I need to get back to a few videos! :D I've had so many side projects that I haven't had a chance to work on them. And got a job doing metal fabrication for high end clientele and while I am absolutely LOVING it I am often too tired (even on an easy day) to do much else lol comments though help me get back in the mood though xD and I'm glad you were able to learn something :)
Does it change the color or tone of the stain if you soak the leather in water first? Never worked with leather but I thought I heard that was a thing you could do
I only soak in water when doing stamp based tooling as it makes the leather more pliable, I have mixed water with the dye but it doesn't come out very good, but it's actually an interesting thought to soak the leather then dye it, not for the outside exactly as I believe the color would need another two or three coats for the right shade, but for the inside which I need to dye but donut care about beyond that its not tan lol. I'll test if I can save dye on the underside this way, and how it interacts on the first coat with the top for you, would make a decent shop clip! Thanks for the idea :)
@@jeremykatanicart396 It's a quiet enough task I can do it at any time of day, look out for it in the next two weeks or so :) I just got two super short clips done xD but even those took 5 hours to edit lol
