Thanks for this video. I managed to get my crystal ball working. It was not plugged in! Mine still has a minor cosmetic issue with a scratch on the front "glass" that I am not sure how to deal with, but beyond that, my Zoltar is now working correctly! All due to you good sir.
Thank you NewWaveToys much appreciated. Yes please share it. I love contributing my knowledge to others. I am going to be doing more mods stay tuned. 😃
You are correct, I do enjoy this. I have another one that is original not modified it's perfect. I love it. But it is fun to be creative. Me and others like to do this as a curiosity and a desire to explore new ways of doing things and to see what develops in the process. If it were not for people like myself, you would not have your Zoltar to enjoy. Thanks for the comment.
Yes it is, if you watch this video and take your time, you can fix this. 😀 Good luck and feel free to let me know if you were successful. Thanks for the comment.
I had the same issue with mine. Removed all the tiny screws from the back and reached in to dislodge it. Fairly easy aside from the fact that the plastic is extremely soft and most of the plastic threads came out on the screws upon removal.
@@patalexander4624 So that's unfortunate indeed. I have several of these taken all them apart to fix various things very miner, mostly the fringe and a little nylon fibers from the fringe. All screws performed great all backed out no plastic threads, I know what you are talking about. If your screws are stripped out, get some plastic tooth picks snap off a little bit of the plastic tooth pick, incert that into the screw hole. And thread in the screw these are self tapping screws, be sure to clean off the old plastic on the screw before you reinsert the screws, this will work. Done it many times, hope this helps you......😀
I saw in the NWT reddit that one issue about Zoltar was there was No randomization. Everytime you turn it on it plays the activation sequence in the same order. This wouldn't be a big deal except it resets everytime you turn it on. This means everytime you turn it on your hear the same exact fortune sequence. There are apparently 12-16 but iv never heard more then the first 4. I was just curious is there a way to mod it so there IS randomization? Love the videos and thank you for uploading them!
That would be a reprogramming on the unmarked integrated circuit that we would not have access to. So no can't mod the source code that makes Zoltar run.
Another great video! What's that sound at about th-cam.com/video/yRzjgjMTjNA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=j-gzp3yAHxz3Ag0P&t=727 ? Wasn't just the 'dropping resistors' ???
TRAV!!!!!!!!!!!! I do have other Arcades running in the other room in the shop. One of them is Metamorphic Force arcade. I heard it say "Heave" I heard something probably plastic I may have hit my light. I was not me if that's what you mean lololol 😃💩💩💩 Thanks for the comment, more to come....
Just to test your theory and my curiosity, I have been running a stock Zoltar in demo mode for 4 months. every 5 minutes he says a phrase and animates. so I figured he has activated 34,000 times no signs of fatigue. Everybody is entitled to there opinion. They are neat for sure. Thank you for your comment.
@ Good for you. Great and you got it on a good sale $109 I believe. Are you going to do any modifications to Zoltar? I know where you could watch some great videos on the subject. Lolol😄
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Thank You, stay tuned much to come. ;-)

Mine arrived today it does work but the neckless is stuck between his head which is preventing it and the mouth from moving.
Is it easy to take apart?

Not worth $150. Not even worth $50. It’s neat, but cheaply built.

@ well for the price you’d think it would have a wood cabinet.
@ Yes if it were made of wood the cost would have been even higher.
@@mikecomptech well I just bought one. Lol
