This was for me. I’m a children’s book writer and it seems that A LOT of books in the age group I’m writing for have a dead parent, racism, poverty, and all kinds of trauma. I have struggled with the thought, “what if happy books don’t sell?“ but I believe I’m the one to write the happy books. ❤
