But in episode 382, Hashirama says that Sasuke is almost as strong as Madara. So wouldn't that mean that Itachi *was* as strong as Madara?
Sefik Durus Even is he did have the mangekyou or the eternal mangekyou Itachi would still be stronger despite him becoming slowly blind... It's only when he would be fully blind that Sasuke would become stronger than him.
Jamil Owens itachi did what he did to save kohona while sasuke is ignorant of what he had i like itachi better and if itachi didn't want to die sasuke would'n have been able to kill him

Upon doing so Itachi confessed everything to Sauske so he could decide which road to go down. The entire Uchiha clan sucked and even though they had the ultimate military power in Konoha as the Police Force and could arrest anyone they wanted, they still wanted more power and were even willing to do a coup which would start a war and kill thousands to do it. They were that greedy and didn't appreciate what they already had, and they refused all peaceful negotiations from Hiruzen. The only decent Uchiha were Kagami, Shisui, and Itachi.

They didn't fall prey to the curse of hatred bs and were well-intentioned characters. And I know that Madara doesn't whine. He still cannot handle reality though.
