its not a "breed" its just a chicken that has not been selectivley bred for meat/egg production, i have a silkie/serama chicken with similar abilities. most breeds that are not forced to gain weight/ or have overactive ovaries are much more like their ancestors and are more agile.
all chickens can fly this well.. the industry just tries to convince us that the unhealthy, fat, broken-legged chickens are like this naturally. we force-feed them to the point they cannot even walk :/ humans are horrible... I've been to a sanctuary once where they give each rescue chicken special care with medican attention, but even after years of being taken care of and getting as much help as possible, most cannot regin their stregth. they can barely walk. their legs are swollen way beyond its normal size. their wings are too small for their chimically enlarged bodies. and they have a condition where they cannot feel satiated no matter how much food they eat, courtesy of the livestock insdustry of course.
Most people don't realize that chickens can fly, they just have no endurance and their wings are a little too small for sustained flight. Of course farmers bred them this way over the centuries to keep them manageable.

I first saw a flying chicken in a rural residence here in Philippines. It's a sight to behold and i literally laughed like a child because of amazement (Though i'm 14 when i saw that so safe to say i'm a child) even when we get home i can't comprehend the comical majesty of a flying chicken that flew exactly over me.

My chicken actually does this, we found out why she was doing it, because one of my other chickens were hurting her so she always flew into other peoples gardens, our next door neighbour got incredibly angry, she soon started going to someone else but they really thought she was a cutie and admired her. We sadly gave her away because of this, I miss she so much. But one of my hens is broody!!! So excited! If you have any tips please leave some since it’s actually my first time getting a broody hen 😊😊

I have 2 teenage Black Rock Hens. I’ve had just Rock hens before, but not Black Rock hens. Anyway, I went to the 2 story barn...chicken & duck Taj Mahal, to let them out and graze. I thought a predator had gotten in and took only those two overnight. They were no where to be found. As I opened the door to let the others outside, I heard something on the 2nd story where hay bales are stored. Both Rainy & Stormy discovered they could fly and had flown up there! They both flew down and joined the flock. A controlled graceful flight! Since that day, they continue to fly high to roost or check out the bale storage. They also fly up and over our fence into the choke cherry tree. I notice they don’t do a lot of long distance flying like these chickens in the video.They don’t seem to need or want to. However, a gate slat got broken during a storm recently. All my birds squeezed thru and escaped. I busted them in headed for my garden. Rainy and Stormy decided to get in on the action, but rather than squeeze thru the opening, both got a running start and glided over the top of the fence! I was amazed. I knew chickens could fly. I’ve just never owned any that did! Like I said, they’re teenagers. I wonder if they’ll continue as adults?
Chickens can actually fly. The reason that you never see this is because over the years humans have bred chickens to grow immensely heavy.
