As I write this (27/09) You have to install the "Squad - Public Testing" client to try them out, if you own the game it should show up on your Steam library. It still has some bugs but we should see the update on the main client really soon.

@@Patchaddictedpolymath tbh even rpgs are known to overpenetrate heli hulls, usually the only time a heli gets taken out by something is if it hits something major or airbursts injuring the crew

I just wanted to let you know that your videos helped me climb out of a depressing pit I was in for a few days. I don't have friends to play games with, watching you and others play is great fun.
I remember making my mining barge in Space Engineers with only upwards thrusters and gyros. It worked fine for me but friend playing with me once "hopped in to do some quick mining" and didn't expect the severe lack of control in the other directions. Was fun listening to him rapidly descending into severe panic :)

It'd be cool if there were ropes or something so you can insert a squad onto a roof, and maybe a first aid kit and supply crates with parachutes on certain helicopters.
Lets wait for the helicopters (and pilots) become good enough till they consider this

It’s fun to see people try to fly helies in actual gameplay after only trying the heli Training once and failing bad and just thinking yeah I can do it just a few small mistakes.
It’s especially fun when you’re inside that helicopter

Pro tip for helicopter play. I always use the settings simular to the battlefield vietnam the older one. You can keybind the same as that and it WILL help you fly easier

Those helicopters are hella beefy even against AAA guns that were meant to take them down... WTF!
I think you have to hit them on the right spot, but the biggest issue right now is the hit detection not registering hits.
Yeah, hit the engines on the body just under the rotors. Don't think the tail can be damaged yet.
the Hip can take 10-15 rounds of 23mm frag IRL, same with the blackhawk, if you aren't hitting the ATRQ or engine compartment, yeah you'll tear up the troop bay, but you won't really damage the helo or hurt the pilots unless you hit critical linkages or the cockpit

As a helicopter pilot I can safely say that they are so much easier to fly IRL than they are in Squad.
I am pretty sure that the password is always "automatic fire"
