve been either excommunicated from the gotei 13 (Uruhara, the vizards, etc) people who weren’t excommunicated but left for whatever reason they did (Yoruichi), people who were imprisoned by the gotei 13 (Aizen) or people who were never apart of the gotei 13 to begin with (Ichigo himself and his crew) 😂
Everything so far has been on point, they aren't dragging things out unnecessary, the new Anime material has made the TYBW arc better. I loved Shunsui speech, and that everyone cheered for him and how the main cast smiled in approval. Seeing Aizen and Grimmjow again was great, makes me looking forward what more changes we will get from them. The only thing I wish was that other Quincies left behind by Yhwach would come with the Soul Reapers too, it would have more of an impact in Shunsui quote of "past grudges are irrelevant" or when Aizen commented on the Soul Reapers and Quincies joining sides, (thought it would be better than just 3)
God i love this breakdown series. its always so intresting especially when it comes to eps like this that has a lot of easter eggs and details I may have missed
Just wanted to say thanks for breaking these videos down , bleach has been my favorite animation since childhood, I'm beyond happy with what they did with the re writes and additional content
This episode was really wholesome everybody coming together and even characters we haven’t seen in awhile even came back it lit my heart up just a bit but it also gave us the players we gonna have to fight in the Quincy war and next episode will be the final set up and I can’t wait to see how everything finally unfolds
@@nytroshaw1862 I have a good feeling their going to make Aizen the final villain after Yhwach defeat in the next cour it wouldn't make sense to leave him their in that chair angry that he didn't make it to the royal palace plus he's the Satan of bleach
I think it makes sense that the line from Haschwalth was cut as it pretty heavily contradicts with that we've been told about Reio so far. Despite his seemingly overwhelming power he was sealed by beings we know do not even begin to compare to him power wise. Despite Ywachs' opinion; id have to say based on what we've been shown even with the added context via the anime, it was Adnyeus' choice to become the linchpin of this newly established world order. That is the only way something like that would make sense especially considering we are introduced to Ichibei who is old enough to have directly been involved in that ceremony, yet clearly could never have actually overpowered Adnyeus based on the fact Ywach obliterated him in one attack before he even got the power of the SK. Imo Ywachs' entire crusade and his use of his power is misguided and that is something that will be touched on in the added content.
29:36 I'd argue the reaction that is the most missing here is Momo, who doesn't get a panel at all in the manga. Of all people, she would have the most visceral reaction to seeing Aizen. I was hoping that the anime would show her and Shinji's reaction as well to highlight just how much grief that releasing Aizen causes, but I digress.
My favorite scene was when Kyoraku gave his speech to everyone and asks them to protect this world in the name of the 13 Court Guard squads and then it cues the upbeat music showing everyone - ah, still goosebumps
I hope Meninas is still alive. Aside from throwing chunks of entire buildings, and giving Kenpachi a flush right-hand, her Volstandig powers "Dumbell Duster: Baton Beat", "Dumbell Duster: Halteres*", and "Diamond Push", ALL put Ichigo on the back foot. In terms of raw strength, she's in the top five. I'd like to see more of her, as she is my favorite of the Bambis, with Liltotto in a close second. *So, I had to look up "halteres". Apparently, a halteres was a dumbell used by ancient Greek Olympians, specifically long jump participants. They have a sort of boat shape, that has a straight handle connected at two points. The extra weight would allow farther, higher jumps during the first jump, but were then discarded for subsequent jumps. That's pretty good lore sourcing.
35:36 it's both. because Nanana IS Sternritter U: The Underbelly. his hand (or Bow in the manga) is the conduit by which his Schrift flows. thus, the two prongs we see in his visor are reflection of his hand and The U... simultaneously. 37:08 i think it was an underhanded fake out by Kubo. teasing his death in one episode, only for his death to arrive one episode later. he got to live long enough to show off his power against Aizen, but that's it. 39:24 i think the Death Art confirms he is dead. it seems to me that the only thing they're officially canonizing from the novels is Shinji's Bankai.... and that's really about it. in that case though, the writer nailed what his Bankai would be so perfectly that yeah. it had to be canonized. whereas other aspects? not as much. 42:08 i love it. more of that trademark Kubo mystery/intrigue building that i love so much. this is what i like to see. don't get me wrong, i like direct exposition as well. Candice and Meninas death art both have a skull mark in them. We dont have it in Nanana and Robert so it could have been a indicator of still being alive. Kinda like how all of the zombie shinigami had their death art being them facing a mirror.
love your content but avoided it for a long while of fear of being spoiled about something that will come later on in the anime. its nice to see chapters placed in this video and clearly labeled spoilers. I hope thats the case and its only at that part i should be concerned. thanks for your work and hopefully im able to enjoy it more again.
I always thought it was funny how Aizen was jealous of Ichigo and viewed himself as only beaten by a superior transcendent being. In actuality, the true architect of Aizen's defeat was a "mere" shinigami that outsmarted him and out planned him, Kisuke Urahara.
I have a really stretched theory that since we keep seeing scenes of Ukitake and Mimihagi throughout the episodes still and it wasn't absorbed, I think Mimihagi is going to in some way face off against Pernida or help out against Lille Barro. I know it's a massive reach but I can't see any reason why the staff would choose to keep showing him along with the fact that the anime staff said to pay attention to Ukitake more than other characters. It would be really interesting to see if Ukitake was still in control and chose to help out Kyoraku or Mimihagi takes over and goes to reunite with the other hand of Adenyus.
I look forward to your videos almost as much as the actual bleach episodes. I'm so bad at pronouncing half of those character and move names and you make it sound so easy and fluent. Once the season is over im going to read ahead so I'm not scared of your spoiler alerts
It's possible Ukitake will finally meet his end powering the spirit gate. They may tidy up his role like they've been doing in other areas, and what remaining spirit energy he has left to give will be as much or more than what everyone else is providing, but of course it's his last act. It could end his time in the series with a whimper, rather than a bang, but in a good way.
I love the idea that it takes ONLY 5 minutes for Kyoraku to send his message, them to talk to the Quincy, all the shinigami to arrive, Kyoraku to give his speech, the vizards to show up and speak. It's hilarious as shit as unrealistic as it is
I look forward to seeing Shunsui's bankai Katen Kyōkotsu: Karamatsu Shinjū. Shunsui is like a uncle, who usually don't come to fight easily. Whenever we encounter any serious situation, he arrives that time.
If Aizen can sense Ywhach reiatsu changing , this means he is somehow close to him in terms of power ? Back in Fake Karakura town Aizen said only the ones on his level can sense his reiatsu , and here somehow he is the only one who can sense Ywhach
When it comes to the inky baby monsters, my interpretation was that they were a manifestation of Yhwach regaining his full name while infusing the Soul Kings power. Last cour, it showed Ichibe removing his name in black ink, similar to the monsters color and consistency, and to top it off, they have his pupil color and "rainy" shape. I believe the monsters were a symbol of Yhwach regaining his true name and his inherit abilities as a result of absorbing the soul king. They were sent out as a means to gather information on the Soul Society and how they were handling the death of the king. All this despite the episode cards, admittedly. I admit though, it doesn't answer why Aizen manages to deceive Yhwach in the end, unless chairsama conceals Aizens pressure such that even the new king cant sense it.
Yoruichi's brother be like setting up the tenshiheisou in a platform, and then nope, we're gonna use another platform made by Mayuri instead because Ukitake's dead body is still in there
What if Renji helps fight Jugram with Bazz B initially and is like a parallel with him and Ichigo almost showing what exactly would have happened if Ichigo hadn't helped him out his situation. Because I entirely agree something seems to be going on between the two and with the renji scene in the op almost looking like he sacrifices himself maybe Renji takes an attack for Bazz B or something during a fight. I kind of hope not though as I am worried if Renji "loses" again it kind of defeats his big moment of triumph earlier. Who knows tho can't wait to see next week.
I find it extremely hilarious and hypocritical that the leftover Quincies offered that no other sternritters will get in soul society’s way. Since those 3 nutjobs spend their time turning against the other sternritters prior to Auswählen already. So no Quincy to get in anyone’s way before episode 31. Nanana being set up as literal bait for backstabbing to convince the soul reapers. Crushing from the tower like deadweight. Giselle’s smug face makes my blood boil yet again.
Tbh i never understood why Nanana was so loyal to Yhwach after Auswelen, did he really expected that his Majesty would acknowledge him if he stopped soul reapers in SS?
@ the same could be said about Robert who didn’t even saw it necessary to warn his fellow sternritters. Haschwalth treats it as if there was no greater honor than to lay down their lives for their majesty.
@@Grayson-Winchester at least Robert tried to put them out of their misery while Nanana straight up didn't care that they almost became batteries for his Majesty and SS
Yeah even though not all the soul reapers are saints. It’s clear the sternritters are far cry of being good themselves. And the fact the condemned themselves for Ywach suppose cause tells you they are beyond help
@@animanco6833 exactly. Most of the sternritters if not all couldn’t care less about what the soul reapers did in the past. Around a time where some of them weren’t even born yet. The title Sternritter gave them the opportunity to live out their violent tendencies. They wanted the power Yhwach bestowed on them to have as much fun as possible. Only to eventually meet their end because of him.
I hope we get a ONA/OVA showing off how magnificent the Soul King was. Just him going to battle against the old entities that threatened the realm before the split.
So, cour 3 remaining contents are Grimmjow chasing Askin, Bazz B vs Jugram, Mayuri and Nemu vs Pernida, Kyoraku and Nanao vs Lille. Cour 4 must be really packed with 5 last battle 😮, i kinda worry how the anime add more new original contents with limited episodes left
What if the lack of the spiritual pressure effect is a sign of how much our heroes have grown in strength. Where the only reiatsu that fazes them is the soul kings.
Ukitake appears to be twitching, perhaps he and Mimihagi are trying to hold the world's together somehow. It was never explained why the world's didn't immediately collapse after the SK died. Ukitake will die but this kinda answers a big question
Question Tommo, or chat: do you think if Ywach Bach faces any aspect of the soul king in battle such as Perida would his Almighty abilities be null and void for the entire fight and any one involving the battle?

Thanks for uploading this, my day is not great today after yesterday results, so I'm glad I can listen to another one of your videos, while figuring out what to do in my life.
I just thought of this now. Could Kyoraku's line about honor subtly imply that he disagrees with Ukitake's ideology? Maybe I'm reading too much into it though
Frankly, they aren’t “death” art so much as they are “defeat” arts. There’s been a couple times such art has been shown, I believe some even for the soul reapers being shown despite not dying Also, Giselle shouldn’t have been injured there. In all likelihood, he should have already healed himself, and his clothes are merely damaged from the stab
I know this out of topic but can you make vs video about prime kenpachi vs prime toshirou Because i remember to read that toshiro bankai will be equal to that yamamoto if he trained for another 100 years meanwhile kenpanchi is already had the raw power but he can't control it yet

I always thought it was funny how Aizen was jealous of Ichigo and viewed himself as only beaten by a superior transcendent being. In actuality, the true architect of Aizen's defeat was a "mere" shinigami that outsmarted him and out planned him, Kisuke Urahara.
Blasted from the back by bazz b's burner finger is nasty work
Burner finger 2
Renji and Bazz -B vs. Haschwalth
Renji 's also getting some new scenes
I don't know how that's going to work.
I look forward to your videos almost as much as the actual bleach episodes. I'm so bad at pronouncing half of those character and move names and you make it sound so easy and fluent. Once the season is over im going to read ahead so I'm not scared of your spoiler alerts
Ah yes my 1 hour weekly podcast episode has dropped
Aizen the GOAT!!!
Amazing episode, this arc has amazing moments even without fights, and now even better animated.
Thank you I enjoy your vids so much
I love the idea that it takes ONLY 5 minutes for Kyoraku to send his message, them to talk to the Quincy, all the shinigami to arrive, Kyoraku to give his speech, the vizards to show up and speak.
Yoruichi's brother be like setting up the tenshiheisou in a platform, and then nope, we're gonna use another platform made by Mayuri instead because Ukitake's dead body is still in there
When are we gonna give Kon his durability flowers ? Dude is top tier in durability 😭💯
Who ?
@@nickdurham3946I meant kon , I fixed it
What if Renji helps fight Jugram with Bazz B initially and is like a parallel with him and Ichigo almost showing what exactly would have happened if Ichigo hadn't helped him out his situation.
Another hour video? Tommo fans gonna be eating good for the rest of this season
Mate, don't do this to me, I was about to go to sleep.
Episode 31 was fan services it was beautiful
I hope we get a ONA/OVA showing off how magnificent the Soul King was. Just him going to battle against the old entities that threatened the realm before the split.
So, cour 3 remaining contents are Grimmjow chasing Askin, Bazz B vs Jugram, Mayuri and Nemu vs Pernida, Kyoraku and Nanao vs Lille.
Cour 4 must be really packed with 5 last battle 😮, i kinda worry how the anime add more new original contents with limited episodes left
Ah, so the case for Robert continues...
What if the lack of the spiritual pressure effect is a sign of how much our heroes have grown in strength. Where the only reiatsu that fazes them is the soul kings.
Thank you for posting today!! 💙
💙💙💙
Ukitake appears to be twitching, perhaps he and Mimihagi are trying to hold the world's together somehow. It was never explained why the world's didn't immediately collapse after the SK died. Ukitake will die but this kinda answers a big question
I like the theory that Kyouraku is Aizen’s father.
Wonder if that liquid has anything to do with the one Reio was standing on when dividing the world...
Could be similar
Question Tommo, or chat: do you think if Ywach Bach faces any aspect of the soul king in battle such as Perida would his Almighty abilities be null and void for the entire fight and any one involving the battle?
He can just use Auswalhen against them. He might not be able to see their future but he's still superior in many ways. He would just absorb them
Since Yhwach never tore mimihagu away from it take I feel they could give him more “extra scenes” like the rumors said
I was waiting for this
Will wahrwelt be created in its entirety next episode? Will we have a setup for Mayuri vs pernida too?
What I'm wondering about the next episode is how it will handle the mention of the Kyōgoku. Will Memories of Nobody actually be canonized?

She is in squad 13, squad 11 doesn’t patrol the world of the living.

We here!! Let's goooooo
You guys think we'll get Renji and Rukias wedding at the end of season 4?
the vandenreich starting to feel a little bit too real rn💀
I know that scene with nananajakoop and aizen is gonna lead to ugly comments by powerscalers.
That scene is 10 years old so I doubt it. If anything already existed threads will be dug up
56:54 lmao
Mayuri and shunsui are the only captains who had no issue working with Aizen. Seems like everyone had too much pride.
Can't wait for the shunsui and Mayuri fights. To me that's the peak of the TYBW arc in the manga. Let's see what the manga adds.
Thanks for uploading this, my day is not great today after yesterday results, so I'm glad I can listen to another one of your videos, while figuring out what to do in my life.
It’s been a great day
@@omensoffate Not for this nation, but I'm not here for a fight about politics.
Been a fantastic day

@@ezra1735 Then why did you bring up politics? You knew exactly what you were doing.
I'm watching this in bed after a loooong @ss day, it's like a reward😅
Do you think we are going yo get a bunch of new fights in part 4 or will we get the light novels animated with the end being jo breaths from hell
I say both to be honest but will see
What if Nnoitra survived?
He would solo anyone easily he has hierro and 6arms The only one who stand a chance is maybe soul king prime
I’m locked in
I just thought of this now. Could Kyoraku's line about honor subtly imply that he disagrees with Ukitake's ideology? Maybe I'm reading too much into it though
Frankly, they aren’t “death” art so much as they are “defeat” arts. There’s been a couple times such art has been shown, I believe some even for the soul reapers being shown despite not dying
Also, Giselle shouldn’t have been injured there. In all likelihood, he should have already healed himself, and his clothes are merely damaged from the stab
Im having a great day today with the USA news. This upload is a cherry on top!
May God bless America with Donald Trump
Do we think tybw will end on the hell arc chapter, i think it will. Would be no reason for it not to.
I know this out of topic but can you make vs video about prime kenpachi vs prime toshirou
Because i remember to read that toshiro bankai will be equal to that yamamoto if he trained for another 100 years meanwhile kenpanchi is already had the raw power but he can't control it yet
